"Doesn't that mean that your father is the one who erased Brennant from your memories?" Rafaela asked Brendan instead of letting the anim continue.

"His own father erased his brother from his heir's memories first," Brendan explained neutrally. "The King said that he couldn't figure out why, so even though he and the Queen had discovered his existence before I was produced, he left the man out of what he handed down to me as well."

The obvious question was left unanswered, but if anyone still knew why, Brennant himself might be the only one left.
