114 The atmosphere was different
Cherry was listening to musical in her room with a happy mood when she suddenly heard a loud sound of something breaking.
She lowered the music volume and rushed to the living room to see the matter.
Her father was standing near the sofa and her mother was sitting on the sofa with her both hands covering her eyes.
Few piece of broken water glass were spreaded on the floor but Cherry didn't notice those .
She took a step forward when a piece of small glass got stretched under her foot.
She felt sudden pain under her right foot and couldn't help but moan immoderately.
Her mom immediately stood from the sofa and rushed to her side.
With a worried voice she said," Cherry, did you get hurt? Why are you not wearing your slippers? "
Cherey noticed clearly that her mother's eyes were all red, it seemed like she was crying for a long time.
She turned her to the left and looked at her father who was still standing there motionlessly.There was no reaction coming from him.He was just like a statute.
Cherry felt something was wrong. She wanted to ask her mother something, but before that her mother made her sit on the sofa beside her.
Her mother lifted her foot and saw the blood under her foot.
She hurriedly took out the small piece of glass from her food and then ran toward her bedroom.
Within a few seconds her mother came back to living with fast aid kit.
She sat down on the floor and put Cherry's foot on her lap carefully.
Cherry looked at her father with confusion as she asked,
"Dad what happened?"
Her father didn't look at her, he slowly walked toward the their apartment gate and then went out without looking back.
Cherry couldn't understand what was going on.She never saw her father behaving like that.
She was feeling bad and confused at the same time.
Cherry's mother was cleaning her blood silently.
Cherry put her hand on her mother's shoulder and asked, " Mom, what is going on? Why did dad go like that? Please tell me what happened. "
Cherry's mom finished treating her injury then slowly looked at her face with a forceful smile.
" Nothing serious dear, we just had a little argument, don't worry . Go to your room and don't come until I clean all this.okay?"
Cherry nodded gently and went inside her room.
She couldn't help feeling anxious in her mind.
It's not that she never saw her parents having arguments or fights, but this time it was different. She never saw her father acting like this before. No matter how many times her parents fought with each other, it never felt like that.
The atmosphere of the home was totally different, Cherry was feeling suffocating.
She could guess that something big had happened and her mother was trying to hide it from her.
She wanted to run toward the living room and asked her mother again about the matter, but she pushed this idea.
She took several deep breathes and calmed down her mind.
"May be they really had a little argument, may be I am thinking too much.Mom will surely tell me later about it as usual, I should give her sometimes. " She was trying to console her herself.
