18 Bloodlust.

Me and Vergo were running right behind the instructor, when I looked around, I saw that a few of the examinees had decided to give up on the exam. After all, we had ran for 20 kilometers by now. When I was doing it, I also saw Killua and Gon.

They were a few meters behind me, at this moment, I thought. 'You know what. Screw it. Since I'm here, I might as well get to know the main cast.'

(Onee-chan is worried about you. You don't have friends.) Nyarlathotep said.

'I have Vergo.'

(Vergo is family. You are the one always saying that. Look, you can cause chaos later, after you actually get strong enough, that is. Getting a friendship with Gon and Killua will benefit you, since there is a high chance that the crystal we are looking for is on the Zoldyck Family Estate.) She said.

'Are you sure?' I asked.

"Hey." Gon said after he saw me.

"How old are you?" Killua instantly asked me.

"Ehm. I'm 11 years old." I said, a little confused.

"I am a year older than you." He said with a mocking smile on his face.

This made one of the veins in my forehead pop.

'He has a quite the cheeky attitude.' I internaly commented.

"What is your name?" Gon asked.

"I am Oemitsu, however, you can call me Mitsu." I said.

"I'm Gon." He said.

"Killua." The white haired brat said.

"The one behind me is Vergo and he is 9 years old." I said while pointing at him.

After I said that, Gon made a surprised face.

"As I expected of the Hunter Exam, there's even a 9 year old in it." Gon commented.

Like this, we ran for the rest of the traject. We ran for almost 100 kilometers where the last 20 were only stairs. All of this was just to weed out all the weaklings. And it did a pretty good job.

'At least I don't own a dinner to Gon and Killua. We did bet it as a joke, however, I really don't want to pay Gon's dinner. He eats like a pig. I would go bankrupt. I'm glad we ended up reaching the end at the same time.' I thought before I heard something from the instructor.

"You all have to be careful not to be fooled by the Milsy Wetlands, also known as Swindler's Swamp." He said.

Suddenly, an injured man appeared while claiming to be the examineer, he was holding a monster that had the same face of an examineer. Hisoka seeing this, made a move. He attacked both the examineers with his card but ended up only killing the fake one.

"All of the examineers are experienced Hunters and should be able stop my attack easily." He said.

'I would have done the same. It was quite obvious that a experienced Hunter would be able defend himself against that type of attack.' I thought.

"I will take that as a compliment, examinee. However, should you try to make a move again, you are going to be disqualified." The instructor said before he began to walk in front.

After he said that, I continued to follow after him. After a few minutes walking and I saw many of the examinees being lost to the swamp.

'I have to admit that seeing examinees getting eaten by huge monsters is quite amusing.' I smiled before I saw that the instructor began to increase his speed.

So I was forced to increase mine too. However, there was one things bothering me.

'I shouldn't have brought this suit. My new suit is ruined with mud.' I shaked my head.

(You should wear other things besides suits. While Onee-chan likes to see you in suits, seeing Mitsu-kun in other outfits must be amazing. Imaginating your cute face in other suits... Oops, I'm getting wet.) Right after she said this, I decided to ignore her before she continues to say weird things.

Looking around me, I saw Hisoka diverging from the normal route.

'Hmm. It should be now that he will play the examiner with Gon. I might as well go and see how strong Hisoka truly is.' I thought, at this moment, a bunch of idiots began to follow Hisoka.

"They are digging their own grave." I commented.

Vergo looked at where I was paying attention and asked.

"Are you going to follow them, to watch the show?"

"Obviously." I said before following behind them.

After a few minutes, with me and Vergo following their trail, I jumped on a tree so that I could watch the show.

'Aww, damn. We got here halfway through.' I thought when I saw Hisoka decapitating the heads of those fools. 'But seeing Hisoka beheading them with a card is quite a show.'

At this moment, I could see that Leorio and Kurapika encountered Hisoka. Then they looked at each other before running at separate directions. After a few seconds of this, Leorio, like an idiot turned around. After more seconds of this cat and mouse play, Hisoka was almost done playing with Leorio when a fishing rod suddenly interrupted Hisoka.

Leorio then decided to try and stop Hisoka before he reached Gon. Bad decision, I'd say. Hisoka simply counter-attacked by giving him a uppercut, knocking him unconscious. This ended up with Gon being chocked by Hisoka.

"It is almost time for me to appear and see how strong he truly is." I said before jumping down the tree.

Then I crouched and took my Doom Bringer out. I aimed it at his head and pulled the trigger.

*Bang*.

As if he felt it, he released Gon and dodged the bullet that was directed to his head.

"You know, I can't allow you to kill Gon." I said after I got up.

"You don't have to worry about that. He passed. He and the other one on the ground, both passed. This year's Hunters are something else." Hisoka commented.

"Unfortunately. I can't let you leave after you hurt one of my friends." That was what I said, while in my head I was thinking. 'In reality, I just want to fight him.' Then I stored the gun before dashing at him and starting a barrage of punches.

While I did this, Hisoka dodged them all effortlessly. Jumping, I gave his head a strong kick. To which, he simply grabbed my leg. This made me pull my gun out and shoot at his head. However, he only pushed my leg up and made me miss the shot.

After that, he punched me but suddenly, Vergo appeared and took the hit for me. This made both of us be sent flying. After we hit the ground and got up, I told Vergo. "Take the left while I take the right." I did not even needed to see if he understood what I meant before dashing.

Our coordination was almost perfect but Hisoka was still dodging all of the punches, kicks and hits. Anything we threw at him, he would dodge and counter it perfectly. Hisoka is on another level in experience, strength and intelligence.

Then we backed away since I was a little tired and Vergo too, however, Hisoka did not even broke a sweat. Suddenly, I saw that Hisoka's cellphone began to ring. After he picked it up, I heard this. "We are almost at the end of the first phase." The voice was from Illumi.

"I'll be there." Hisoka said before he rang off and made a crazy face. "It isn't the right time for we to fight, yet. You aren't ready. In the future you will turn into a wonderful warrior. However you are not ready." After he said that, he released immense amounts of bloodlust.

When I felt it, I could't move and ended up falling on my knees with wide eyes. 'What is this? What is this feeling? Is this... Fear? Am I feeling fear? For the first time in my life, I am fearing someone and yet, I am so excited. I want to fight him so badly. But my body won't move. Damnit!' At this moment, my body started giving up.

I could feel my legs shaking and my consciousness fading.
