Charlotte was in deep thought throughout the class. She was disturbed about the transfer student and couldn't fathom why.

"Charlotte you are silent all this while. are you okay?" asked Vivian

"Yes Viv. I'm not just happy with the transfer student. I don't know why." said Charlotte

"Really what did you see?"asked Viv

"I sensed bad energy from him!"

"Ha ha Charlotte. You're funny."

"I'm serious Viv."

"The way am seeing him. He can't harm anyone. just trust me."

"Okay. I think it's closing time now." said Charlotte

"Yeah they will soon ring the bell for closing time." replied Viv

"Closing time.' announced the time keeper

"Let's go home Charlotte." said Vivian

"Okay!" said Charlotte

They were already outside with the other students discussing and Vivian driver was sighted in the vicinity of the school

"See your driver's already here." shouted Charlotte

"Okay let's go home together Charlotte!" said Vivian

"Really?" asked Charlotte

"Yes." said Vivian

"Okay let's go." said Charlotte

They both left the school together and was already at Vivian's house

"So Viv, when are they going to give us topic for the quiz?" asked Charlotte

"It's this week I think." replied viv, she was busy eating snacks while Charlotte was eating bread and butter

"Okay!" replied Charlotte

It was late in the night and Charlotte was already in her bed. she was studying her homework and suddenly she remembered what happened in the classroom

"This Adam guy, I hope he didn't come to unique international high school to steal my position from me." said Charlotte inwardly

Her sister Deborah entered inside the room immediately and said

"How was school today Charlotte?" asked Deborah

"It was fine as usual!" replied Charlotte indifferently

"What's wrong?" asked Deborah

"Nothing," replied Charlotte

"Really I can sense something is wrong with you." said Deborah

"Nothing Debbie, so how was work today." said Charlotte

"It was fine!" said Deborah

"I hope you guys sells well today." asked Charlotte

"We did and I pray I've enough money to safe for my exams fees. You know I will like to write the west African examinations council this year." said Deborah

"I would be glad if you write the exams this year." replied Charlotte

"That's the more reason I am working with mom, in order to save money ahead." said Deborah

"I pray for more selling this week for you guys" said Charlotte

"Amen, I want to sleep now dear." Deborah climbed the bed and she dozed off instantly

"I guess she's very tired." thought Charlotte and she felt her sister pains

After some while, Charlotte packed her school notes inside her bag and she slept off too

The following day at school, Charlotte and Vivian were busy discussing in the classroom. The English teacher entered the class suddenly and said

"Settled down class." said the teacher

Everyone quickly sat down straight and faced the teacher.

"Today we have genres of literature, who can mention the genres of literature?" asked the teacher

"Hi ma'am." said Charlotte, she raised her hands up gently

"Yes Charlotte." said the teacher

"We have three genres of literature ma'am." replied Charlotte softly

"Correct Charlotte. Who can name it for us?" asked the teacher looking at the rest of the students. Adam raised up his hands and said

"Drama, prose and poetry." said Adam

"Yes correct. please clap for him." said the teacher please at Adam

Everyone clapped for Adam, some of the students thought Adam would not be able to answer the question right. They all looked at him admirably

"Who else can explain the genres of literature?" asked the teacher and Adam stood up again to answer the question correctly

"Whoa very good of you Adam, class clap for him." said the teacher please. After an hour the period for the English language ended.

"We have gotten another genius in class." said one girl

"Yes handsome and brilliant." said another girl chuckled

Charlotte was not happy with the situation of to things happening lately, she felt she had another rival in her class now threatening to take her place.

"Class this is the topic for the upcoming debate." announced class prefect

"Charlotte let's go and and check the topic!" said Vivian suddenly

"Okay," said Charlotte

Before they got to the front seat, everyone had already clouded the notice board.

"Science is better than Art!" read Adam out loud

"Whoa nice!" said Samson delighted

"This is very simple though." said Adam firmly

"Really?" asked one guy surprised at his statement

"Who's joining me?" asked Adam facing the rest of the class squarely

"Who's joining Adam?" asked the Prefect

"I will join you Adam!" said Princess smiling sheepishly at Adam

"This is not a beauty pageant." said Adam sarcastically and everyone laughed

"Princess is good too and Charlotte is super good." said Prefect suddenly

"Uhmn who's she." said Adam indifferently

"Charlotte please come here." said Prefect calling over to Charlotte that was three inches away from them

Charlotte moved forward with Vivian by hers side.

