4 Battle with A Goblin
Trying to get closer without alerting it with my sword in hand, I managed to get within 4 meters of it. Deciding that I was close enough to start, I ran in. When I managed to get within 1 meter, it seemed to turn around, just noticing me. When I got even closer, it swung down its sword trying to at least incapacitate me. I held up my sword with one hand to block the incoming one and was startled when my arm went slightly numb. Deciding that it was disadvantageous to stay this close to it, I immediately jumped back.
Just now getting a good look at its face, I was shocked at just how ugly it was. I always knew that goblins were depicted as ugly creatures, but I was shocked at just how disgusting they were. Looking at it again I felt like it was looking at me with lustful eyes, then it hit me.
In every description of goblins I have ever read, they were depicted as creatures that used other species' females to reproduce due to the low number of female goblins. I was disgusted thinking of giving birth to a goblin ever. With that thought pushing me, I decided to rush in again.
Charging in again, I decided to go on the offensive, rather than the defensive. Getting within 1 meter again, I swung my sword in from the side, and to my surprise worked well. This system was definitely useful. I managed to get my sword several inches into the goblin's side before I hit something that seemed more solid. When I hit the mysterious object, the goblin suddenly stopped moving and turned into dust. Slightly confused, I looked down only to see the goblin's rusty sword and a mysterious crystal-like object. I threw the sword into my inventory, thinking I might be able to use it later for who knows what. I picked up the crystal and saw that it was about 1-4 cm in diameter and the shape of a diamond. Not knowing what it was I asked the system what it was.

Taking the Magic Stone and putting it into my inventory, I decided to head back to my cozy cave. When I got back I decided to try and cook the rabbit meat. Taking out the rabbit meat, I was delighted to see that the meat wasn't rotten. I came to the conclusion that meant that time stops in my inventory, which is a big plus. Starting the fire using a lighter that came with the campfire, I started to cook the meat. When it was properly done, the meat actually tasted really good. After finishing eating, I told the system to buy me a few buckets so that I can go get water from a river I passed by earlier.
Filling up a bucket of water, I put it into my inventory to make carrying it a bit easier. Deciding to carry one of the buckets back, I started to head back to the cave and filled the basin with the water from the buckets. Then, putting some rocks under the basin to elevate it and then the campfire underneath, I manage to make a heated bath. Waiting for the water to heat up, I took a look at my status.

Seeing my status, I decided that it was a good start with only my magic stat falling behind the rest. Deciding to practice while in the water, I stripped down and got into the water. Thinking that it was very refreshing, I tried to manipulate the water this time and managed to make a golf ball sized ball of water float between my hands. I was pleased with the improvement compared to my attempt with the wind earlier, especially considering that I wasn't tired despite doing more than I did earlier. After buying some soap from the shop and washing myself, I went back to manipulating the water.
An hour later, I decided to get out and practice actually using my magic skills. Putting my clothes back on and going outside, I faced a tree and tried using [Water Blade] and was happy that it worked. Firing it towards a tree that was 1 meter in diameter, it cut halfway through before stopping and dissipating. Thinking that it was going well I tried using [Fire Bolt] and the explosion on impact bore a 3-inch deep charred hole in the tree. Trying out [Wind Blade] it moved faster, but didn't go as deep as the [Water Blade]. [Earth Shot] went deeper than the [Fire Bolt] but didn't have any explosion.
After all of the tests with the magic, I didn't feel tired at all. Thinking about it I'm constantly using magic draining my mana, while also recovering it all within minutes, so I must be pushing the limits of my magic stat. Not wanting to break the magic training, I kept going for several hours. When I decided that it had been dark long enough and I was finished, I asked the system what time it was. I was surprised when the system told me that I was using magic for roughly 4 hours, putting the current time to about 11 pm. Thinking that that was enough, I went back into my cave and asking the system a t-shirt and some shorts, changed and went back into my heavenly bed.
