'I'm sorry' She whispered just before...

I dropped the gun to the floor. Falling to my knees, I grabbed her and pulled her towards me. Holding her tight in my arms. I could hear her letting out a deep breath once she realised that I hadn't shot her.

I couldn't do it. I couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger, I couldn't kill her. Her arms lifted and she clutched onto my shirt, pressing her head into my chest as I ran my fingers through her hair. I could feel her tears dampen my shirt, I lifted her head to take a look at her face, her pale face, all the blood had drained from her veins, I had scared her. Shit I had scared me too.

Grabbing her face I crashed my lips onto hers, she didn't pull away, she didn't even try to fight me. My shirt was still fisted tight in her little hands as I devoured her soft lips. I wanted this moment to last forever, for her to just sit there and let me kiss her.