"Here she comes!" said Prefect smiling

"Really I thought it's some one big. How very small you're brainy." chuckled Adam

Others students laughed while Charlotte was offended by Adam ridiculous attitude.

"Now we've two people who else again?" asked Prefect

"I will join you guys!" said Samson

"Okay, who else again?" asked Adam

"You guys are complete, plus Princess too." said Prefect frankly

"Okay since we know the topic who will be the leader?" asked Samson

Some students shouted Charlotte, while others said Adam

"Charlotte!" shouted the students

"Adam!" should the students

"Okay let's vote." said Prefect

"Okay!" replied the class

After some minutes, Adam was chosen as the chief speaker

"Really Adam?" said Vivian displeased

"I know they'll choose him." said Charlotte bitterly

"Don't mind them because he's charming and rich." said Vivian

"I know." said Charlotte unhappy

"Don't mind them Charlotte, let's just hope we'll win this time around. I don't want art class to win this time around." said Vivian

"Me too," agreed Charlotte

"That's the spirit girl and I trust you. Please, Charlotte make the science class proud irrespective of the chief speaker." said Vivian frankly

"Okay dear." replied Charlotte

Caleb food was carrying a tray of snacks and juice and fruits. He sighted the two girls eating and talking on their food.

"Hi ladies!" said Caleb cheerfully, he quickly sat beside Vivian

"What again?"asked Vivian displeased

"Nothing, how are you today Viv?" asked Caleb softly

"Fine." said Vivian dryly

"How're you too Charlotte?" asked Caleb

"Fine and you?" said Charlotte politely,

"I'm fine too! hope you guys are preparing for the debate?" replied Caleb

"Thanks for reminding us Caleb!" said Vivian sarcastically

"I hope you guys win this time around." said Caleb

"I can see the irony in your statement." admitted Charlotte smiling

"I mean well guys, trust me." said Caleb innocently

"Oh I see!" replied Viv

"Yes I hope you're joining Viv." said Caleb

"No!" replied Viv

"You don't want to be a nerd like me, I see" grinned Caleb

"Duh!" smiled Vivian suddenly

"So you can smile." chuckled Caleb

"Naughty boy." said Vivian

"He caught you there Viv." Charlotte was smiling brightly and Caleb blushed

Adam entered the cafeteria and caught sight of Charlotte smiling with Caleb

"Lovebirds I think." thought to herself irritated and started eating his food

"Hi Adam, can I sit with you?" asked one girl gently

"No!" replied Adam dryly

"What a cold guy!" she left the place angrily

"Hi Adam!" said Princess smiling sheepishly, she sat down with him and started eating together

Other people noticed Adam didn't send Princess away unlike the other girl and they thought he liked Princess

"See that girl!" said Vivian irritated

"I think he likes her, seeing both of them talking now." said Charlotte displeased

"You can see the way he sent the other girl away!" said Vivian

"Oh that's the new guy in science class. I heard he's a genius Viv?" asked Caleb

"Yeah I think he's!" said Vivian nonchalant

"So Charlotte had a rival now." grinned Caleb

"Duh," said Charlotte frowned

"Enough of those nerds, can I have my lunch in peace?" said Vivian

"Sorry about that,"said Caleb

"So Caleb why are you sitting here?"asked Vivian

"Nothing,"he said

"Why are you not sitting with your friends Iris and Ivy?"asked Vivian

"I just felt like sitting here with you guys or is there a crime in that?"asked Caleb chuckled

"Its not funny and moreover when did we become friends huh?"said Vivian mockery

"You don't have to be mean Vivian!"replied Caleb smiled

"I know those girls set you up to gather information from science class,"said Vivian

"Uhmnmm, so you're scared of Art class,"

"Am not!"shouted Vivian suddenly and Adam looked over at their seats and he was surprised to see Caleb from science class sitting with them talking.

"If you're not scared so stop chasing me away!"said Caleb sincerely and Charlotte agreed with him

"Yeah science class are not scared of Art class isn't it Viv?"asked Charlotte soft

"Yeah Charlotte,"replied Vivian smiling

"Finally am welcome to stay now," said Caleb grinned

"Uhmnmm,"replied Vivian and Charlotte laughing out loud.
