One hour to the beast tide.

The sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and red. The imposing wall of Azkai cast longshadows that stretched across the newly built town made on the western side of the city.

This town, a reside for the influx of wall builders who decided to remain within Azkai's protective embrace, now stood on the edge of a terrifying border.

However, the most captivating scene was atop the massive wall itself.

nearly a hundred Vanguard soldiers, all in their CPWs, stood shoulder to shoulder. Their faces, pale with a mix of nervous anticipation and steely resolve, were illuminated by the dying embers of the sun.

The rhythmic rasp of their breaths and the frantic pounding of their hearts seemed to create a grim tune, in a sense, a counterpoint to the inevitable battle.
