Chapter 2

After she discovered that her child was alive, her whole soul began to live again. As surging life force came back to her body and invigorate her thoroughly. She held the baby in her arms with love and care of a mother.

'Hmmm... I'm guessing that this woman is my mother... She... She felt warm...'

Jade was startled when she felt being carefully carried and gently hugged by someone.

As Luisa looked at the baby's eyes a gleam of greenish light fleetingly flashed all of a sudden.

"Jade?"

"That's right I'm going to name you Jade."

Luisa muttered unconsciously.

'Yeah, that's a good name. That my name... he he he'

"Jade, my baby Jade..."

She said and lovingly kissed and hugged her baby.

Five months later...

Time went by so fast, the life of both mother and daughter has slowly changed.

Luisa started to work as a cashier in a small grocery store in that small town. Since she is really smart and though her circumstance wasn't favorable for her, but still her charms remains.

She always carry Jade with her, who unknown to her mother can already now see in just after three days after birth. Though Jade has a very strong inner spiritual energy, she cannot freely use it. She understood that if she carelessly use her power, her body will be hurt as a result. Because of this she felt dejected, but she discovered something. Her energy can slowly strengthen what's inside her body. It can heal her wounds in a slow rate, but no matter what happened as long as she didn't die in and instant, she'll just heal herself back slowly.

So her only choice is to nourish her body and bones with precise control of her inner spiritual energy to gradually grow stronger.

This discovery made her happy, if she can do this every day, her body will become as strong as steel after 30 years. It will take too long because there are no available spiritual energy in the area, and she have to rely on controlling the output of her own energy as she revolves it within her body.

As the months go by, her body albeit just a baby, becomes really sturdy but she became fat and too cute.

One day, just like any other day. Luisa came to work early carrying Jade in a baby carrying sling. The day goes as usual as people after people can be seen going in and out of the convenience store. Everything looks normal but, because of her strong intuition, Jade noticed some people on the other side of the road watching the store. Three men are in a corner and one of them is sitting on a motorcycle.

When Jade saw the lecherous look on one of the men's eyes, she knew who their target was. It's not possible that it's her, thought she knows she is a beauty, but that would be in the future. Tilting her head she look at the beautiful mature woman behind her and can't help but admire her own mother.

That night after her work shift, Luisa carefully carried Jade, who pretended to be asleep. Jade had her gut feeling telling her that those men will act anytime soon. So inside her baby clothes small pocket lays 5 pieces of .25 cents. Which she secretly took from the extra change box in the counter.

'I can't wait for those people to act. At least I can test how strong my little body is.'

Jade felt her blood boiling with excitement. In her old world, fighting was a common occurrence, the strong rules and the weak ones perish. And in that world she was the strongest until her ascension to heaven.

Luisa was walking for a while now and she is nearing their old dilapidated little house, but no shadow of the bad guys can be seen. Now the excitement in Jade's heart died down. Though she felt relief that no trouble will befall upon them, but deep in her heart she wanted it to happen.

And so her wish came true.

After Luisa turns into a corner, a bulky man stood in front of her, which startled the later.

"Hello, Miss! It's already night time where are you going?"

The bulky guy asked with an evil glint in his eyes. He slowly raise his hand to intending to touch Luisa's hair. But upon seeing this she immediately turns around to run. But two other men appear out of nowhere and blocked her path. So she didn't have any choice but to run in another direction. She was scared because there are no people in this area. Though in the morning vehicles pass by in this place, but at night seldom walks through this path.

As she was running, the three men just leisurely followed. In their faces a feeling of confidence can be seen, as if they knew that she cannot escape their grasp. Then Jade with her sharp sense pick up their conversation.

"Hey, the woman said that we can do what we want with this one right?"

"Umn. But I will go first."

The man wearing a cap said in a deep voice.

Upon hearing this, Jade face changes from being cute to being serious. But no matter how she try she still would look adorable in other people's eyes.

'You dare to scheme in from of me? I'll teach you a lesson that you'll never forget.'

A burning fire seem to appear in her cute little eyes.

Luisa have been running for some time now, then she arrived near a crossing and an abandoned junk shop can be seen on the other side. So she decided to hide there, but when she turn around she can see the three men already running towards her. Although it is dark she can see the perverted look in their eyes as they neared her. As she saw this she felt like her soul left her body and almost slump on the ground.

"Is this how I would die?"

Luisa muttered as if she already give up on hope. Holding her daughter in her arms, she look at her and saw that her daughter was asleep without a care. A smile blooms on her mouth as she slowly kissed her daughter's forehead.

"No matter what happened mommy will protect you with her life. Okay!"

Upon hearing this, Jade who pretends to be asleep was shaken. In all her life no one ever sacrificed their life for her. Even in the last heavenly war it was her who offer her life just to end the war. Albeit she knows its temporary but still peace can reign for millennia with what she have done. She touch the warm hand holding her and felt the love of a mother in it.

Now that it comes to this she decided to make her move. So she carefully extends one of her hand and in her finger a small coin is pinched. Then with all her concentration she tried to adjust her spiritual power to the lowest value she can muster and flicked the coin.

A burst of pain assaulted her senses as her index finger was badly mangled. She felt that all the bones in that finger are broken to powder. But she didn't stop there, because if she did she knows her mother will suffer from getting raped by three evil guys. So using her other fingers she flicked two more coins. After doing that, tears can't help but fall from Jade's eyes as an excruciating pain coming from 3 of her fingers bombarded her consciousness.

Although resigned to her fate, Luisa still fear what would happen and would try to plead for mercy, even just for her child. But when she lifted her face, she saw something and her eyes can't help but went wide in disbelief.
