Grace sunk into deep thoughts.

‘Is her mother right? Should she really give Zayden a chance to prove himself? Should she try to make this work? But how can she be so ignorant of me? He is a criminal and a wolf as well. That's a different thing that no one knows about that fact except me.'

'Mom, don't you love me? Aren't you worried about the thought of leaving me alone with Zayden?" Grace asked innocently.

Her mother's eyes moistened in pain. 'How can you say that, Grace? You are my daughter and the apple of my eye. I couldn't sleep last night, thinking. What if Zayden Staunton doesn't keep his promise about not forcing himself on you. I knew I did all this but, other than him, no one can save you from getting married to that monster.", Her mother wailed.

'Mom!" Grace gasped when she saw her mother crying.
