Power Hungry

Yuuta:

Even though it's only been a few days since Rikka left with her friend I still obviously miss her dearly. These past few years have been so crazy. First Rikka gets teleported to another universe and gaining actual powers, now she's some kind of superhero helping a team of ninjas, but I don't think I'd have anything change because Rikka and I have a beautiful daughter. Ruby Rose helped Rikka when she was in need in that other world, Remnant, so I suggested to name our daughter Ruby. I'm happier than I've ever been, and when Rikka gets back we are getting married.

After putting Ruby to bed I make my way to the living room with a fresh cup of tea and some mochi. I turn on the TV and sit back starting to get comfortable when a breaking news banner fills up the screen. The banner reads "70 foot tall creatures are attacking the entire country of Japan". 70 foot creatures? Are those the creatures that Rikka fought when she was in Remnant? The Apartment starts to shake as I hear a loud growl followed by one of those things stomping into the apartment complex.

I grab my phone dialing Rikka hoping she picks up.

"Hello?" Rikka answers.

"Rikka! Grimm everywhere I need your help to take them out!" I only hear static from the other end, "Shit!"

I throw down my phone and run to Ruby's room making sure she's okay. I need to get her out of here, but can I really do that with these things rampaging around. Before I could react one of the Grimm's legs started to smash through the ceiling right above me. In a spur of the moment I held up my hand creating a barrier of darkness. My eyes widened after realizing I still had my powers and without a second thought I sent a blast of dark energy straight through the throat of the Grimm directly above our apparently. After killing the Grimm I held Ruby tightly teleporting out of the area to my mom's apartment.

"Yuuta?" Kuzuha exclaims.

"Please watch over Ruby." I hand her over to my sister. Kuzuha looks at me with a concerned look.

"Don't worry little sis, I won't let anything happen to you."

Kuzuha nods then quickly looks out the window.

"What's wrong?" I walk to the window and see a purple light in the distance. Upon further examination some specific details stand out in the purple light that kinda resemble Rikka. My eyes widen as I realize that is Rikka. What the hell is she doing?

Rikka:

I slam down where the apartment complex is or was. Everything within a 5 mile radius was destroyed, and if my fears are true Yuuta and Ruby are. No I can't think like that. Yuuta had to of gotten her somewhere safe. I walk over to the rubble noticing Ruby's favorite stuffed animal covered in dry wall and soot. After seeing her favorite stuffie laying there something in me snapped. I grabbed the cinnamon and took a bigger bite letting the power surge through my whole body. Flying up into the air I sent a blast of dark energy so big it wiped out every Grimm in the country of Japan. The power started to fade as I slowly lowered myself to the ground.

"Rikka!" Yuuta came up behind me putting his hand on my shoulder, "Thank god your okay!"

"Are you okay?" I said breathless.

"Yeah I'm fine turns out I still have my powers too."

"And Ruby?"

"With Kuzuha."

A tiny smile lit up my face as I was happy my family was okay. Right after Yuuta helped me up I hugged him tight. Once I let go I noticed there was a bunch of dust flying around in the air. That's kind of weird right? In mere moments each Grimm that I had killed was reforged looking even more sinister than before.

"I thought you said once you kill them they stay dead." Yuuta's face had a serious look.

"Under normal circumstances they would." Yuuta and I quickly turned to a voice that I recognized, "but unfortunately for you this isn't any normal circumstance."

A woman with short black hair and on covered arm came from the shadows. She looks kind of familiar.

"Who the hell are you?" I readied myself for a fight.

"She's the one who tried to kill your friend." Momochi and a few other Tsukikage members appeared, "Her name is Cinder."

A few years ago when I was in Remnant, Cinder showed to be a threat to team RWBY, but Ruby killed her at least that's what was thought to of happened. Turns out Cinder is one of Salem's pupils, and she's just as deadly. Cinder had always had a hate for Ruby, but after Cinder was thought to of been killed she probably made it seem that way just so she could get revenge on Ruby. Cinder is definitely powerful, but she lets her pride get the best of her in to many situations she's in.

"I thought you wanted to kill Ruby." I gripped my fists tight.

"That's the funny thing. No matter how much I try to kill that little red brat you will always be there to help her. I guess if I wanna get to her I gotta kill you." She lets off an evil smile.

"Give it your best shot bitch." I got in a battle stance.

"Don't mind if I do." Cinder forged blades of fire and dashed at me. I quickly forged a dark energy blade preparing to parry her attack. It's time to end this once and for all.
