I don't need

Felix's peaceful and work free week ended in a blink of an eye. Both he and Alex found themselves going back to their home.

"Boss, I have rescheduled all your past meetings."

Felix didn't give him a reply in words. Despite that, Alex knew his CEO had heard him.

Their flight back to their home was only 4 hours. Alex had already notified Felix's driver about their arrival.

Exiting the private jet, both of them sauntered to the terminal of the airport. They saw three black Bentley Flying Spur Speed parked there.

Felix and Alex were surrounded by three bulky and tall bodyguards. They moved towards the cars without any issues.

Felix opened the car door and immediately got inside. Dumbfounded, Alex could only shake his head at his CEO. Felix didn't let Alex unlock the door even though he considered it a part of his duty as the assistant of Felix and also his right-hand man.

Alex sat on the front shotgun seat beside the driver. While Felix was in the backseat. He had his eyes shut.

"To the company building", Alex instructed the driver.

"Yes, Sir."

The driver pressed the start button for the car engine. The car started with a growling sound.

There was one car ahead of them while the other covered them from the back.

"My schedule."

Felix said in a hoarse voice.

"CEO. No meetings until afternoon. At 2 pm you have a meeting with the real estate agent regarding the land you plan to acquire. Around 5 pm, there is a board meeting. The Shareholding Directors had requested this meeting because of the failure of the previous one. Also, this meeting is important since after the failure of our last project due to Samson Filson, IT head; many wanted to sell their shares."

"Buy them, you know the drill. I don't need people who can't put their trust in me and my capability."

"Noted. Their shares would be obtained before the meeting commenced."

Alex firmly responded. He smirked as he listed down the names of all who wanted to sell the shares.

"After the meeting, your schedule is clear for today."

"Hmm.."

They reached an exceptionally high and broad company building. The building was the tallest in their area. It touched the sky. It had a "Carter Corporation" displaying horizontally to the front-facing two edges of the building.

The name kept flashing and it also moved in upward vertical motion on the two magnetic LED huge boards. The building had mirrors all around. One could mistake it as a mirror house. A mirror is a place wholly for mirrors. From the window to the walls, everything would be manufactured of glasses.

Generally, these types of places would be quite limited. Maybe at most, they will have three floors but the tall tower ahead of them had more floors than 100 if not 100 would be the minimum number of floors. At the top, crowning the mega gigantic structure was a terrace though not completely visible to the naked eyes of the bystanders.

One of the bodyguards opened the door for Felix. He put one leg at a time and like a slow-motion movie, he came out of his car. The scene itself looked majestic.

Fixing the cuff links of his coat sleeves, he raised his head as he watched Alex walking and standing beside him.

Together, they entered the company entrance. The employees didn't react to him and continued to do their job that would appear to others yet Felix could feel their eyes. Alex snorted.

'They should know the A of acting before trying to do it.' He mentally scolded the workers who seemed to lose their awareness and stared at them like they were the top best quality meat.

Not caring about their gazes, both of them took the private elevator directly to their floor.

"My heart dropped to the core when I saw our CEO."

"I can't believe I could be this lucky ever in my life."

".....Am---mm-- I---- e--ve--n-- a--liv--e?"

"He was not looking at me yet I became too wet for him…"

"And if he might have turned his head in my direction, I would have given birth that instant… No doubt."

"CEO is out of our dreams but his secretary and assistant Alexandro… I would do anything to be with a man like him. He might have zero significance compared to the CEO. Still, I can't ignore his looks and bank balance."

The receptionist lady shook her head at them. Opposite to one's imagination, the building had a middle-aged woman as the receptionist. Most inclined towards the young blood but the experience and expertise comes with time. One experienced person is enough to beat hundreds of inexperienced people.

The lady had been working here before her twenties. It helped to gain her experience with each passing year by now and Carter Corps. wished for the best quality rather than a better quantity. Being such a large conglomerate, they could afford to have more people on the front desk nonetheless if none of them comprehended their job correctly then it would only be a waste for them.

The lady's family had been working here as workers for the Carter for ages now. Pursuing the same path, the current lady became the company's receptionist. Working for a long term had given her lessons to avoid any future mishaps.

"These new trainees surely don't have a filter for their mouth." The lady whispered. The young girl trainees had been appointed by their ex-IT head and she knew what happened to him, however, she couldn't understand why her employer had still allowed them to work. After what happened...

Unknown to the chaos originated from the mere arrival of Felix and Alex. They stood in pure silence inside the lift. Since they used the private elevator, the time required to go up from the ground floor was only 10 mins.

The door slid open. The first one to get off was Felix. Alex on his toes carefully walking behind him.

"Make a strong espresso. Bring it to my cabin. Also, ask Leo to deliver the files needed for my confirmation. Tell him to put them inside my cabin. Give me the report of past weeks' work progress on our ongoing projects."

Alex memorized Felix's commands.

"Anything else CEO?"

"No. And make sure to be on time."

Felix scanned his handprint on the locker beside his one way to see through the glass door. The door got unlocked with a ding sound.
