Chapter 8

Ye Yan, Wutong, Chen Yan, Shen Li, and the rest of the warriors and civilians watched in awe as the majestic dragon let out a mighty roar and turned towards them, causing them to freeze in fear. However, Rayquaza communicated with them telepathically, saying, "You must leave, as this place is not safe."

Rayquaza then slithered through the air and flew into the sky, disappearing into the clouds. Ye Yan and the others snapped out of their daze and surveyed the destruction left behind by Rayquaza. Ye Yan spoke up, "Let's move on. We don't want any more demon beasts coming here."

The others nodded in agreement and quickly made their way to a safe location that an elder had told them about. It was a mysterious inscription pattern array that the elder's ancestor had discovered and learned how to open, which would soon lead them to the so-called domain of the Divine Continent. The Divine Continent was one of the six main continents that made up the Tiny World. This name was often used when referring to the world as a whole. It was part of one of the smallest Domains in existence and was created by a Supreme expert who structured it around the Power of Law. Due to this protective "cage" over it, experts from outside of the Tiny World could not enter it. Only those who were originally from it and had reached a high enough cultivation were able to travel between it and the Draconic Ruins Realm.

The travelers and thirteen families settled in what would soon be known as the St. Ancestral Mountain Range. They founded Glory City, where Ye Yan also started the Snow Wind Family.

While Lin Fan back home was bored and with no students around his habits of smoking came back.

His slender fingers deftly flick open the lid of his Zippo lighter, revealing its striking shark design, its menacing jaws poised to unleash a fiery inferno. The gleaming metal of the lighter catches the ambient light, casting a brief glint before the true spectacle begins.

With a swift motion, Pyro swipes his thumb across the flint wheel, creating a mesmerizing spark. The room instantly comes alive with a faint crackling sound as the spark ignites the flammable fuel within the lighter. The dancing flame leaps to life, casting an enchanting glow on Pyro's face.

Drawing the cigarette to his lips, Pyro takes a long, deliberate drag, the tip glowing like a tiny ember. As he inhales the intoxicating smoke, his eyes flicker with a mix of satisfaction and mischief. The acrid scent of tobacco fills the air, mingling with the faint hint of lighter fluid, creating an atmosphere that is both alluring and dangerous.

With a subtle smirk, Pyro exhales a plume of smoke that billows forth like a miniature cyclone, twisting and turning in intricate patterns. The smoky tendrils writhe and coil, dancing to an unseen rhythm as they gradually dissipate into thin air, leaving behind a fleeting trace of his fiery presence.

As the smoke gradually disperses, Pyro's eyes gleam with a mischievous glint, his lips curling into a knowing smirk. With his Zippo lighter and cigarette in hand, he stands as a harbinger of chaos, his flame flickering with an untamed, incendiary energy that leaves no doubt about the inferno that lies within him.

For the past decade, Ye Yan and Wutong had been working to create the city and allow their people to settle in. It took time, so they were not able to contact their master during that period. But now that they had finished everything, they used the communication stone, a gift from their master, to call him. The communication stone was an artifact that allowed remote communication over any distance, even across different planes. Sending stones always came in pairs, and Ye Yan, Wutong, and Lin Fan each had one specially created for them.

Ye Yan activated the communication stone, and the translucent, ghost-like figure of Lin Fan appeared before them. They both quickly bowed before their teacher and greeted him in unison, "It is a pleasure to see you, Master."

A smile formed on Lin Fan's face as he inquired, "I'm glad to see that both of you are safe. How have you been?"

Ye Yan and Wutong nodded enthusiastically, eager to update their master about the recent events in Glory City. Although Ye Yan had some doubts, he mustered the courage to speak up, "Master, would you consider coming to stay in Glory City?"

Lin Fan pondered this suggestion, aware that the canon timeline was set at least 800 years in the future. Despite his reservations, he decided to express his thoughts, "I suppose it might be time for me to travel a bit."

Excitement filled the hearts of Ye Yan and Wutong upon hearing their master's response. However, Lin Fan quickly interjected, wanting to establish a condition, "But I must insist that I am not disturbed by unnecessary individuals."

Ye Yan and Wutong nodded solemnly, understanding the importance of maintaining their master's focus and privacy.
