Awakening

"Little Shuang, wake up! Today is your birthday!"

Li Qiu's voice echoed from the other room. Shen Wushuang's eyes fluttered open only to realize that his body didn't feel weak anymore, a smile crept over his face and the confidence he always kept within him started radiating off his body.

Over these 7 years, the true cause of his sickness was a strange phenomenon in his body. It was his Void Realm Bloodline awakening. The Void Realm Bloodline gives 2 special God eyes called the Ji Eyes and the Shi Eyes and both the eyes are connected to miniature realms called the Ji Realm and Shi Realm. Another ability of the bloodline is to awaken his God Body, the God Body is unrestricted by the laws of the universe and when it is activated each of his attacks allow him to surpass his own cultivation realm.

The 2 miniature realms in his body are also one of a kind, the lands are split between the Ji Realm and Shi Realm, one represents destruction while the other represents life. The Ji Realm's land is completely shattered and desolate with red lightning, which he calls Chaos Lightning, continuously striking the land. In contrast, the Shi Realm's land is just a mountain range, forest, and ocean but everything within the Shi Realm permeated a strong aura of the essence. The influence of the Shi Realm increased his comprehension to a level beyond that any children of the heavens could accomplish.

The left Ji Eyes are connected to the Ji Realm and allow him to send the Chaos Lightning as both a soul attack or a physical attack. The right Shi Eye is connected to the Shi Realm increasing his comprehension of everything around him and a strange connection to samsara and destiny.

This shocking talent was the reason he is so confident. There is a library in the Shi Realm that when he glances over it with the Shi Eye, it gets stored in the Shi Realm Library so he can go back and read it. When he first became sick and his Eye Realm Bloodline was awakening the first thing to appear in the Shi Realm was the library. He was already able to when he was read when he was 5 years old and so he started going through all the books and understood what his situation was.

Surprisingly there is only one scripture directly related to cultivation and it is called the Myriad Ten Divine Arts. The description was:

Myriad Ten Divine Arts- A cultivation scripture that cultivates all 10 elements: Red Fire, Blue Water, Brown Earth, Cyan Wind, Silver Lightning, Green Wood, Purple Gu, Grey Spatial, Black Time, and Gold Soul. All Spells and Martial Arts are available to one who cultivates this ability.

Everyone who cultivated knew that a person had one innate element and during the Inner Essence Realm they had to find what scripture was suitable for them. The Inner Essense Stage is about understanding and comprehending their cultivation technique and after the Inner Essense Stage if one changed their technique then they would develop a Cultivation Demon and their cultivation will eventually lead to Qi Deviation and death.

A cultivation technique and innate element determine the supplementary cultivation techniques, spells, and martial arts the person is allowed to use.

So seeing the Myriad Ten Divine Arts so blatantly undermined the rule that a cultivator can only have one element was shocking to him. He previously wanted to tell his parents about this but every time he tried to say something his body would become increasingly hot and he would pass out.

Eventually, he stopped trying to tell anyone and simply focused on living his life while his body fully awakened his bloodline. He read every book in the library and for some reason even though he couldn't cultivate the Martial Arts, Spells, and Cultivation Techniques he has read were completely comprehended by him. If others knew about this they would go insane as people have spent their entire lives comprehending the essence of 1 or 2 Scriptures but Shen Wushuang unraveled their mysteries even before he started cultivation.

Shen Wushuang's mind complied all of his thoughts and memories that he has had over these last 7 years. He knew that his parents suffered and went through many hardships because of him but he had full confidence that not only will he win back their face, he would make up for these past 7 years of suffering they had to go through.

He walked into the room where he found his mom and dad, and why they saw his shining face devoid of the sickness that was stalking him for 7 years they were completely astonished.

They ran up to him touching his forehead to see if there was any heat but they felt nothing as if he had never been sick in the first place.

Li Qiu's eyes welled up with tears of joy and Shen Guo had a face of pure pride. Everyone believed that their son would die before he got better and everyone was proven wrong.

Shen Guo looked at his son then ran out the door before he left he said "Let me get the Doctor to examine him to see if there are any more complications. We have to be completely sure that he is cured or else something... unexpected might happen."

An hour after he left the Doctor who first came to diagnose Shen Wushuang's condition walked inside. The Doctor was shocked to see Shen Wushuang in such perfect condition, although his constitution couldn't compare to the kids who have already cultivated, for a normal 13-year-old child his strength was above average.

The Doctor found nothing out of the ordinary and turned to the parents "He... he is completely fine as if nothing ever happened to him. I have to go report my sudden absence to the clan so I will take my leave."

The Doctor suddenly spoke in a weird tone and his face was anything but calm, almost like he was looking at a monster. Although the parents wanted to ask what happened they didn't want to bring more trouble so they let the Doctor leave.

Li Qiu clearly tears of joy flooded her face, like a giant wave crashing the shores of an ocean, turned to Shen Wushuang and said "You have been cured and it's your birthday! We will go to Grandma Lei's Dumpling Cart and celebrate!"

In the entire Shen Clan, no one would dare say they can make better dumplings than Grandma Lei could. Most of the clan members were jealous of Shen Wushuang's family due to Grandma Lei's obvious favorability towards them.

The rest of the day went like a flash, first the Dumpling Cart then they went to a play about an immortal hero. Then they went to the lake nearby and Shen Wushuang had a little swim with his new healthy body with his parents still not believing after 7 years of suffering their son was now healthy.

The end of the day came too quickly for the family and so they dejectedly ended their day and went to sleep. No... Shen Wushuang's parents went to sleep while Shen Wushuang stayed awake, and there is only one reason he stayed awake... to cultivate!
