Chapter 2

*It was Chloe calling with Kelvin's number to warn Kira to stay away from him.

Chloe: hey b!tch, I called again to warn you to stay away from my boyfriend, else you will regret the day you met him

Kira: can you please give the phone to Kelvin? I need to talk to him

Chloe: you still have the gut to say such nonsense?

Kira: I need to hear directly from him. I want him to tell me himself

Chloe: now I can confirm you're a dumba$$. F*ck off

*Chloe ended the call and switched off the phone. Kira started crying again, her heart was heavy, she was feeling as if her heart want to expl0de. It was so difficult for her to comprehend what was happening. She sent message to Kelvin, tell him to explain what is going on but no response.

*The following day which is Saturday, Kelvin told his uncle that he needs to get another phone and retrieve his sim, his uncle gave him enough money to do that. He went to the network provider office to retrieve his sim but the queue was so long he had to leave the place and said he will go on Monday.

*Kira was still indoor crying, her mother came knocking and ask her to open the door or else she will break the door. She had no choice than to open the door. Her mother saw her swollen eyes, asked her what the problem was, she could not say anything not until when her mother shouted at her and threatened to inform her father if she refused to talk. She explained everything to her mother.

Mother: I warned you about this boy but you refused to listen. Now see what he has done to you.

Kira: mom, do you believe Kelvin can do this to me? Something is wrong somewhere.

Mother: keep f00ling yourself, Kelvin had seen beautiful ladies in the city and decided to forget about. All this poor people are fond of doing that, they will be looking for rich ladies up and down. They are lazy, they always depend on their partners..

Kira: mom stop, Kelvin is not like that. Something is fishy, I am sure of that.

Mother: has he called you?

Kira: no mom

Mother: and you're making excuse for him. You better get yourself together and plan about your future.

*As they were talking, Kira's father called her from the sitting room. She had to rush answer her dad. Her father is a strict man, Kira always avoid having issues with her father. As she step out to answer her father, a call came in to her phone which is on her bed and her mother picked the call.

Kelvin: hello love

Mother: who's this?

Kelvin: this is Kelvin. Mom is that you, how are you ma?

Mother: don't ever call her again. Go and meet your m!serable girlfriend and leave my daughter alone

*Kira's mother ended the call. She removed Kira's sim from the phone and flush it in the toilet. She went to her room and get another sim and put it inside her phone.

*Days passed, Kira was still waiting for Kelvin's call.

Kira's father had a friend named Dr. Vincent, very wealthy man, he had a son named Victor, the boy was so handsome, intelligent, rich with good character. Victor just came back from United States of America, he came to spend few weeks. One day, Dr. Vincent came to visit his friend, he came with his son Victor. Kira's father was so glad to meet Victor.

Father: Victor, you look so much like your daddy, how have you been? How's U.S?

Victor: fine thank you sir. Good to see you sir.

*As they were talking Kira and her mother walked in. Kira's mother was so happy to see Dr. Vincent and his handsome boy.

Mother: Doctor!!! Good to see you. You look so good

Dr. Vincent: wow, you're looking younger. My friend is taking good care of you

Father: God is the one taking care of everyone

Mother: how are you handsome?

Victor: hello ma, good to see you ma

Kira: good day doctor, how have you been sir?

Dr. Vincent: I've been good my dear, how's school?

*Kira was about to respond when her father interrupted

Father: yeah.. that reminds me. I want Kira to study in U.S. I want her to move away from here

Dr. Vincent: that's a very good idea. Exactly what I did for Victor. Kira meet Victor, my son.

*Both shake hands

Kira: I'm Kira Williams, nice to meet you

Victor: Victor Vincent, my pleasure

*Later Kira and her mother went to the kitchen to prepare food for the visitors. They ate, drink and gist. Some hours later, they left. As they left, Victor told his father that he likes Kira, his father did not say anything.

*Kira waited for Kelvin's call to no avail. Ever since the incident between Kira and Kelvin, Kira had not been on social media, she did not have friends to call or to call her. The only friend she had was Kelvin. After some time, she started keeping herself busy with online classes.

*Time passed, Kira's father started preparing for Kira's visa to U.S.

Dr. Vincent visited Chief Williams house (Kira's father) to discuss about his son's intention

Dr. Vincent: Williams, we need to talk about something important

Williams: what's that? Hope it's not difficult?

Dr. Vincent: it's about our children. I mean Victor and Kira

Williams: what about them?

Dr. Vincent: the last time I came here with my son, my son seems to have interest in Kira. When he told me I didn't say anything because I want to discuss it with you first. What do you think?

Williams: *laugh* I like your son and I will like him to be my son-in-law. I don't want it to look like we force them on each other. Let make them friends first, from there Victor will know what to do *chuckles*

Dr. Vincent: good idea. I will tell him when I get home

*When Dr. Vincent got home he explained everything to his son

Victor: dad, that's a good idea. I will go to her house tomorrow
