Prologue

Eons ago, the world was nothing but a radiant sheet of stars. Millennia later, darkness took form and fought the light. The conflict resulted in a massive bang that created the world humans know today.

The darkness lost and fell to the Earth. Seeking a way to hide from the light, it created massive holes called chasms that run deep into the Earth.

Darkness waits at the bottom of those chasms, waiting for their lord to arise and strike the stars again.

The stars, battered by combat, fell to the Earth. Those that are still there are reverently called Kami, or spirits. They, too, wait for their prophesied savior, the Cahaya, to rise and save the world from darkness.
