Roomate

It's been 10 days since that incident. You might be wondering how I make up an excuse , well I didn't. I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing but conveniently , my maternal granpa back in China became sick , like really really sick. So being the filial daughter she is , My mom has to visit him and brought me along following his request. So I didn't have to make an excuse to skip school. Which is quite convenient but I'm also really worried about my grandpa. We weren't that close since we live across the country but he was always nice to me . He always has the best present for me . Looking at him lying at the hospital bed made me really sad . But I can't say I didn't expect it . He is already over 80 and he had a lot of health problems. It's already suprising he love this long . I sat quietly in the corner as mom is talking to him . I don't understand much of the conversation as my Chinese is only basic but from the look of it , I don't think my grandpa has much time left.

Granpa call me in and I gave him a hug .

After spending some time with them , I was sent home as I still have college. And now 10 days , I'm home again. But I won't be here for long . My mom wanted to stay with her dad until he get better since we don't know what will happen yet . And I have to move in the college dorm because apparently my mother doesn't trust me home alone. If you're curious about my father he died 4 years ago. That's all you need to know about him for now , I'll get to the details later .Or not , I don't know. So anyway I am my way to my new room and my roommate had to Diane from all the people. Just my luck I guess. Apparently she prefer to live alone and decided not to have a roommate. And being her, everyone made arrangements for her to live alone. But since I applied out of nowhere, I have to be assigned to the only room available. Great isn't it ? It's gonna be so much fun being the target of everyone's envy and hatred. I couldn't ask for a better situation. I knocked gently on the door dreading to see the person inside. I hope I can atleast resolve some of the situation by getting on her good side.

She opened the door almost immediately.

" Sorry, I know I'm being a nuisance. Please bear with me only until my mom come back .

I promise I won't stay for a long time." I immediately apologize before she have to chance to speak. Better to apologise first rather than wait for to be her angry . I've always used this trick on my mom and it works most of the time . People can't stay angry at you if you act all guilty and submissive. Even if they still are , the damage will be greatly reduced.Contrary to what I had expected I heard her chuckled. It sounds so good like an angel . Wait what am I thinking? This is not the time for that.

" You're so cute . Why are you saying sorry? Why did you just assumed. In contrast I'm really excited to be roommate with you . Come on in ." She said.

" Really! I thought you'd be mad . They told me you prefer to live alone. And I just ruin your peace." I said surprised.

" Well you see I'm not. Now are you gonna keep standing there . People will think I'm bullying you . Come in and assemble your stuffs. I'll help you ." She said. I was kinda taken aback. She's nothing like I expected. I thought she'd be rude and cold like all those popular girls. But she's actually really nice . Or is she just acting nice to mess with me later on . I mean she practically ruled her high school from what I'd seen in my research. Even now in college, she have so many followers. She can't be that simple. I have to be careful. I might end up falling for her if I'm not . She's already attractive as hell , I won't be able to manage my heart anymore if she's also kind and nice . I don't want to end up being one of her followers. I need to avoid that at all cost . Becoming her roommate is such a big mistake . I'll have to see her attractive self everyday . God help me .
