I CAME FOR YOU

Xavier lazily held up himself from his bed. He was seriously ill. He tiredly left his room to get water from the kitchen when he heard a male and female voice coming from the living room.

His face squinted in irritation as he thought his assistant brought a woman to his residence. He hated filthy and ambiguous people and to him, women were repulsive. He hated how they would pretend only to be intimate with him.

From the stairs, he noticed how his assistant was helping the woman sit on his couch.

'This man was courting death'.

Regardless, of how her relationship with him was, he had no right to welcome her into his residence. He grumpily descended the stairs with his hands in his pants pocket.

“I apologize once again… I thought I was about to be kidnapped” May admitted guilt for the nth time. She was truly embarrassed for what she had done. She didn't know how she got that courage. Wasn't she timid? How did she?.

The assistant faked a smile as he waved his hand.

“It is all right” May knew he was hurt from the expression on his face. She wanted to do something to help with the pain.

“How may I…umm…help?” She blushed red and looked away. The two didn't even realize a pair of gray eyes was looking at them angrily.

Xavier fisted his hands.

“They are flirting so shamelessly right in my faces…they do have guts”. His chest felt heavy, and he could not help but cough.

The two people trying to speak politely turned their heads to the outcry. One was delighted, while the other froze on the spot.

“Brother Xavier” She called. As she rose and raised her hands, they unintentionally slapped the assistant on the face.

“…”

The assistant looked pitiful at that moment. 

May was focused on the other man to defer what she had done. Her eyes brightened up so beautifully as she embraced the sick man.

“You old bully” She chuckled. Xavier and his pitiful assistant exchange glance at each other as if their eyes were in a battle.

Xavier glared at him with eyes which meant, 'Why is she here?'.

The assistant gave an innocent look as a response, 'I don't know'

Xavier raised his brow, 'What do you mean? You apparently got her here…do you want to lose your job?'

The assistant shrieked in fear.

“Brother…i…i…”

“Why are you here? Did you leave your husband, and the hell are you wearing that?” He pushed her away and took strides towards the kitchen to have water. May obediently followed him with pouted lips.

“Do you have any idea of how much I suffered just to be here? I left home and got on the plane… I was so lonely on the street. Some stupid driver threw some ring at me and made me fall inside the river…can't you feel how pitiful I am? And you are being harsh towards me” She hugged his arms and feigned loftily. 

The assistant felt like he was unflavored by God. Did it mean, the woman he had previously seen was the youngest miss? He now believed that he truly deserved to be hit by her.

“May, I have no time for your nonsense…you're coming here for no reason makes no proper sense to me” Xavier looked at the woman with a complicated stare.

“You are so dumb…don't you see I came for you? I left my wedding to win your love…heheheheheheh” If a normal person heard her nonsensical words, they would think she had gone insane.

That was how Xavier was feeling. He thought the woman was sick and needed a checkup. He didn't believe she left the man she adored more than anything for him. Impossible.
