185 A: Discordant Vibrations

Adrian glared at the experimental core system he had built. 

It verified the documentation he had written for the Emperor of the Dragon Empire. He was fairly certain that he had successfully documented everything needed to create a duplicate of the unit that had been installed in the Beyonder scout ship. Everything seemed to match.

The problem was that he couldn't find a single existing core software set that could really take advantage of the speed the system could achieve without also having useful storage access. Even the supposedly self updating systems installed in station cores found the hardware too limiting. It was essentially the same problem that had led him to discard the first prototype as a failure.
