Seb's pov ...

I slept for all of two hours, before Alex informed me breakfast was ready.

I didn't really need breakfast, we just needed to keep up appearances.

" I can't miss breakfast Seb,I'm hungry." Kraw growled at the idea of not participating in the morning ritual.

" Your always hungry." I hissed out at him.

"So you say, like we are two different people, can you hurry up and get down so we can have said breakfast.?" He pushed, but I ignored him and finished my morning ritual.

It was absolutely important to maintain a certain standard outside of my pack. So this morning I took my time to get ready.

I wore a pair of slightly ripped straight cut black jeans, with a light green Ralph Lauren polo, and a black bomber jacket.

I styled my hair carefully, because I have a reputation to uphold.

My sneakers were an all black B twenty seven Dior.

I checked myself out in the mirror, Kraw and scoffed at our dashing look.

Not that we are complaining, but what exactly is good in looking all dashing, dapper, sexy and handsome, without a mate to compliment you.

I swear, if the moon goddess hadn't told me herself, I wasn't being punished for the death of my first mate. Nothing would have swayed me from thinking that's the reason I am still mateless.

I know I am a catch for any she wolf and I'm always being targeted for mating, but it's part of the burden and responsibility of being who I am.

I met Alex, in the silver lay.

Apparently, that's what the pack calls this beautiful silver themed hallway.

"Morning Alpha." Alex greeted me as I reached him.

"Morning." I said as we began to walk side by side, down the hall way to towards the stairs.

"After breakfast, the entourage be will be taken on a tour of the proposed accomodations for the council meeting.

The alpha's sister Darcy would lead the tour."

"Lunch with the Alpha's parents, the previous alpha and Luna of the pack. Then a tour of the accomodations proposed for the event, led by the alpha and Luna.

Then dinner before a small gathering of the pack to celebrate your presence here.

That's your itinerary for the day Seb." Alex finished as we stopped in front of a huge, beautifully sculpted set of double wooden doors with huge golden knobs.

"The moon alpha had arrived."

Someone announced on the other side of the door some seconds before the door swung open to reveal an opulent dining room.

This one was definitely for royalty.

I walked in, there was a huge dining table in the middle of the room.

It was obviously a dining room, specifically meant for the alpha's family, evidenced by the number of family pictures on the wall.

A chair had been pulled out for me at the head of the table.

This part of the table was wide enough to take both the alpha and his Luna, Alex and I.

"Good morning moon Alpha."

" Morning moon Alpha."

Everyone got to their feet and greeted as we took our seats, I indicated everyone take theirs.

" How was your night, Moon Alpha Seb?" Alpha Devon asked.

"Nice." I replied curtly.

" Was the room to your liking?, we can make changes if you're not satisfied." Luna Nessa told me.

"It's perfect, thank you Nessa." I said.

Let's eat." I said as I piled my plate with some crepes, Aebleskiver, some frittata, and a huge section of ribeye.

I took fruit juice fresh strawberry and orange.

It was a really nice meal, and I complimented the Luna.

"You have outdone yourself Luna Nessa, breakfast was really delicious." I said.

Making her beam with pride.

The alpha's entire family was at the breakfast table .

His sister Darcy, personally introduced herself to me.

She seemed friendly, but from the moment I saw her, I knew.

I knew they were going to try foisting her on me.

It would have been odd if they didn't.

I was more than just the most attractive billionaire unmated wolf.

I am the moon alpha, powerful doesn't begin to describe me.

Darcy was dressed in a nice white dress that stopped just above her knees.

It wasn't that she couldn't wear something shorter to show clear intent.

It was just the family saw themselves as above the level of blatant brazen seduction.

The conversation centred around the inspection team.

Devon seemed friendly enough, enquiring about the mates and families of the other alpha's in the entourage.

Some pictures were taken and I know they would be the talk of our world for the next few days days until something else pushes it of it's perch.

" Moon alpha, if you don't mind , what made you decide to accompany the inspection team?" The former Luna asked.

" I stared at her, my eyes smiling at her.

" I needed a change of scenery, is all." I told them.

"I promise to show you all you need to see, moon alpha.

I'll be your personal guide on this inspection, so you won't miss a thing."

Darcy said suggestively.

Her innuendos could be heard from the pack's borders. I read in between the lines and saw her double meaning, but said nothing.

Throughout breakfast darcy batted her ridiculously long lashes at me.

Giggles at everything I said.

If Kraw was human he would have been red faced, not from embarassment, but from the insane number of times he'd face palmed during breakfast.

Whatever happened to waiting for your mate? I wondered.

Once breakfast ended she instantly glued her self to me, wrapping her hand around my arms.

I gritted my teeth loudly, Im sure she heard it, because she stiffened, but didn't let go.

I didn't like being touched by another woman, that isn't my mate.

But they have been gracious hosts, so far and what harm would she do by holding on to my arm?"

I asked, trying to cajole Kraw, and him from over reacting.

But this isn't my first rodeo, and it might not be my last.

As the minutes ticked past, Darcy would become bolder and braver, she would start small, and try kissing the back of my hand ,then rest her head on my arm, maybe kiss my shoulder, before making an attempt to kiss me on tip toes.

Women make moves on me daily.

It's nothing new.

There are different types of women, Darcy is the bold wild type that likes to pretend to be coy, when they have no coy bone in their body.

They are more like a wolf in sheep's clothing.

I let her drag me behind the others led by alpha Devon and his beta.

Alex stole some glances at us, but other than that we were left alone.

Come on moon alpha, let me show you to your, quarters.

I said nothing.

I just nodded and let her lead the way.

When we got there, the room was spacious and fitting for a king, but it was expectedly unfinished.

As expected Darcy Pushed me against the wall and jumped me, just before we left the unfinished suite.

She wrapped her legs around my waist and kissed me hard.

I turned and pressed her against the wall and hid my disappointment, by burying my nose in her hair.

Darcy is truly pretty, but not for me.

Something about her just turns me off, and the fact that she was obviously will to give me a roll in the hay should have excited me, because I hadn't had any in a while.

But to my utmost dismay, I was as flaccid as they come, no reaction whatsoever.

I sighed, and put her away from me.

There was no use pretending.

I wasn't attracted to her sexually or otherwise.

Although, I felt this wasn't about her and more about my mateless state.

Because my ruthless morning boners let me know, how active I can be with the right woman.

But Darcy just isn't cutting it for me at all.

She gripped the front of my polo and rubbed her breasts against my pecks.

" My goddess, your abs are making me w*t." She said.

I smirked at her silly attempts to lure me in.

I took her hand instead and gently ushered her out of the suite.

"Are you holding out or waiting for your mate?"

she asked me.

"No." I said and sighed, "I don't know." I added.

It's taken way too long to find her, I'm not so sure she is out there, but I won't be choosing a mate in her absence."

I clarified.

"well I'm sure you'll either find her or meet someone who'll change your mind about choosing a mate. She said.

"Maybe." I concurred with her comments.

"what about you ? " I asked

" No mate yet." I practically just turned eighteen. it was disappointing to wake up the day after you turned eighteen, to find no one waiting for you." she said.

"Don't worry you'll find him soon.

I said trying to be positive about it all.
