6 Chapter 6 :

Alyssa pov...

I couldn't sleep, I tossed and turned in bed , because Reign was so restless and by the time I went downstairs to make dinner at seven, I had a raging headache.

I sighed I would need to take her out for a run this week. I didn't have the time last week, and I don't remember letting her out the week before.

I set the oven to preheat and began peeling potatoes, soaked them in water, then started on the sauce for the Au Gratin I was making for dinner. As soon as the dish was ready, I put the already sauced steak in the oven. By the time dinner was ready it was a few minutes past eight pm.

I woke my parents up through our mind link and we ate dinner, by nine twenty dad was taking us to the pack house for work, before heading to the boundary to guard the pack.

" Aly ; kitchen, hold serving and cleaning duties, Renee ; cooking crew, James; bar upkeep, hold serving and cleaning duties, Jane hold serving, drinks duty, cleaning duties.. I tuned out and began to observe the others.

No one complained or battered an eyelid over the amount of work we were being assigned to, most of the pack house staff were given the day off, and those who were working during the party to night would be given a huge bonus in the morning.

All Omega servants were working tonight, and the only reason why we will not be overwhelmed, is because of our werewolf abilities. We are not the strongest and it's a bit over the top, but we have no choice.

Meika, Frod's saint of a pregnant mate, a delta helper in the pack house, was working tonight. I watched her as she chatted on her phone, sitting beside her mate as he dished out instructions. Then sighed in resignation, there was no one out there for me.

Omegas were not allowed the luxury of phones in this pack. If you were even caught doing extra work outside park duties, it would be seen as you , not doing enough for the pack and will be punished for it.

An hour later, guests began to arrive, there were lots of them, thank the goddess our pack is really huge and so is our pack lands.

The alpha ceremony is strictly for pack members only. Frod called James, Ben and I to come help pack members returning from the Alphas run, with clothes.

I stood in a straight line of about ten to eleven omega servants, each with a pile of clothes in our hands. I could hear the sounds of their paws as they neared us. The alphas run happens only when a new alpha has been crowned.

Suddenly, Reign became vicious in her need to let loose, to take control. I fisted my hands and gritted my teeth as I fought her for control, she howled in misery when she realized I wasn't going to give in to her.

" what is it Reign?, You need to talk to me, I can't help if I don't know what the problem is and we can't shift now because we are working. You know that." I said arguing with her as she continued to fight me for control.

"Let me out, mate is near... whatever she was saying was drowned out by an intoxicating scent.

My nostrils flared as I took in the sweet scent of musk and fresh wood, my mouth watered and I was suddenly loosing my grip on reign, sweat beaded on my forehead, as my canines gradually began to make an appearance.

Then the alpha and his family closely followed by the other titled wolves, reached the clearing in the woods, where we were waiting, but headed straight for the line of delta helpers .

" Mate ! Mateee! Mate!!"Reign screamed in my head as she clamored to be let out. Devon's large grey wolf turned its large head towards me and reign howled. My heart began to pound heavily in my chest.

Then his father's wolf came and nudged him towards the others, he turned and walked away. Pain erupted in my chest, but I bit down hard on my trembling lips to stop a whimper from escaping, as I realized that I had been doomed from birth.

Soon the insanely large clearing was filled with my pack members in wolf form.

I stood there and gave out clothes to the pack members. "Everyone, please stay behind." Devons voice boomed over the packs mindlink. When everyone was dressed they waited to hear their new alphas announcement.

"Where the fuck, is that stinking maggot skunk?" Devon bellowed and I quickly made my way to the front of the crowd. I stopped a few feet away from him head bent and went down on my knees.

"yes master." I said.

"Look at me!!" he ordered anger lacing his cold commanding tone, causing me to flinch, reign whimpered. This is really, really bad. I thought to myself as I looked up into cold black eyes. F***cckk !!! his wolf was at the surface, I shivered at the intense hatred in his eyes and cursed inwardly when reign confirmed my biggest fear again.

"Mate!!"

It would be stupid to ask her if she was sure.

