In the veiled embrace of an everlasting darkness, a fateful encounter unravels, where destinies converge in a celestial choreography of cosmic design. James shoulders the responsibility of mentoring Miller, traversing a treacherous path to prepare him for the impending collision. Construct Forge

"Hi, Miller. It's a pleasure meeting you." The strange looking Alien said.

[Construct Forge Successfully Activated]

Those words didn't pop at his retina like they used to do. It reverberated through the entire room and could be seen at the top of this alien's head. It was like he was in some kind of real life video game.

The alien was around Six feet, two Inches tall. Green in colour. His entire body was green. The alien didn't look muscular or bulk, just had an average athletic build. His eyes were entirely white in colour. He had humanoid appearance. The alien's head looked a little bigger than an average human head. His head was longer and it looked like a double head could be seen behind him. But, in reality, it was just the shape of his head. The alien wore a black clothing that covered his neck to his wrist and to his foot.

"How did you know my name. Are you the System?" Miller asked. Looking at this alien in front of him just reminded Miller that the System stuck in his head was alien to human race; besides he got attached to it in the planet of Citarada.

"I am just an image created from the System." The alien replied.

"You feel so real." Miller said as he touched the alien's chest.

"Miller, even if all this happens in your mind." The alien said. "You would still feel pain."

"Why would I feel pain." Miller asked.

"After your training, you would be given trials to face." The alien said. "Although, you wouldn't die. You would feel pain when you are hit."

"Okay, I am ready for the trial." Miller said. "But are you not supposed to teach me first."

"I mean about the new skill I obtained." Miller concluded.

"Yes. That's what i am here for." The alien replied.

"System." Miller said. "Can i call you that."

"No, i am an image created by the System itself. I have my own consciousness." The alien said. "Call me Xentor."

"Okay, Xentor." Miller replied.

Xentor smiled and gave him a wink.

"Now we would first of all start with the Shadow or do you prefer to start with the Energy Manipulation Ability instead?" Xentor asked Miller.

Miller thought about it for a second, he wanted to learn both of them. But one has to come first.

"Shadow." Miller replied. The reason Miller picked the shadow was because the Shadow was the first ability displayed at his retina before the Energy Manipulation ability and he was also intrigued by what the Shadow could do. What is it like?

"Shadow, it is." Xentor replied.

In an instant the entire room started to crumble. The white walls that surrounded them in a cube shape vanished and as they vanished. Miller and Xentor were in what one would refer to as a Desert. It was hot and the sands could be seen everywhere.

Miller could feel the scorching sun. He used the palm of his hand to block the sun a bit.

'For something just in my mind. You feel so real.' Miller thought.

"Even if it is in your mind. I told you it would be real." Xentor replied.

Miller opened his eyes in shock. How the hell did Xentor know about what he just taught of in his mind.

"I know what you are thinking," Xentor said trying to clarify Miller's curiousity. "All this happens in your mind. When you think it goes through your mind."

It was as expected all these were in his mind after all. So it wouldn't be a surprise that Xentor who is an image created by the System in his mind would hear his thought.

"Why did you bring me here." Miller said confused. "Can you maybe reduce the sun a bit."

Miller knew that all this was in his mind and it seems like Xentor had more control over this place that he has.

"It's important." Xentor said. "When the sun hits your body. Your shadow appears more clearly and becomes more stronger."

"The reason why i made this setting is because i want you to first of all learn how to use your Shadow to the full extent."

"The more the sun light hits you. The more your shadow becomes Stronger and thus increasing your shadow powers." Xentor concluded. "This doesn't mean you wouldn't be able to use your Shadow ability at night. It would only be made weaker."

"Is there any way i can increase my shadow without the help of the sun." Miller said. "What if i go to a planet, where their is no sun."

"Miller. There is a way." Xentor said. "But you haven't unlocked that skill yet."

The next words came from the System itself and they were heard everywhere at the same time:

"Miller, just like your Skills. This is an Ability and your have skills under them. Your Shadow Ability has many skills and you would unlock them gradually."

After that, words pooped at Xentor's head:

[Hint: To Unlock Skill, one has to use that Ability frequently]

"So can we start." Xentor said to Miller smiling.

"Yes. We can." Miller replied back.

"The only skill that you have been able to unlock is what the System refers to as Temporal Stagnation." Xentor said. "Now let's get into the training."
