SEDUCTION IN THE POOL
It's been a week since May had resided with Xavier. It would be odd to say that in those days, none of them conversed with each other again after that discussion.
She understood she had wronged him but humanity deserves a second chance. Even God favoured her and bestowed her another chance but that pompous man was playing arduous to get. She was so remarkably frustrated. If things blathered on like this, how will she win his heart?.
She couldn't tally the times she had attempted to seduce him but the man acted mellow about it. Even now, she had worn a seductive bikini to enthral him but the man was vigorously flipping through some irksome newspaper.
May patiently grabbed her seat to his viewpoint. She squatted down and pretended to moisturize her body. She patiently brought her elegant hands to her smooth legs. Periodically, she would check if the man was ogling but to her dissatisfaction, his full fixation was on the sheet.
With a whiff of a salacious voice, she mumbled "I wonder why it is so hot today...maybe I need company" She peeked at the man once more and pouted.
But, she didn't stop.
"Brother Xavier, can you help cream my back? I feel sweaty" She cried sheepishly, she caught the man's attention but when they both met eyes, May jumped in fear.
He was throwing her a sharp dagger.
"Why?" was the question thrown at her by the man. May laced her brows and pretended she was confused and this agitated the man. He took hold of her chin and pinched her cheeks.
"Why are you doing this? To grab my attention? May you have better things to do with life than irritating me" was the bitter words he told her before he rose to evacuate the pool.
May bit her lips sadly and grabbed his stiff wrist before he left.
"W...we need to talk, brother. I know I had rejected you then but believe me, I wasn't in my right mind. After that awful day, I have been thinking about you, trust me. I admire you now...as a man. I just need a chance to prove it to you"
Xavier had a wry smile after her profession. He turned to her and patted her hair.
"You are still a kid, you just want someone to replace that space in your heart...As your elder brother, I won't support you" He half-smiled.
May blinked her brown eyes at him with a deep frown "You are not even my biological brother...don't I like you? Didn't you say you love me? What now? Can't I get another chance?" She felt wronged "My main purpose coming here was to regain your love, brother" She held his hands, her eyes desperately digging for something.
"Y...you don't love me anymore?"
A bright light shone in the man's eyes as he gazed at her desperate expression but he coerced himself not to be affected. He had long overlooked everything and besides, he didn't deserve her.
Teasingly, he said "You can have my dogs...they can give you love"
"Ahhhh, you will feed me to your carnivorous dog...and my love?" She boldly spouted, her eyes seeking answers from the man.
"You probably don't cherish your life, is it?" The cold man curled his lips upward in a mischievous way. When he moved toward her, May speculated he was going to kiss her, so she had puckered her lips to be kissed but then she was abruptly carried and the unforeseen happened.
The man had tossed her into the pool so severely and brutally.
"Love the water?" Xavier smirked.
"Brother, you are bad...I don't like you anymore" The man shook his head.
"You are a grown-up woman already May. Twenty-two at that, so stop throwing tantrums and return to your father. You are not needed here" He coldly uttered and left her inside the cold water.
May was displeased with his attitude. She felt like crying after being given the cold shoulder. She wasn't lying when she said she liked him. She had started liking him but now he was the one rejecting her.
She felt tears fill her eyes and gradually they fell.
"Why did you become so cold? Why don't you give me a chance?" She whined.
In a corner, Xavier heard her sobs and felt stung in his heart. He felt uncomfortable in his stomach and began coughing. When he noticed his cough was getting intense, he hurriedly left the pool to his room. He pulled on the second drawer and took out a medicine.
