Alla's Diligence

No sooner had Eileen tucked her mobile into the pocket of her pristine lab coat than she noticed a stylishly attired, handsome man approaching the VIP ward.

Upon catching sight of her, his eyes sparkled and a warm, radiant smile spread from the corner of his eyes. "Excuse me, young doctor, could you tell me if Ms. Barton is in this room?"

Hearing that he was looking for Alla, a momentary stiffening crossed Eileen's face. Could it be that Alla's prophesy was accurate, and her suitor had arrived so swiftly?

While her mind was in tumult, Eileen managed to maintain a smile on her face. "Yes, she is. And you are?"

From his suit pocket, he extracted a business card and handed it to her. "My name is Walden Abrams."

Upon seeing 'Head Designer of Turner Architecture Limited Company' embossed in gold on the card, a subtle smile tugged at Dr. Weston's lips. "Pleased to meet you."
