The battle raged on. Ryan, utilizing his agility, dodged spells and caused destruction with his black energy blasts. Cecil, a perfect dance of frost and ice, dominated the now turned-battlefield. Her every movement was imbued with chilling power that froze spells mid-cast, shattered shields, and encased mages in crystal prisons.
One by one, the mages fell. Yet, their desperation fueled their attacks, making them relentless. A stray bolt of lightning grazed Ryan's shoulder, sending a jolt of pain through him. He ignored it, the adrenaline coursing through his veins dulling the sensation.
But even Cecil's ability wasn't without limits. A rogue fireball, propelled by a desperate mage, caught her off guard. It slammed into her left arm, the impact sending her staggering back. A grunt, sharp and feral, escaped her lips as the flames burnt her skin.
