Behind the Enemy's Lines.

'It has been a day since I was "captured" by the Phantom Troupe. They regularly went out on missions trying to find Chrollo's location. But it was to no avail. I made sure to leave a network of hideouts for my family to hide and I gave them specific orders not to engage against the Spiders until the hostage exchange happened. Right now, the only ones that were inside the hideout are Machi, Pakunoda and Franklin.

Speaking of him, Franklin rarely leaves, after all, he is the one who is in the worst shape. Not like I can talk. They haven't been exactly kind to me, my body is filled with bruises and bloody spots. For some reason, Machi really likes to punch me. Well, I spend most of my time mocking her, so it is understandable.

While my body is in a bad condition, this is just on the outside. By now, my strings have finished healing all of my internal damage, so all my organs and bones are fine. This means that I am in fighting shape, if I wanted, I could escape from the hideout, however, I need Machi to join me voluntarily.

And with her help, I will be able to make Shizuku become a member too. If I don't get her on the boat, Shizuku will probably kill herself before I can do anything. And even if I resurrect her, with Devil Pieces, she will probably go against me and turn into a stray.

For the 6 months that I spent training on the Zoldyck family, I not only trained but also plotted. All so that I could get Shizuku and Machi in my family and, at the same time, deal a heavy blow to the Spider. Luckily, the key to get them on my side is near me.' I looked at Pakunoda. "Fufufufufufufu. By the end of the week you will die."

Realizing that I was talking to her, Pakunoda looked at me right in the eyes. But we couldn't continue our staring contest because Machi flipped out and punched me again. But I did not let her punch get in my way. "You are thinking that you will be the last one, aren't you? You already know your fate, and yet, you don't fight against it. However, you are wrong in one thing. As long as I live, you will not be the last one." I smiled.

Pakunoda opened her eyes widely. "You truly are too smart for your own good." She commented.

"If you join me, I will be able to save you, though. What do you say?" I proposed.

"No. I'm loyal to Chrollo." She said.

"Fufufufufufufu. It is your loss, then. I was even thinking of finding you a doctor to fix your nose. With a decent surgeon, you might not look like Pinocchio's mother. Hey, hey. When you lie does your nose grow too? Or is it natural?" I sneered.

This time, instead of receiving a punch from Machi, I received a roundhouse kick right in the head from Pakunoda, which, for some reason, hurt less than Machi's punches.

"Mocking a girl for her appearance is really rude, don't you know that? Normally I wouldn't beat a kid, however, you are an exception." She said.

"You have claws... I liked it. Are you sure that you don't want to join me?" I proposed once more.

"My answer is still no." She said.

"It is a shame... hey, Machi, I want to tell you something." I turned to her.

" I don't want to hear anything from you." She said.

"Fufufu. Are you sure? If you don't the Spider will die."

"I don't believe you." She crossed her arms.

"I only want to tell you a couple of words. Besides, its not like I can escape. Not when there are 3 persons, and a 4th one, hiding behind me." I lied.

At this moment, Nobunaga showed himself and said. "You truly are a monster. Even without En you were able of knowing that I was there."

I ignored him and asked. "What is it going to be? Are you gonna risk it or not?" With a teasing smile.

'Machi, you are too soft. You are going to take it because you know that if there is even a remote chance that I can stop the death of your comrades, you are capable of doing anything for it.' And as I thought, Machi came closer and leaned so that I vould whisper in her ear.

I told her a couple of sentences before licking her ear, in response, I, obviously, received a punch in the face.

"What did he told you?" Nobunaga asked.

"It was the same bullshit as always." Machi answered.

'She fell for it.' I smiled.

A day later. The day of the hostage exchange.

'The day finally came and Pakunoda was the one escorting me with Gon and Killua. Both of them were free while I was wrapped in chains.' I shaked my head.

After seeing the situation I was in, they helped me move for a while. After distanciating from the rest of the Spiders... "Thank you Gon, Killua." I told them before I broke the chains. "I don't need to pretend anymore." I talked to myself while I began to stretch. "I feel much better."

"How? We didn't feed you and Machi beat you up regularly. You were supposed to be full of injuries." Pakunoda was flabbergasted.

"Even if you did not fed me for a month, I would be fine. Besides, I have no injuries. I only had them in the first 12 hours, however, I healed myself." I told her while I passed my hand on my face.

After this, my face went back to normal. After stretching my body and my neck, I said. "It really feels good to be back to normal."

'I shouldn't be able to move for more time, since I overused his Nen technique...' I wondered.

(I helped you and used your Nen with your threads to heal you up. Before I lost control of your body, I used Post-Mortem Nen and healed you, if I hadn't done that, you would stay in bed for more than a month to compensate for the increase in power that you had. Do not get used to this. I can only do it once. I exhausted myself by doing that.) She warned me.

'I'm very thankful for that. Relax, I don't plan on doing it again. While I love you and believe that you would help me if I did it again, I don't want to depend on you. Besides having a woman control my body is weird. Even if is you.' I suddenly had goosebumps.

Then, I looked at Pakunoda and saw a flash of worry in her eyes. "You don't need to worry. I will be your company in the hostage exchange, after all, I have no interest in keeping Chrollo, neither in killing him. To be honest, the longer he keeps Hisoka busy, the better. Besides your clock is ticking, soon you will die." I commented.

"What do you mean by that?" Gon asked.

"Pakunoda made a deal with Kurapika, however, she will break it knowing that she is going to die for it and still, willingly doing it." I said.

"You saw right through me." She said in a surprised voice.

'Huff. She truly is predictable. But even in death, she will help me.' I thought before I lifting an arm and asked. "Can I be in your company for the last walk of your life?" I saw her eyes widen in surprise before she accepted it.

That way, me and her were walking with our arms interlocked. Like a true gentleman, I escorted her until we finally arrived at the airport, where we were going to exchange hostages.

When Ponzu and Menchi saw me, they became surprised since I'm just walking together with the enemy. I walked as if I didn't cared for anything. "Pakunoda, I will see you later on." I released her arm and walked in front.

Like that, I reached the end and entered inside an airship.

"It is time to go home?" Vergo asked.

"Home? Where is this home?" Menchi asked.

"Ehm. I also don't know. You never took us to our base." Ponzu said.

"Not yet. There is only one thing left for us to do before we can go back home."
