Ch.27

It had been months since the war happen and now winter was here. It was cold and everyone is slowly losing hope. The poor people are starving while the rich noble live their lives as normal in the Sun kingdom, while in the Moon empire, everyone was suffering. Everyone was fighting and working together. It only kept getting colder in December.

Other kingdoms across the world wonder when this twin battle will end. Elatha slammed his fist on his desk. He was in his office room. He was pissed, the new king of the Sun kingdom burned some of their village once again and now the Sun kingdom owns that part of that land.

"How dare they! And they said I was heartless!!!"

The Moon empire has been good at pushing back and the only reason they are losing is because Kaiser refuses to use magic against them because he wanted it to be a fair fight, not knowing the Sun kingdom did cheat a bit. Calix was standing in front of Elatha's desk, he was the one who reported the news of the Sun kingdom killing some innocent children of the Moon Empire side.

"Your majesty, we should use the magic on them and put them in their place!"

Elatha sign. He felt a little stressed from this! He closed his eyes. Think carefully about what should he do.

"Yes, I understand… I think it is nice to see that kingdom sunset forever~"

Elatha smirked and opened his eyes.

Calix felt chills down his back. He understands that Elatha shouldn't be messed with. Elatha signs some papers before he hands them to Calix.

"Let's go, time is not waiting for us,"

It was now or never, he didn't know they were cheating by using magic. Sooner or later he would have to find out. Elatha came up with a plan with the other higher up, one thing for sure he was going to be in the front line from now on. Many didn't agree.

"Your majesty! It's not safe!"

One of the military officers begged him. They wanted him to stay home but Elatha refused. Having his brother's sword with him, he is ready to fight for his empire. However, the military officers would not allow him to go, since he was the last royal of this kingdom. Kaiser ends listening and stays back.

The sun kingdom was also ready to attack starting small, attacking the small village to warn the Moon empire. Now that Cynfal was king, he was going to arrest the Duke Chela family. Make Viviana his woman. He was in his office which was once his grandpa, the same office where he killed his grandpa. Looking out at the same glass window he broke.

"King Cynfal!"

Cynfal turned around, wearing his king's outfit. Seeing one of the guards reporting the news. The guard had fear and was shaking a bit.

"What's wrong?"

"Your Highness… Duke Chela killed the people you sent to arrest! He also fled with Lady Vivana!"

Cynfal threw a book at him.

"How the fuck did you let him go!? He is only sixteen!! How!?"

He yelled and started to throw more stuff at the guard. He was pissed how did a sixteen years old fight and win?!

"Where did he go!? Where!?"

Cynfal yelled once again, his face was red. He couldn't believe this happen to him!

The sun was setting. Me and Eternal have been riding the horse for a few days. They were stopping and staying at small inns. It was just a typical morning until the guards came to arrest us because Eternal hurt the new king Cynfal. He killed all the guards and grabbed two horses, making me ride a horse.

So far I did pretty well. It has been a while since I rode a horse. I am glad I am doing alright. I am not sure where we were going but I trust my brother. I also couldn't understand how he was able to kill all those guards. He must have trained hard on it. He changed a lot during those times he was gone.

"Eternal, where are we heading?"

"The moon empire…"

The Moon Empire!? I mean, I am glad that I can see Kaiser! However, I am scared of the new emperor! We are now at a gate… Wait! I saw this gate before… The gate opened and maids came! No, this is where the emperor lives! The palace!

"Eternal! What are we doing here!?"

"Just follow me,"

He got off the horse and helped me down.

"Viviana, I believe it's time…"

Eternal looked at me and I was confused.

"Time for wha-"

The maid dragged me away from Eternal and I tried to fight back!

"Let go of me! Eternal!!"

They dragged me away and the fared Eternal was! What was going on!? The maid finally stopped when we were inside someone's office! They close the door behind me.

In Front of me was someone with white mullet hair! Is it Kaiser!? No way… Is it him? It can't be! He is wearing an emperor outfit and Kaiser's hair is long! This man's hair is short! No way-

"Viviana… It has been a while,"

He turned around. I was shocked, it was Kaiser, he looked even more handsome than I last seen him. He slowly walked up to me but I took a step back. I held my hand up to stop him from walking.

"Who are you,"

"Viviana, it's me, Kaiser…"

He tries to hold my hand but I move my hand away.

"Who are you kaiser?! Tell me,"

He sighs a bit. Is he a second prince the whole time!?

"You can hate me all you want, I am the emperor of this empire, I was the second prince before…"

"Stop talking! I-I don't even know what to say,"

What do I even begin to say, I need to take time to think about what the hell just happened. I was having mix feelings. I need to leave, I need time to be alone.

"I… I am going to leave,"

I left the office room and just run to any room. I end up leaving one of the flat shoes but I didn't care. All I wanted to do is just hide and not accept the truth. I close the door behind me. I slowly sit down, having my back against the door. The sky became dark and the curtain started to flow everywhere because of the open window.

I was upset he lied to me! Why did he lie to me he wasn't a prince? Is he truly ruthless? I can hear the maid's footsteps rushing everywhere, looking for me and calling out my name. Even my little brother was looking for me but I couldn't bring myself to open the door.

I also felt scared, I met a man that could have hurt but… He never dares to hurt me. That's right, all those times… he never did anything to hurt. He always take care of me and was always there for me. There must be a reason to hide the truth from him being a prince.

