Chapter 10 : Chocolato

"Look, the masked men."

Screams were heard from almost all ladies at the Dining, including Lola, who seemed like she was not interested in anything before.

Cherry jumped up from her seat, completely ignoring Jiang, just so she could see the masked men.

Jiang was so pissed off, he cursed the masked men silently.

Tom on the other hand saw this as an opportunity to help his sister, as long as one of those men show an interest in her, she might be safe. Well it's a might, they may be worse than Jiang.

John was getting jealous of the men because of the attention they had. And out of jealousy, he noticed something.

"Pfft, the diamond masked man is not here and you are all acting crazy, what if he came, would you all pounce on him?"

His voice was loud enough for those close to his table to hear what he just said. A minute later, people were asking themselves where the diamond masked man was.

" Maybe he is among them, just blending in with them. "

" He could even be in our midst, who knows."

"I came here last year and the same thing happened."

"What happened?"

"Well, I heard he was supposed to take off his mask and let us see what he looks like, but he didn't attend, so it was postponed to this year, seems like the same thing is gonna happen."

"Maybe he is not as handsome as the news do say"

"He might have a scar on his face"

"Could it be that he is not a young man in his twenties?"

"Who knows, the news do like to exaggerate at times."

"Everyone seems interested in this young master of the NOVA WORLD, don't you think so Lucian?"

While everyone were paying attention to the masked men, Lucian and Hermia entered withoit gathering too much attention.

Hermia was still finding it hard to believe that he decided to come to the party, he never did attend one before, so why was he interested in coming today.

"I think they are much more interested in what he looks like. I am sure he has lots of lovers, so likewise haters."

It was amusing how he was referring to himself, but wasn't that the best way to answer right now. They were led to their table through the help of a waiter. Getting to their table, someone caught his attention so he qpproached the person.

" We meet again Chocolato."

Cherry was looking at the masked men and even ignored what her father said. Who cares if the diamond masked man did not come, it's not like it's every day day you get to see the golden masked men. There was only one diamond masked man but there were six golden masked men.

Looking at the men, she noticed one of the men had a star made of emerald at the sides of the mask, maybe he was the boss of the golden masked men. Of course he had to be their boss, since the masks of rest did not have emerald but was made from pure gold.

'I wonder how they breathe' she mumbled to herself. She was getting ready to sit when

"We meet again Chocolato."

She turned just to see the young man she had poured her chocolate drink on. What on earth was he doing here? What a stupid question. Shouldn't she be asking why he was calling her Chocolato.

Cherry forced a smile on her face before stretching out her hand.

"Nice to see you Mr..."

"I'm Lucian."

As they shook hands, Cherry felt warm and didn't let go of his hand.

"Are you gonna tell me your name or do you prefer 'Chocolato'?"

Cherry was brought back to reality by that annoying voice of his'.

"I'm Cherry, Cherry Mekaly."

Releasing her hand, Lucian took a look at those at the table, and they were also staring at him,but with different expressions.

Mr Mekaly paid him little to no attention, since the name 'Lucian' did not ring a bell and he also was not sure if his surname would.

Jiang Yi was jealous of the way Cherry had looked at the strange man and how she had refused to let go of the stranger's hand on time

Tom was a little bit happy seeing Jiang get jealous, maybe Jiang really did like Cherry, but he was not dumb, that expression back then was definitely that of lust.

Mrs Mekaly fixed her eyes on him and wouldn't look away, why would she. This was the person she was looking at when they were at the coffee shop. Or to make it clear, it was the lady beside him that had caught her fancy.

Lucian smiled, he sure was liking this, moving freely without being recognised, or more like no one knew the young master of NOVA WORLD.

"Cherry"

"Yes" she blushed so hard she had to look away.

"Are you not going to introduce me to your family?"

Jiang was boiling with anger and had to excuse himself.
