Bothering Numbers

I realized I just slept sitting behind the door.

Wasting long minutes, I remained seated on the floor looking at the untouched bed in front. My mind flew remembering my decisions yesterday and the consequences I'll be facing starting today. I guess this day and the next few days will remain quiet again— for the disturbing ones will not disturb me anymore.

And yes, I just made it happen. Congrats to me!

After a moment, I sighed and stood up from my seat to start my day. I won't go anywhere with just sitting here, I have a lot of things to do.

I needed to mentor myself because Rene is not available today. Something came up. Rene texted me yesterday that he needs to go somewhere for some important matter the mafia has to take action. He just didn't disclose what is that important matter he had to attend to.

Which made me more intrigued.

I pulled a jacket and the sword as I go out for a sword day again. I should spend all my day there for I have nothing to do in the center but to be in my room anyway. And as much as possible I should avoid any interaction with the two.

This is the best way to help them out after all the things I've done.

To be out of their lives.

I reached the cliff with the usual darkness enveloping it. I started with my usual routine and practiced with what I know and what I learned from Rene during our practices.

Offense is useless without know knowing defense, that is one thing that I learned.

My defense is getting better, but still needs a lot of improvements.

In the middle of my practice, my phone lit up for a text. It is from an unknown number and it is not a text connected to the mafia.

It is a text from Remus.

I know it is from him because German once told me to phonebook his number but I refused to do it because why should I add his phone number in my contacts? Who is he? Why do I have to have his name on my phone?

And since my memory is that great, I still remember it.

09xxxxxxxx

Where are you?

I ignored his message, manipulated my phone, and blocked his number. I continued what was interrupted.

He is one of those I have to scrape in my life.

Fiercely.

I glared at my phone when it lit up again and again.

And now why am I having too many text mates? Is my number publicly posted somewhere? Or did I carelessly spread it while sleepwalking? Well, I don't sleepwalk so that wasn't a possible reason.

I manipulated it again, only to see 5 more messages coming from different unknown numbers. I opened one and saw how it was exactly the same as the message I just received earlier. I scrolled more and saw that all those numbers contains the same message.I frowned at that weird instance.

What am I? A missing person?

I wanted to just ignore it but what if German, Marsha, or Mark was the one who sent these and they are in a dangerous situation?

Besides, who in his right mind would text the same message using different numbers to the same person?

I tried dialing one and the sender immediately answered it.

"He-"

I immediately ended the call when the voice registered on my ears.

I clicked all those numbers and busied myself blocking all of them.

I glanced at my phone again, my fingers started to type a reply....I erased it. I exited the messaging app and turned my phone off before throwing it up on the grassy area. I guess I need to change my phone number sooner.
