Chapter 31 : ACP's birthday party

Everyone except ACP/Dr.salunkhe/Kavi has already reached the house. ACP/Dr.salunkhe were still in the meeting with officials, and others were waiting for purvi to bring house keys.

Kavi reached there just in time.

Everyone went inside and brought all the decoration stuff inside, they were divided into 3 teams.

: decoration : Abhijeet, Tarika, Nikhil, Daya, Shreya

: food: Purvi, Freddy, Pankaj, Ishita

: Cake and check on ACP sir : Kavin, Dushaynt

Everyone started working on their given tasks, and the decoration team started decorating the living room area on the first floor. They decided to only decorate the living area and Kavin was so happy to learn that. ACP's and Kavin's room were on the second floor but at least their rooms are locked. As for the family photos, there was no photo, well because ACP didn't want to.

Food team was in the kitchen preparing all ACP's favorite food. And for a few recipes they didn't have time so they ordered it. Kavin and Dushayant arranged the cake and it was on time too. It's nearly 7:30pm and ACP can come at any time. ACP asked everyone to come at 8pm, so ACP sir really didn't know that everyone was already there. Kavin was outside the house and decided to confirm something.

: hello sir, hum aap ke ghr k liye bss nikl he rhe h, aap ki meeting finish ho gyi kya?

: ha, meri meeting finish ho gyi or main Dr. salunkhe k sath bss ghr he ja raha tha. Tum sb 8 bje tk aa jana tb tk main thoda khane ka intzaam kr lunga

Kavin went inside and told everyone that ACP sir and dr. Salunkhe will come in a few minutes.

Their preparations were almost done, so they decided to do final touch and turn off all lights. They all hide in the living room, near sofas, curtains, kitchen wherever they could find a place. Soon they heard the main door opening of the house outside and ACP sir's car being parked. ACP and Dr Salunkhe brought a few snacks for everyone and went inside. As soon as ACP opened the door and turned on the lights , he was surprised to see the decorations, and everyone shouted "surprise" and started coming out of their places.

Everyone brought the cake in the middle of the living room and started singing a birthday song for ACP.

They all hugged ACP and started having food they prepared and snacks that ACP brought.

Purvi also noticed the exchange of ACP and kavin and understood that it was kavin who was behind the design of this house.

Everyone was quite impressed with purvi's question as everyone knows that the ACP position has no holidays and due to his status, he always hides his real feelings.

Kavin was also anticipating his dad's answer and was thankful to Purvi for this question.

: well, agr main ek normal office worker hota toh main apne holidays pr apne bete k sath long trip pr jata, drive krna, sports khelna, or woh sb kuch krna johek father ko apne bete k sath karna chahiye.

Kavin got teared up from ACP's answer but controlled it, as all cid members were there.

Everyone was shocked with Ishita's question, and could not say anything in front of ACP. Dushyant and Ishita still don't know about nakul, and kavin thinks that nakul is an undercover agent.

Kavin and ACP were just silent the whole time, as they could not find any words. Kavin knows that he can't say anything as no one knows that his dad has another son other than nakul. And was a bit hurt with the ongoing conversation.

ACP and Salunkhe left for ACP's room.

Just then ACP and dr. salunkhe came and join them

Kavin went in front of ACP and surprised everyone with his next question

(tears started dropping non-stop) : kya yeh sach hai ki aap ne case k liye nakul ko goli maar di?

ACP and everyone was shocked. ACP was shocked how he found out like this and others were shocked how Kavin knows about nakul.

Kavin felt like his whole world came down after knowing that his only brother who always took care of him, is no more. Kavin could not hold his anger any longer and went outside the house. Or else he might say something that will make their secret out.

Purvi did not know anything about this, so she just read ACP's expression and went out to kavin.

ACP went to his room and others cleaned the room and kitchen and went to their homes without discussing anything further. As they want ACP to tell them about the situation and till then they will wait for him.

When everyone came out they saw that kavin's car was not there anymore and purvi was also not there. Daya called Purvi and purvi messaged him that she and kavin went home first.
