Chapter 50. The darkness of Humans

Chapter 50: the darkness of Humans.

"Heh, looking at you it seems like you're quite a looker, I suppose I can take you along with my girls and add you to my group after taking all we can from this creep. I would definitely enjoy breaking you in" Vick says, looking at Alice with a creepy look as he licked his lips, sickening lust in his eyes sending shivers of disgust down her spine.

"Well now, aren't you real scum. No, that would be an insult to scum, you are far lower than scum, even most demons, devils and fiends would never fall to a level such." Lesh says, slowly standing and spitting the ground infront of him in disgust at this person infront of him,

giving him a once over Vick looks like a pretty boy, one of the guy's women would often fall for and throw themselves at, neatly cut hair, cleanshaven and even wearing smart looking cloths, something far out of place is in this changed world.

Butcher and Carnage grunt in agreement with Lesh's words but still focused on the now much smaller puddles of blood, there personal weapons almost finished forming and requiring their focus.

The gun now focused back on Lesh. "Now now, don't do anything stupid, I don't want to waste my bullets, but my Rebecca does know where your place is so having you guide me is just a way of being nice." Vick says, having the girls stand infront of him as a safety measure against anything Lesh may do.

"Is it your ability that allows you to control them or did you just cause so much damn harm that there brainwashed and conditioned? Well, I suppose it doesn't really matter." Lesh says, clicking his neck and shaking his hand out infront of him to loosen it up.

Alice watching this took a step back, there was a almost palpable change in the air, even the big demonic like beasts having just finished recreating there weapons looked over before taking Alice by surprise and flanking her sides, standing protectively half infront of her from each side right before a loud bang was heard.

A hole in the ground infront of Lesh with the gun now firmly aimed at him in shaky hands. "Don't move! Don't come over here! I'm waring you the next shot won't be meant as a warning!" Vick tried to threaten only to be met with cold eyes practically burning into his soul.

Having felt the change but doing his best to try and ignore it Rebecca seemed to be struggling with what to do before going over to Vick, her sword pointed at Lesh much to Vicks joy.

So, this is your choice tin can? Even under influence I must say you have chosen… Poorly." Lesh says, the word poorly practically ground out as his voice went lower, his hand now bent with his palm down.

"I may have pushed myself earlier when facing that mad woman, using almost all my energy in the process, but for a fucken cowered such as yourself I can assure you that I still have enough left." Lesh said, his hand faintly glowing as marks seemed to flow out onto the ground, slow at first before increasing in speed like water rushing from an open tap and suddenly stopping.

Another loud bang was heard and Lesh grabbed his dead left arm. "I warned you! But you didn't listen, now I don't know what that little show you tried pulling was but don't even fucken think of trying that again!" Vick yelled, his voice filled with unease and slight fear. But mostly determination in his chosen course of action, feeling superior at being the one with a gun and his opponent having nothing. Alice tried to rush forward, weather to attack Vick or help Lesh is uncertain, but she was held back by the twin beasts, each gripping her by her shoulders, when she looked at them, they only shook their heads at her and Butcher pointed towards Vick and making a thumbs down motion, not saying a word.

"I am no saint, nor do I claim to be, my hands are stained to the point of being black, my soul even more so, I have slaughtered and experimented on and with the old and young, but never have I toyed with people or done sickening things like what you seem to have done, at most I would give quick ends to those I used, or I would experiment on those who deserved fates worse than death, but never have I twisted the minds of others or corrupted them like you have seem to done to these girls, truly humans are horrid creatures." Lesh says, his horse tone frosty as he turned to look up at the sky.

"I shall make sure you suffer properly for this, using you as the first of my experiments in this world." Lesh says, moving his hand from the wound and splashing blood towards Vick but having it land infront of him

"Talk talk talk, that's all you've bloody done this entire time! Its enough now! Either take us to your place or I will kill you and then have Rebecca take me! Oh wait, better idea, I will cripple you, take the blonde infront of you and show you how I make them obedient and loyal to me with a front row seat as I break her and work my magic." He says viciously only to scream a moment later, a nasty looking red thorny vine having begun to wrap around his foot shredding the flesh as it slowly made its way up his leg, scratching open his skin as it went.

"Aaahh, what the hell is this!" He yelled turning and shooting the ground only for two new vines to spring up, a sold black one wrapping around the arm with the gun and white one bursting continuedly into smaller vines as it wrapped around his neck. In the next moment the arm the black vine wrapped seemed to turn purple and black before the skin burst, with agonizing screams he was forced to watch as his arm necrotized and began to rot and age rapidly infront of him before there was nothing but bones but after a brief moment, they to turned to dust in the black vines Grasp.

The moment was short lived though as he fell to the ground passing out from the pain, the white vine had now become an intricate mark around his neck as it severed any all connections from his brain to his body leaving him paralyzed from the neck down but still allowing the sensations of his body be felt.

Finally, the first red vine, having worked up towards his waste seemed to press itself under his skin, still squirming before stopping along with the bleeding but faintly visible under his skin.

Rebecca and the other girls tried to rush at Lesh but Carnage made short work of them, bare handed he grabbed Rebeccas blade and snapped it like a twig, his other meaty fist hitting her in the stomach with a loud meaty thud crumpling her armour, the other two where easier to subdue, Butcher having grabbed them by there throats and chocking them out with little resistance, there clawing at his arms not even breaking his leather like skin.

"What in the absolute fuck just happened!" Alice screamed, trying to make sense of how things went from zero to one hundred only to end so anti climatically, before rushing over to Lesh to check on his gunshot wound.

"Its fine, the cloak and armour mostly absorbed the impact, it broke skin and did bruise the bone but it will heal in time, thankfully it's the dead arm and not the good one." He says trying to make a joke only to get punched by Alice.

"You idiot! What if something happened! What if it hit you in the head or heart! Then what! You and John would both be dead!" She screamed clutching onto him, tears in her eyes.

Lesh merely looked at her before turning his gaze back to the sky, dark clouds now hiding the stars and only the faintest outline of the moon could be seen behind there thick blackness.

"Humans, no matter the realm or world, you always prove to be less than scum, lower than low and for what? Self interest and greed, how truly pitiful." He says, a sadness in his horse tone but still reaching up to lightly pat Alice on the head, her faint voice now begging and pleading to not be left alone, to not be left in madness.

His soft touch seemingly helping comfort her. Speaking softly to try and comfort her, finding her grip loosen and seeing she had passed out, not entirely sure but not complaining about it either, a sleeping young women would prove easier to handle than a crying one.

Turning his focus towards her and with one final sigh Lesh couldn't help but mutter.

"Indeed, you humans are not worth anger or sadness, no instead you only deserve pity, and the few who do manage to reach beyond the sky deserve admiration, but honestly I find those being the only two things your race is worth in regards to emotions." He says, his tone carrying vast amounts of tiredness as he gently lays her down, turning his focus to Butcher.

"Check some of the buildings here, see if you can find a blanket for this pitiful girl, feel free to handle any resistance or provocation you meet as you see fit." He tells him, looking at the prison building well waiting for the final piece of there business here to conclude, namely the prisoner's chosen representative.
