She doesn't have a smell

Miller's heart sank as he heard Catherine's words. He didn't want to believe that Emily was dead, but he knew that Catherine's abilities were not to be taken lightly. If she couldn't find Emily's soul, then something must have gone horribly wrong. He tried to remain calm, even as his thoughts raced with worry.

"I don't believe that," he said, his voice steady despite the turmoil within. "I know Emily is still alive. There must be some other explanation for why you couldn't find her soul. Maybe it's just a matter of range, or something else. We'll figure it out."

Catherine saw how sad Miller was. This was when she knew that he really cared for Miller.

"I really care for Emily, too. But you seem to care for her more than I do." Catherine said. "There's one person that knows Magic more than i do."

"Who's that. We are surely going to need that person's help." Miller said almost instantly.

"I can't tell you the person; it's a secret." She said with a wink. "But i would surely tell her about Emily."

"Her, so she is female then," Miller said.

"I think i have said too much." Emily said. "I will give you info tomorrow morning."

And with that they both departed to their seperate hostels.

It was around 9:30PM in the school garden. It was thirty minutes to the curfew and two People were there. It was Noah and Alex.

Noah had accepted Alex's message and he had arrived at the School Garden.

"So what have you known about her yet." Noah said.

"The Majesty said to just keep watch, not interfere with her business." Alex replied.

Noah chuckled.

"How can you protect her from the other Vampires. If you are not even close to her." Noah said. "Does she even known your name."

"She does know my name." Alex said. "but i am not sure she knows i am a Vampire."

"It seems like you should do some reading." Noah said. "Of course, she would know you are a Vampire. She has super smelling like us. Even if she hasn't been to the Vampire Settlement before. She would be able to tell that you are different from the others through scent."

"Scent." Alex repeated that words that is when something ringed in his head. It was the reason why the other Vampires didn't bother meeting her in the first place.

"All the times i have been with her. This is the first time something has clicked in. The real reason why the other Vampires haven't noticed." Alex said.

"What's that?" Noah asked.

"She doesn't have the scent... She has the scent or a normal human." Alex said those words confused. He had never heard or any Dhampir or Vampire or any Supernatural creature that would have the scent of humans.

'Was it because she had lived with humans for so long.' Alex thought.

"Kiddo, I bet you can't differentiate between a human scent and that of a Dhampir. What's wrong with you? She is a Dhampir." Noah said a little frustrated.

Even if Noah didn't believe him. There was a possibility that this might be true. He could remember the king clearly telling them that his daughter's mom was a Magician. Maybe she had used Magic to cover up her daughter's scent. If that was possible because Noah had no idea of how Magic worked.

"I am not lying. I am telling you the truth." Alex said.

Noah scratched his long beards a little. "Okay. I think we don't have much to discuss. But that Catherine girl, we are both going to keep an eye on her. Is that understood."

Alex nodded in agreement.

There was one more thing Alex wanted to ask. "How about my Family. Are they okay."

Noah almost chuckled, but he managed to restrain himself. "Your Family is not at my hands. It is at the hands of the King. Do not forget you owe the King all your allegiance. You were a prisoner and he was able to save you."

"Fulfill your end of the bargain, and he will save your family." Noah concluded.

Alex heart sank in sadness. Of course, he was a prisoner back in the Vampire Settlement. It was one of the reason why he didn't want to go to the Vampire Settlement. But his family, if he doesn't go they would all be at risk.

"Fine." Alex said. "The Vampires are having a meeting soon. Are you going to come."

"I am one of your kind why wouldn't i." Noah replied.

And with that the two headed to the bushes to meet the other Vampires. Arthur himself had called the meeting. The meeting was related to the unknown person who had attacked him and his roommates yesterday night. The meeting was about the person who claimed to be the Vampires Greatest Enemy.
