The Lucky Box.

I approached the Leprechaun and spoke softly.

"Hello sir, can I buy a lucky box?"

He looked at me for a while, seeming to see beyond my hidden physical features.

"A hybrid being of rare and strong species, even if not awakened..."

He murmured and smiled at me.

"Sure, you want a box, right?"

"Here it is, now pay."

I handed over my last gold coins and took the box.

The box had a golden appearance with a shiny touch.

As I observed it and felt some strange power, I also read its description.

---

Item: Lucky Box

Type: Chest

Rank: ????

Description: A box given by a special goblin, no one knows where the goblin comes from or what's inside the box. Not even the Leprechaun himself. Whether it's luck or misfortune, you will have to find out.

---

I looked to the side intending to thank him, but he had already vanished, leaving only a bit of confetti or glitter in the air.

I was a little surprised, but not too much, and went to a secluded place to open my box.

Sitting near a tree, I opened the box, and soft lights came out from inside, along with some items.

The items were in carefully crafted glass bottles and seemed to be something like potions, totaling 4. Three had a crystalline blue liquid that gave the impression of something cold and icy, while one had a mysterious green liquid that seemed to touch the laws of the world.

Seeing the bottles, I decided to read the description of the 3 blue ones first.

Item: Ice Potion

Type: Throwing potion.

Rank: Unique.

Effect: When thrown, it will freeze enemies in a 5-meter area for at least 5 seconds.

Description: A potion created by the alchemist subclass, great for freezing enemies.

---

When I saw the effect, I was happy and surprised for two reasons.

The first was that it was my first unique item in the game.

Keeping in mind that items, like skills, generally have these basic classifications: normal, unique, rare, epic, and legendary. Beyond these, theoretically, there should be higher, intermediate, or some special ones.

The other reason was the type; in the shop, there were only support potions like detox, HP, and MP. So this type of potion was surprising.

However, the next potion shocked me completely.

Item: A Sip of Luck.

Type: Drinking potion.

Rank: ???

Effect:

When taken, it gives a luck increase for 3 hours (increasing the chance of fortuitous encounters or better loot).

It can give 1 to 5 points of luck permanently.

Description: An extremely rare potion that contains a stroke of luck. Its creation method is unknown, and it is said that this potion can attract and cause conflicts even among kings or species leaders. Drink and see how lucky you will be.

---

Just the fact that its rank had question marks showed its rarity. I particularly wanted to consume it now, given the permanent effect, but decided against it due to the first effect. I preferred to save it for an appropriate moment and with that decision made, I stored the 4 bottles in my inventory, very happy and satisfied.

I soon stood up and left with a bright and beautiful smile that caught the attention of NPCs and players who began to blush at the sight of the smile.

But I didn't pay attention and went to the hunting field.

...

I arrived at the hunting field, a large plain with low foliage in green and yellow colors appeared before me. There, various players could be seen, most wearing clothes similar to mine but with some distinct colors, given that my outfit was different since I changed race.

There I saw human players, elves, dwarves, and some beastkind with certain animal characteristics visible.

Most players were alone, but some were in small groups. Probably because it was the initial field, there is a lot of players who were playing solo.

I saw some shooting magical arrows with staffs, others using swords to pierce enemies' heads, spears, bows, axes, and others.

As for the enemies, they were chickens the size of a relatively large dog with sharp iron beaks that seemed more dangerous than the players' weapons, but they seemed quite stupid, as the players could dodge them.

Of course, not all, as it was still possible to see some players being pierced by the sharp beaks and even some dying and turning into points of light, sometimes leaving bread or something on the ground.

In the beginner village, upon dying, the individual would immediately respawn, but outside here it wasn't like that since it was said that players would be evaluated in the Underworld for a time before respawning.

And here it wasn't just the monsters that were the problem.

"Hey, that chicken was mine!! Get lost!"

"It was yours, I saw it first!"

"A you little!!"

And arrows and weapons were exchanged between the players, and with that, they started killing each other, and no player interfered. This also happened in some other places, though not as frequently.

Seeing all this, I decided to delve deeper into the field.

And after a long time walking, when I finally saw no more players, which took a while since some players had the same thought as me,

I decided to stop.

And I looked at my first enemy, who was happily eating a piece of grass.

The only problem was that this chicken was the highest level for my first enemy.

---

Monster: Iron Beak Chicken

Lvl 4 HP: 100% MP: 100%

Description: A chicken happily eating grass, but its beak can easily pierce stones. Be careful not to have your sword broken by its beak.

---

It was level 4, which made it a tough enemy for me at level 1, but with my slightly elevated status, I still decided to try.

Something I noticed and expected was that there was very little profile description, no long information about it, something expected since the game planned to be more realistic and give more freedom to the player and, at the same time, more challenges.

I carefully observed it, it still didn't seem to have noticed me as it was happily eating grass and even seemed to find a worm.

I held my whip in my right hand and the wand in my left.

And when I saw it move to another piece of grass and peck at it,

I moved my wand and activated a magic arrow.

A blue mana arrow formed at the tip of the wand, and with my command, it flew towards the chicken.