"So you are mated to me?! He asked in a disgusted angry tone. I bent my head lower and said.

"yes alpha." Big f**king mistake.

He growled loudly at me. I whined and showed him my neck in submission out of fear, not because I felt compelled to.

"yes m-master", I corrected myself.

"So you think because, the moon goddess mistakenly mated you to my son, you can call him alpha?" Luna Estelle, Devon's mother asked angrily as laughter rang through the pack link. Most of them were having fun at my expense.

"He Is Not Your Fu****ing Alpha." She screamed at me. I could feel the Approval and backing of the pack , they were fully in support of Luna Estelle's words.

The woman had never really liked the sight of me.

Reign was in absolute anguish and turmoil, her heartbreak and sadness, gradually flooding into my heart, piercing through to my soul. Everytime he treated me like I was less than pack thrash, every time he spat in my face, made me lick his feet.. the memories flashed quickly through my mind.

Finally, the dam broke and I sobbed, not just because I had not let him see me cry since the first time when I was nine, but mostly because I knew I most likely won't survive a rejection from an alpha. I needed to beg him not to reject me at least so I can live my life in servitude. I knew that I had no choice but to beg for mercy.

I was between a raging fire and a death cliff with a storm for good measure. So I did the only I could I cried and begged and begged and begged some more.

"Please master, please, please, spare my life, please don't reject me." I begged

"You are of no use to this pack or its members, I don't have any need for you. So you see, your life is useless ,even to you." The alpha, the devils incarnate himself told me coldly.

But that didn't stop me from begging.

"Pleeeaasseee, pleeeeaaasssee, I-I s-swear I'll do anything you want, I'll do anything just don't reject me. Pleaasee I beg you."

"Hmmmmnn.. okay, I have thought of it and have made my decision. I won't reject you, but you said you'll do anything right.? " He asked. "Yes, master please."

"Enough!!" he growled lowly.

Then bent down to touch my cheeks slightly with the tip of his fingers, sparks erupted from my cheek where he touched me, making goose bumps appear on my forearms.

I thought I saw a dangerous looking glint in his eyes, but it was gone before I could make anything of it.

"I won't reject you , because You will be the one to reject me."

"What!?!!, I whispered lowly. "No, no,no,no please no, Oh goddess no , please." I begged fresh tears formed in my eyes but they refused to fall.

"Shut up and Listen, If you don't reject me, stinking maggot, you and your family will be thrown out of the pack , and be marked as rogues. Now choose, you have sixty secs." He said, smirking evilly at me.

" No please I can't, somebody help me pleaseee." No one said anything some even scoffed at me.

He was still standing close by so I tried to grab the leg of his pants. But he kicked me so hard I heard a crack in my rib.

" Master, Please I beg you, don't do this. please."

"Go Bring her parents here now.!!" He ordered. I didn't see who he'd ordered as I dare not lift my head up.

" No no no ,there is no need, please, I'll do as you say, I'll do as you have ordered." I cried harder than ever before as pain shot through from my ribcage, adding to the turmoil in my soul.

"Then do it before your parents get here because your sixty seconds is up and if by the time they get here you haven't rejected me there will be no going back." He stated his face, so cold and detached.

I swallowed hard, took a deep shaky breath and said the words that would definitely kill me. " I Alyssa Milan of the dark claw park reject you alpha Devon Reese, alpha of the dark claw pack as my Mate."

"Very well, I alpha Devon Reese of the dark claw pack Accept your rejection."

The next thing he said was..

" Dark claw park, Let's go party !!!!"

I was kicked, spat on and trampled upon as the pack rushed out of the woods to party and celebrate with their new alpha.

I waited for the pain, but nothing happened. Aly , Aly, Aly!! I could hear my mother's panicked calls for me.

When she reached me, she knelt down beside me, with tears in her eyes.

" Alyssa, are you alright?." I could hear the worry in her voice.

" I don't want to talk about it mum." I gritted out through the pain.

"But you have been crying" She pointed.

" please take me home. " I managed to say before darkness took over.
