Chapter 2 - The simulation

One moment a large and somewhat heavy red sphere wasn't in my hand and then it was. As well with the feeling of my body...feeling much, much better. It was like feeling like a new man and given that the talent didn't really effect combat...

It was still pretty good for a white talent, at least for me. Plus the half formed stage 1 monster core should be worth a lot right? Maybe I could use it to enter the martial arts school that was opening up or open?

After a few more minutes of scrolling I closed the app and wiped my forehead. Yeah, maybe gold was good but couldn't I just ask for some silver to spend on stuff?

[Month 1. After obtaining a monster core you decide to train yourself during these few weeks so that you could at the very least appear strong. You buy a spear and you began to train while using it]

[Month 2. You hunt some animals and sell them to buy some armor and a better spear. You also begin to get the help of other's in the village]

[Month 3. You end up finding the bear again but this time it isn't injured. You note where it is and quickly leave. A week later you arrive at the nearest town and after searching around for the martial schools you find 2. The Horn Zan Martial College and the Zen Long Martial school. You decide to join the Zan Martial school a branch from the Zan Martial College which is located within the city.

You find someone that you think is trust worthy and you tell them the location of the Half-step Stage 1 Bear. They quickly gather some other martial artists and go towards the forest. In the end they kill it and you get rewarded with entry into the school.

Once you enter the Zen Long Martial school your able to give the Half step stage 1 core to the school in exchange for 1000 contribution points. Although your nervous about being discovered for having almost the same monster core you didn't need to be. After all a Half-step Stage 1 monster core was grabbed by an alchemist and used to create some pills.]

[Month 4. You began to learn a few techniques. Such as the True Sun Martial arts manual a manual that would allow you to reach for Grade 6 of the martial realm. You also discovered that you had shit talent or at least a bit below below average talent...you were fucked.]

[Month 5. Nothing really happened, you exchanged 100 contribution points for some cultivation resources such as herbal baths or a day within a Qi dense mountain. In the end you barley made any progress.(15/100)]

[Month 6. You ended up praticing [Iron Palm] and [Destructive Thrust] as they didn't use as much Qi. You had little after all even after cultivating the True Sun Manual]

[Month 7. Something happened. Monsters are attacking various towns. You have seen 3 Stage 1 monsters and various Half-step Stage 1. A beast tide there calling it. From the outskirts of the Demonic Forest, various beasts are running out and towards the Kingdom. The Zen martial school sent a group of Grade 9 Martial artist with a Half-Step Grade 7 Martial Artist]

[Month 8. The group died. A Grade 6 Demonic beast with the bloodline of a Flood Dragon appeared. It decimated trhe front lines. The kingdom sent 3 Grade 6 Martial artists, the strongest ones within the kingdom to supress this. You continue to train afraid that you wont have the strength to protect yourself now more then ever. [Month 9. You had a sudden bout of enlightenment while praticing your True Sun technique and you made incredible progress within one day then you did in the past few months. (70/100)]

[Month 10. The town was destroyed. You were lucky to escape with only losing one foot but your spear career was ruined with your hand broken beyond repair...maybe not. You did grab as much as you could before everything was destroyed]

[Month 11. The Kingdom was destroyed. Somehow, someway a Grade 3 Demonic Titan was born within the Demonic forest. The titan single handedly killed all the top Grade 5 and Half-step Grade 3 martial artists. Even the killing and great arrays failed to stop him. Most of the kingdoms have lost hope given that the kingdoms surrounding the one that was now a demonic kingdom barley had Stage 3 martial artists. While escaping a Grade 4 coveted your treasures and killed you, a Stage 9 Martial artist]

I stared at the screen with a frown, looks like this entire kingdom was gone for.

The next day I bought a map and a few other things with the silver I had before leaving the village with a new spear that I got out of pity. After all, this spear was worth more then just a few silver. After selling my small house I left broke with almost nothing except some copper.

I opened the map and sighed. Looks like I was a bit away, a week or so walking by foot.

"Welp, I already worked in the fields just walking isn't that bad" I muttered to myself as I quickly found a place with some fruit before tossing them into my inventory for later consumption.

It took a week of just walking and talking in the World chat before I finally made it to the Town. I glanced around after paying for entry and I glancded at my Half-step Stage 1 monster core. I took a deep breath before walking towards the Zen Long Martial school.

Entering the school I glanced around before walking towards the counter.

"Welcome, would you like to view out services and or shop?" The women stated with a smile as she placed two papers onto the table.

"I would like to enter the Zen Long Martial school" I stated hesitantly since I didn't know how the me in the simulation even went to do something like this.

"Oh! It's 35 silver to become an Outer Disciple of the Zen Long Martial school" The women stated and I nodded.

"I'd like to pay with this" I took out the monster core from my backpack, but in reality I just grabbed it from my inventory.

Placing it on the counter I watched as the women blinked and then took out another piece of paper.

"Alright. A half-step Stage 1 monster core. It's worth around 1000 contribution points and since you wish to enter I'll waive the fee because an Alchemist needs a monster core of this level! Welcome to the Zen Long martial school. Would you like to browse the store while I go prepare your plaque and robes Mr...?" The women stated easily as she grabbed the core, wrote down something and then placed it away.

"Kuro" I helpfully said as I watched the women note that down, then she placed another paper on the table of which I grabbed and glanced over.

Buying 2 herbal baths to be delivered to my accomdations the small house that existed a bit outside of the town. That was 825.

150 silver. Which meant I spent 840 contribution points.

I had 160 contribution points left.

Glancing at the shop I didn't really have anything else that I needed and since it would look strange for me to use all my contribution points for silver I decided to
