Chapter 5: Starting Work at the Business and Profiting From the Chat Group

A few weeks after hiring Cameron the minimum number of people to begin working had already been hired. Brandon went to the office and started to transfer the needed blueprints and specifications for developing the computer from the group chat to his computer so he could share what was needed with everyone.

Once he finished getting all the information transferred over he sent a list of materials needed to the relevant departments so that it could be ordered for their use. After which he transferred each of the different parts specifications into different external hard drives and encrypted them before taking them to the people who needed them.

With that done he moved on to look through other technology that was available in the package provided by the system and he found a smartphone that could be made rather easily and decided to actually make it himself. He ordered all the materials he needed to build the phone and noticed it was getting close to lunch time. He had John take him back home for lunch and while he ate he was thinking about how he could get the most out of his company. He decided he would sell certain products for Bitcoin only, mostly different applications that could be used along side the electronic devices he was going to be selling.

He was also thinking about how he could make a profit from the chat group so he looked at it. He noticed he had a balance in his chat group account again. A few people had downloaded his analysis of the stock market. The file he uploaded was priced at $500,000 and he had $4.5 million in his chat group account. He decided he would leave it there for the time being so he would not spend it and he thought about what other things he could write up and mention to make even more money from the group.

After lunch he went back to the company while he continued to think about how to make more money from the group. When he arrived back at his office the things needed to make the phone had already been delivered so he started working on it. The materials for the computers had not been delivered yet, it was expected to arrive in the next few days. While he was working on the phone he noticed he had enough materials to make an extra one so he decided to auction it off in the group as a way to get some extra money from them.

"Hello to @everyone, I am currently developing an advanced smart phone that would be decades ahead of the current generation of smart phones. I only have enough materials currently to produce 1 and would like to auction it off to the highest bidder to be the first person besides myself to own one. The starting bid will be $1 million. The phones features include internet access, the ability to connect to other devices that allow for Bluetooth connections, it has access to Wi-Fi, it has military grade encryption to prevent your calls or texts from being intercepted, and it has the ability to connect through satellites to maintain signal anywhere in the world. I will complete the production of this phone by the end of the week. Please start your bidding now."

Bill Gates: "$2 million"

Jeff Bezos: "$2.5 million"

Warren Buffet: "$5million"

The bids continued for a while, ultimately Bill Gates won the bid with $75 million. He immediately transferred the funds over and Brandon left the funds in his group account for the time being which brought his total balance to $79 million. He looked at the group store again and noticed it had not changed much, the only difference was that it seemed the stock had refilled from when he purchased the Gene strengthening regent and the AI assistant so the ones he purchased had been restocked after the month ended. There was also mention that once his own net worth surpassed $1 billion it would add more advanced items.

With the new funds being in his account he got back to working on the phone and managed to complete both before the end of the day which surprised him. He expected it to take longer due to how advanced it is. Since he completed the phone he went ahead and switched his phone number over to it so that it would be his main phone now, he also connected the AI Assistant to it. After the AI finished installing it created its own application on the phone where Brandon could input anything he wanted and the AI would work on it in the background while he was doing other things.

Brandon decided to have the AI focus on monitoring his email, texts, the chat group and any news related to technology. He then requested that it block notifications from these things and only send him notifications that were important from these. Once this was done he requested that the AI send the auctioned phone to Bill Gates anonymously so that his identity would not be exposed.

With that settled he went to talk with Cameron and asked him to hire a small new group of people who knew how to produce phones. He wanted to start small scale production for the time being since he doesn't expect them to sell fast. He also ordered a new set of materials to make the phones. Once he finished doing these things he decided it was getting late in the day so he wanted to end his work and go home.

Note: The business net worth of liquid funds went down because of the purchase of materials for the computers and phones. The non-liquid assets will increase once the production of the computers has reached a stable degree of production for sale.
