Chapter 20

Before Giselle can rebuke her sister's words, they heard a sudden on the door. A maid opened the door and informed them their parents had arrived.

The sisters look at each other before they let out an irritated sigh at the same time. Rachel fixed her hair in front of the mirror while Giselle changed her shirt. When they were both presentable, Rachel and Giselle go downstairs to meet their parents.

Their parents just arrived and they are now sitting in the living room.

"Dad!"

It was Giselle who first called her father and ran towards him. She sat beside her father and wrapped her arms around his waist. Though surprised, Damian still smiled at his daughter and gently patted his hand on her back.

"Dad, welcome home!" Giselle cheerfully said. "I've been waiting for you and mom to arrived!"

"Welcome home, mom and dad."

Opposite from the cheerful greetings of Giselle, Rachel greeted their parents in a gentle and soothing voice. She sat beside her mother and looked at Damian with a smile on her face.

"Dad, I told you to bring me with you today! But you only brought mom with you!" Giselle complained in a coquettish voice.

"Giselle, do not act like that. You know that mom and dad go on a date today. You should understand that." Rachel scolded her sister.

"Hmph! We all know that mom and dad really love each other. They do not need to go on a date to show it!"

"You are already a young lady, but you still act like a child." Damian helplessly said.

"Dad, I will always be your little princess!"

"Fine, fine. You are still my little princess. Here, take this." Damian said as he pulled himself from Giselle's hug.

Damian reached for a large-sized paper bag and gave it to Giselle. She happily received it and started opening the package in front of them. Damian also gave Rachel a huge paper bag. Rachel thanked her father before she checked what is inside the paper bag.

"Your mom helped me to buy it. I am not confident that you will like the design that I will choose."

Giselle is so happy when she saw what was inside the paper bag. It is a limited-edition handbag that was released in the market last week. Giselle remembered asking her father to buy it yesterday, but she did not expect to receive it this soon.

"I really love it! Oh my gosh! Dad, thank you so much!"

Giselle planted a kiss on her father's cheek and quickly checked the design of her bag.

As for Rachel, she received a complete set of jewelry made by a famous fashion house, The Fairy Factory. Rachel carefully opened the black velvet box and the first thing she noticed is the big blue diamond on the necklace. Even without checking for its price, Rachel already knows that it is very expensive.

"That is my late congratulatory gift for you. Congratulations, Rachel."

"Dad, thank you for this gift. I surely will treasure this!" Rachel said but her gaze did not leave the jewelry on her hands.

"Damian, you should not spoil them too much." Sheryl said as she looked at her husband.

"Sheryl, it is okay. As long as they are happy, everything is good."

Damian looked at his two daughters who were obviously delighted with the gifts they bought. He knows that his two daughters enjoy receiving expensive and fanciful gifts. As a father, he naturally wants his children to have the things they asked. Damian thought that even if he spoiled them with expensive gifts, he still think these are not yet enough to make them happy.

Sheryl looked at her daughters with a satisfied smile on her face. Damian not only loves her children, but he is also an attentive and loving husband. Her gaze unconsciously falls on her ring finger.

A ring with a diamond on it adorned her ring finger. It is the wedding ring Damian gave to her at their wedding. Sheryl can still remember how happy she was on that day. She thought that her hardship and patience in the past were really paid off.

While relaxing in the living room, Damian held the remote control and turned their television on. A perfume commercial is currently playing on the screen.

On the screen, there is a goddess who came out from a huge forest. The goddess looked at her surrounding with a smile on her face. Then she knelt down on the ground and put the seed she got from her pocket. All of a sudden, the seed instantly grew into a huge flower. There is a bottle of small perfume inside the huge flower and the goddess grabbed it. She gently sprayed the bottle and the scent that came from it made her surrounding more colorful. At the end of the commercial, the goddess looked at the screen with a sweet smile on her face.

It was the commercial Francheska shoot the other day. The commercial only lasted for one minute, but she showed a lot of feelings and expressions in just a short time. Her expressions and gestures showed the sweet and mild fragrance of perfume she was endorsing in the video.

'Her smile is more vibrant and beautiful unlike before...'

The lively living room suddenly turned quiet. Rachel and Giselle stopped admiring their gifts for a while and carefully looked at Damian. Sheryl is trying to discover what her husband is thinking right now. She was about to call Damian when he suddenly stands up from his seat.

"I will take a shower first."

Without waiting for their reply, Damian left the living room and go upstairs.