Ah, I remember now, all those times he told me about the second prince's childhood were all about him. He suffer so much and he must have felt like he didn't deserve to be a prince because of a family curse. How cruel of me to push him away when he told me he loved me…

*flashback*

[ Kaiser cupped my cheeks,

"I'm in love with you…"

He brush my wet hair out of my face and kissed me once again, ]

*flash back end*

I stood up and slowly open the door, I took off my other flats and held them as I walk around barefoot. I was looking for Kaiser or Emperor Elatha. I used to work here, so I know where most room was, however, I wasn't sure which room he be staying in now that he is emperor.

I took my guess and went to the room he stayed as a prince, a room I never dare enter, The only time I did enter is to clean the bedsheets and he was never there. I knock on the door. I heard a voice.

"Sir Calix, if that is you. Leave me alone… I fucked up…"

I couldn't help but gasp. I must have hurt him.

"Kaiser- I mean Elatha, It's me, Viviana…"

I softly spoke and I soon heard a loud thud and the sound of paper flying everywhere. He opens the door and there he stands in front of me. His eyes were puffing, did he just cry!? Elatha was wearing blue pajama pants and a blue robe that seemed to be thrown on last minute, he didn't even tie his robe, leaving me to see his bare chest and abs.

I slowly look away and blushed. Is it just me or this is becoming a random moment where he is showing lots of skins?

"V-vivana! H-how did you find me!"

"Elatha, I use to work as a maid here,"

I still didn't dare look at him. He looks down and seems to tie the robe quickly.

"Please come in,"

I came into the room and he close the door shut. His room was a mess, full of paper everywhere and books. I bend down and grab one of the paperwork. Even a sword on the desktop. I've seen that sword before. It was Prince Amaris' sword he always carry.

"War against the sun kingdom!? There is a war going on!?"

"Yes, the Sun kingdom threatened us first by burning one of our small villages down,"

He brush some of the paper off of his bed and sat down at the end of the bed. I picked up one of the papers on the floor. I was shocked. As I keep picking up paper on the floor and reading it, it keeps saying how the war is. Many villages were burned down and the number of death from not only more soldiers is scary.

"How did this happen?"

My hand was shaking and all he did is stay calm and crossed his arm. Why isn't he saying anything? He slowly turns to me and looks me in the eyes,

"It's King Cynfal who did all of this, our Moon empire has been fighting back, but the people are losing hope.

"King Cynfal is crazy… he tries-"

"Yeah, I heard he try to arrest you and your brother. Like, take you as his slave or something? I was pissed to hear that from Eternal,"

Does he not know the reason why he wanted to arrest my brother? You know what, fuck Cynfal! He may be my cousin but he is crazy and creepy. I am scared he will do something to me again.

"Elatha, King Cynfal try to rape me and Eternal saved me by using a sword…"

He held his hand together as his elbow landed on his thighs. His face grew dark.

"He what again?"

His voice was deep but clear. I gulped. I wouldn't want him to kill him but torture him or something! Let him get a taste of his own medicine!

"He try to rape me, he touched me and left me marks on my neck!"

I yelled and showed him those disgusting marks that wouldn't leave. Elatha stood up and grab the sword.

"Stay here, I am going to burn the sun kingdom down!"

He shouted and using his magic turn his outfit into a war outfit that is fit for an emperor. Black and red that made him look like a demon.

"Let me come with you!"

He slams the door open and I follow him behind still bare feet, He turns around and faces me.

"Now princess, it's not safe to see what I will do to them…"

"Tch, my life was hell! It is nice to see some people suffer!"

He smirked before holding out his hand and my other flats pop up in his hand. He went down on one knee and place the flat down.

"If you coming with me princess, you will need to wear some shoes~"

He looks at me, how is he smiling at me when he is about to go burn a whole kingdom down? I slip my feet into the flats and took out the other flats and put them on. He held my hand. The soldier heard about this he got everyone ready for battle. The solider started to have hope knowing this emperor was going to fight alongside them. Elatha even wore a nice war outfit.

Even Eternal agree to go and go against his own kingdom?! He is also so young! I told him no, he just told me to get lost old lady and it was his duty to help Kaiser. This child! How rude!? It was set, we went in the middle of the night, using magic skills to get there.

They smash the sun kingdom palace window, and some more soldiers burn the village and even burn the capital. With so much fire around, it looked like hell was burning on a dark night. Those flames made it look like the sun has risen when it was mid of the night.

We were inside the palace. Breaking and killing anything in our way. I have never seen so much blood. It scared me honestly. I knew I couldn't fight, even if I was skilled in swordship. Those men would be still too strong for me. I end up going with traps. I set them up and use some magic skills to throw some heavy rocks at them.

I soon met Lady Anastasia! I didn't expect her to be fighting for the Sun Kingdom. She was very skillful.

"We meet again Lady Anastasia,"

I calmly said as around us, the flames burn the walls of blood down. Lady Anastasia didn't say a word and held a sword to my neck.

"I didn't expect you to be a trader! Viviana how could you for the Sun Kingdom?!"

I look at the bloody sword and look her in the eyes. Her eyes were scared to hurt me and she was shaking. It's sad that we are now enemies because I am now against the Sun Kingdom royal family. Even if the royal sun blood runs through my blood.

"Kill me then…"

I challenge her and her hands were shaking and she move her sword away.

"Must we be enemies? Can't we meet again and have some tea together?"

I picked up a sword from the dead soldier.

"Maybe… Just know I had my reason to do this…"

I use a magic spell to create fog to run away. I can't hurt her. She was a good friend that helped me. I was looking for one person. Until I saw Celina! This last revenge will be sweet~
