Thus, I understood the mission and at the same time pondered the complexity of understanding basic elemental magic of all six elements. Even at a likely not-so-high level of complexity, it should not be easy and will certainly be a reasonable and useful advantage. This also made me curious about the other magical fields I might use in the future.
At that moment, I heard Levi's voice.
"Master. This circle will transport you to the gates of magic. Each gate unlocks its own skill tree, giving you access to a magical field. Of course, like any skill tree, specific conditions are required to unlock the skills."
"The same applies to the gates. Each gate will have its own mission and unique conditions to be unlocked. As a special reward for becoming the heir of the primordial mage, two elements will be given as gifts. For now, enter the circle, and I will explain more on the other side."
I listened to what he said, nodded my head, and slowly walked to the center of the circle. Once there, the usual game notification screen appeared in front of me.
<Basic Elemental Magic Gate>
<Secondary Elemental Magic Gate>
<Space-Time Magic Gate>
<Life and Death Magic Gate>
...
...
However, aside from the first gate, where a golden light covered the name, all the others were greyed out, indicating that the option was locked. I could also see a huge number of gate names, presumably all related to different magical fields.
Since I couldn't click on the others nor had any specific descriptions, I simply clicked directly on the elemental magic option.
I immediately felt the energies of water, fire, wind, earth, light, and darkness envelop me and transport me from that location to another environment.
..
When I opened my eyes, I found myself in the center of a hall surrounded by six beautiful doors, each emitting the energy of its respective element. One door was a vivid red with a burnt black hue and symbols of small salamanders or similar creatures. Another had a greenish tone with light white and symbols of a wolf or a similar animal. Another door was a mix of light blues and silvers inlaid with fish and something like mermaids. Another was brown and clay-colored with symbols of animals like worms and moles.
The remaining two, one had a clear and beautiful yellow color with a lion symbol and some small birds, and the last was darker than life, with a slight jewel-like black hue, featuring images of snakes and scorpions.
Each door transmitted its elemental energy through its colors, and I observed them all with curiosity and interest. Besides these doors, there was nothing specific inside the entire space, even though it seemed like such a large area.
At that moment, I heard Levi's voice.
"Master, these are the gates of basic elemental magic. Choose two that you like the most; the others you will be able to use when you grow in power."
Hearing her voice, I carefully observed the doors and directed myself to the most obvious door that would facilitate and help me survive based on one of my races.
Of course, the first door I chose was the water door.
I touched it, and the notification appeared in front of me.
<You selected the water elemental magic gate, as it is your privilege. Do you wish to open first gate?>
I did not hesitate and immediately answered, and as soon as I affirmed, water covered my body, and I felt even more connected to water. Simultaneously, my mana received an additional effect, and I could slightly sense a new and different trait from usual while another energy, one that seemed to emanate from my soul since I changed class, covered my body and seemed to perfectly merge the water energy with my mana.
<The water magic gate has been opened>
<Water Mage Skill Tree (modified) has been infused into your current skill tree>
<Your title of Heir the Primordial Mage has been updated. 50% resistance to water attacks and magic added as a new option>
I was surprised by the second effect that increased the power of my title... should I live in the ocean now?
As a random thought crossed my mind, I opened my skill tree to see what I could unlock for now.
<Water Mage Skill Tree: The individual becomes capable of using water magic and manipulating it>
After that, I opened the same tree and observed the skills I could unlock. Some skills had no criteria or conditions to be unlocked, while others required gold coins. Of course, many skills had more complex criteria related to items, levels, and other aspects.
I unlocked what I could for now.
<Skill: Water Bubble unlocked>
<Skill: Water Wall unlocked>
Besides these two, I observed the skills I had before opening the gate itself, but for now, I couldn't unlock any, even though some might become possible with some effort and search.
Regardless, I decided to read the new descriptions of my two skills and do a small test.
---
**Skill: Water Bubble**
- **Rank:** Class
- **Type:** Active
- **Effect:** Creates a sphere of water with offensive and defensive potential.
- **Type of Consumption:** MP
- **Description:** A water sphere that acts as a versatile and powerful means. When thrown, it has the power of a punch or a bullet. It can also be used as a small shield.
---
**Skill: Water Wall**
- **Rank:** Class
- **Type:** Active
- **Effect:** Condense the water in front of you and create a protective water wall.
- **Type of Consumption:** MP
- **Description:** There's nothing better for defense than a water wall, but be careful. It has its benefits but also risks; after all, it's water, not metal.
---
After reading the descriptions, I opened my eyes to the interior of the water gate, and inside, I saw a field of blue crystals on the floor, with a field of water covering the same.
On the ground, there were lakes, rivers, and ponds of different sizes, and in the distance, I saw an area covered with mist, and behind it, I could see a sea.
I observed everything with curiosity and then heard the sound of taps and whispers coming from Levi.
"Look, my master. The Water Mage's Library."
When he spoke with a magical spell, water bubbles appeared, and from them, I saw shelves upon shelves emerging from the water sources. The shelves were made of pure water, and the same applied to the books on them. Although made of water, they were completely solid.
"This area is more selective, focused on insights related to the water element or magic in this field."
I nodded my head, and for now, I decided not to touch the books and went to the center of a large lake.
My feet stepped into the lake, and upon contact with the water, the eyes of the whale-like aquatic race stood out.
I took out my whip and wand.
Pointing the wand in the air, I used my first skill.
A water ball formed in front of me, the size of a basketball, and with a forward movement, the ball flew in the air and hit an ice dummy that had appeared with Levi's help.
The dummy broke like a training toy.
"Good effect so far... reasonable destructive and offensive capacity."

After I did that, I moved my wand again, and after my mana appeared in front of me, a wall 5 meters high and 5 meters wide appeared, with reasonable density. The wall of water elements seemed stable and had reasonable defensive capabilities.
As a form of test with a cute sparkle from Levi, an ice arrow appeared in the air with more width and power than I expected, and it was immediately launched at the water wall. The wall vibrated as if it would break and rippled like river waves, but somehow it withstood and did not break completely.
"Good defense."
Satisfied with the effects of the two skills, I decided to play a bit more with my wand to manipulate water and create water in different forms for 15 minutes, taking the opportunity to manipulate my mana in other ways and with a new property.
