Choosing second to come first

It begins a bit rough but improves as it progresses just due to it being my first work, the world as everyone knew it changed, John though refused to bend or bow, well others seemed to be corrupted and changed by there choices John kept his sanity, or rather had no sanity to hold onto as the voices in his head that others beside his best friend dismissed as imaginary become more prominent, as he sets out to make his mark he learns the nature of the changes to the world, finding out more and striving to get stronger and to kill the so called gods who where responsible for it, but everything comes at a cost. So just a small heads up, it starts a little rough but I can promise it Improves as the chapters go on, a bit slow but it's my first real novel so hope you all enjoy it :-) Ps. This story is writing itself, so all the twists and turns are by its own choice as I'm just the one putting it on digital paper as odd as that sounds, share a stone if you like it and I'll also try to keep as consistent as I can with updates.

Chapter 60

Chapter 60

"Alice tell me about her, for you to react like that must mean she's something else entirely, I'm sure we can use her somehow and that she would be a aid to us." He tells her, growing even more curious about the last one.

"Fine, I wont mention how Braedon said similar things about Rebecca and that ended with you getting shot, so promise me you will go to her right after I tell you about her and take full responsibility for her." She tells him, stamping her foot and being far more serious than he had ever seen her before only receiving a nod from him in response.

With a deep breath Alice stared at him. "Her class is similar to my own but far more broken. You know how my class is cosplayer and I become twisted forms of whatever I choose?" She begins, trying to drag things out.

"Indeed, not that I've seen you try any other type of outfits." Lesh says eyeing her.

"Yeah well I like being this way, I don't want to lose myself by changing to something else even if I could be stronger, not unless I have absolutely no choice." She tells him turning away, her fists tightly clenched.

"That girl's class is far more broken." Alice says with a shiver. "She was born with issues, bullied by everyone and isolated, lost her parents at a young age and just never fit in, then everything changed and she got the class 'Phantasmal Dreamer' or so she says, and I mean its so broken she even showed me the special collar she created with her ability to keep it under control and restrained and even that is barely enough as she can still create weapons and some other things apparently!" She almost screams in frustration.

"She can materialize and bring forth anything she's seen before in fictional media, be it a regular book or an anime or a manga, she told me how she would lock herself away in her mind at times or get lost in cartoons and anime any chance she got all well giving me a creepy smile. I tried to relate and connect with her, but I couldn't understand half of what she spoke of, which caused her to close off from me and seemingly just withdraw into herself again. I'm telling you now she's really dangerous and beyond control and no doubt far more deadly and deranged than I could ever be! if we leave her be I'm worried she's going to end up hurting someone!" Alice says with a hard tone trying to convince him but a tiny inflection of fear lacing it.

"Wow, why don't you tell him how you really feel about me." A deep female voice says from the doorway, drawing there attention and a frightened eep from Alice as she practically jumps away and hides behind Lesh, her fingers in the form of a cross.

"I'm not a vampire or a devil or anything unholy for that matter, even if I wish I was at times. Having the power of destruction or wings or even a rosary I could break off to let loose a badass version of myself wound no doubt be fun to try." She says in a monotone rolling her eyes at Alice before tilting her head to the side, no doubt imagining what she had just described.

"How did you get in here! Why are you here? And you see? She talks about things that make no sense!" Alice says peaking out from behind Lesh to stare at the girl.

"Just because you don't understand what I'm saying or referring to doesn't mean it makes no sense, what makes no sense is How ash remained young forever, or never using his old Pokémon. I can understand wanting a fresh team each now place he goes but in the big leagues he should have at least tried trusting his old friends. Or how a death note was never noticed or even registered in peoples minds before Light came along. Oh or why they like to create a person or creature super strong and then use a stupid way to end them when they realize there to strong instead of doing something decent, like with Madara, or King, since they where to strong so had to be taken out, but done in the most ridiculous ways." The girl says, visible frustration in her monotone voice as she got a seat for herself and looked at Lesh, narrowing her eyes at him that seemed to glow a deep purple for a faint second.

"My god, you and John would be the best companions ever, he was just as much of an Otaku as you. Even knowing some of the really really obscure ones." Lesh shakes his head, before giving her a look over. She seemed young, Early 20's but difficult to properly say, short bob cut black hair, tired drooping eyes, pale white skin with what seemed like a tank top and black pants peeking out from the mix matched pieces of thin armour covering her form.

"Who's that? And really? What would he find 'obscure' I will have you know I've watched and read so many anime, cartoons so I will be the judge of that." She tells him with a small grin.

"Hmm, well John is the owner of this body, I am one of the many beings who are in his mind, not part of his personality though. If I were to give an example maybe 'Eden of the East'? No no, hmm 'Law of Ueki'? Oh I know! 'This ultimate next-Gen Full dive RPG is shitter than real life!' Hahaha I remember he rather enjoyed it along with 'Drifters'." Lesh says getting a confused look from Alice as if he was speaking an entirely different language but wide eyes and a smile from the girl.

"Well I stand corrected, those are obscure ones. I can also see he has some taste, a man of culture?" She asks amused, a smile growing wider on her face as she leans forward.

"Oh most definitely, but no Bonk stick doggo's around though to keep a level of control." Lesh commented back amused earning a laugh.

"Oh god, you've made him as nuts as you are!" Alice shouted dramatically falling to her knees pounding the ground. "Why you sick fuck gods! Why do this as well!" She screams up to the sky as dramatically as she could.
