I Would Hold Back The Truth

"Ha Ha Ha." The two of them laughed at what Miller had just said.

Watson couldn't hold his laugh as he fell on the floor and laughed. Alex used the wall to support his back as he kept on laughing.

Truly, what Miller said sounded funny. How the hell could a Vampire like Alex become his minion. With their interactions with Alex. They have learnt from Alex that Vampires can never be a loyal follower of another race. It was forbidden.

Even looking at them. It looked like they were on pair, In terms of strength, the idea of Alex being his minion seemed impossible. Normally for you to be a loyal follower of somebody, the person has to be stronger than you or maybe even smarter. And Miller wasn't.

To them, it was like Miller was just trying to make them laugh. Miller didn't even want to tell them the truth about his SERVITOR NEXUS and his Summoning Pact. He felt like keeping it to himself.

'I Would Hold Back The Truth' Miller thought as he joined them in laughter playing along.

He knew if Alex found out the truth. He wouldn't be a little bit happy. Besides it was by accident, he became one of Miller's minion.

"You are really funny," Alex commented.

Moments later, Miller was now lying on his bed and was about to sleep.

"Miller I have an important information to inform you." The System said. "But before that let me tell you about the new idea I thought of."

"You know that whenever you perform a quest and i deem fit. I grant you a skill or sub-skill or an ability."

"But now, I have Created something i refer to as the shop." The System said. "Would you like to open it."

"Okay." Miller said.

"You would have to open your eyes, then," The System said.

Miller opened his eyes. It was around 4pm in the evening. All of a sudden, a green screen appeared in front of him. Instead of the words popping at his retina as they usually do. This time it was like a visual screen connected to his eyes and his eyes alone.

"Don't worry, you are the only one who can see it." The System said. "This is the shop."

Looking at the green screen in front of him. At the top center of the green screen, Miller could see the words SHOP written in cap. Below the word shop, He saw the name of his two abilities.

[Energy Manipulation]

"Miller. This is the shop and these are the only ones allowed in here for now." The System said. "Instead of me granting you the skills. I would want you to purchase them."

"Look at your top right. You would see a bar." The System said.

Miller looked at the top right of the screen and he could see the number zero (0) boldly written.

"What does that Zero have to do with anything?" Miller asked.

"For you to purchase any skill in the shop you would have to earn coins." The System said "Just like how you need money to purchase anything. You would need coins to purchase them."

"cool." Miller said. "How am i going to have those coins?" He asked.

"You would be rewarded with coins based on the quests performance." The System said. "If you perform poorly in a quest, your gained coins would be low, if you perform average, it would be average and if excellent it would be excellent. You can also use your experience points to buy more coins."

To be honest, Miller liked this idea. with this he would be able to choose the skills he wanted to acquire.

"Can i see the skills." Miller said.

"Which one?" The System asked.

"Shadow." Miller said.

In front of the green holographic screen. A new window/tab opened and at the right top of the screen. The words Shadow Skills could be seen in Cap.

Using his eyes to scroll through the list of skills. They were so many up to fifty or maybe possibly more than. This was when Miller noticed something, some of the skills were more costly than the others. Some where around fifty coins otherwise a thousand and one of them was around One Hundred Million coins.

Seeing the one of one hundred Million coins. Miller knew that this one has to be the strongest shadow skill. It's name is Shadow Demon.

Merely from the name, Miller knew it was going to be powerful.

"I would like that." Miller uttered out.

"Miller. I know a strong power is tempted, but you still haven't even gotten some of the basics yet." The System said concerned. The system knew with Miller's current shadow state, he wouldn't stand a chance against some opponents.

"So what do you think." Miller said. "Which one should i buy first."

"If you want to buy anyone of them first." The System said. "I suggest you buy The Shadow Devourer..."
