CHAPTER 19: MONITORING BARBARA
Evelyn got to her office went inside and then looked for something but then she didn't see so she left with Dimitri following after her without saying a word.
Once they left the office and got to the parking lot,she stopped and Dimitri also stopped as he waited for her instructions.His boss seemed abit cold,it could be because of what happened with her best friend getting married and not telling her but making it known to the whole world.
It wasn't like his boss would steal miss Barbara's husband so he couldn't understand why she would keep it from her friend.He was still trying to figure out the whole situation in his head when he heard his boss calling him which snapped him out of his thoughts.
"Dimitri"Evelyn called for the 4th time
"Ma".Dimitri answered
" whatever your thinking in your head don't,Barb would never get married without telling me"Evelyn said as she looked at him "I've known her for a very long time".
Dimitri felt like his boss could suddenly read minds,how did she know what he was thinking about, and was this self denial??
"The reason i didn't say anything in my office was because if i did more people would know the assignment am giving you".Evelyn said as she thought about how her office might've also been wiretapped.
"I want you to follow my best friend,her husband and her parents,report anything unusual to me and make sure your discreet about it"
"Yes ma"Dimitri couldn't get why his boss still wanted to monitor her best friend but he couldn't question his boss anyways.
"You may leave"Evelyn said as she leaned on her car.
Once Dimitri was gone she got into her car and made a phone call.
"Have you done everything i asked you to?"Evelyn asked coldly
"Yup i prepared the wedding gift you talked about"the voice asked
"and what about Barbara?"Evelyn asked
"i thought you asked the assistant to follow her"He asked
"well i trust you more and since she doesn't know about you,i want her to feel safe that someone is actually checking on her best friend ".Evelyn said
"Well am following her already".The person on the other line replied
"Status "Evelyn asked as she stared at her newly done nails
"well your best friend..."The voice began but was cut off by Evelyn
"Not my best friend Virus".
"Well I've sent the info to your phone not this one"Virus replied
"Okay"Evelyn said and ended the call.

Virus stared at the call that had been ended already."Seriously not even a thank you".
Seer and Duchess who were also in the room stared at him and laughed.
"Are you surprised by that?"Seer asked as she peered at him from the novel she was reading
"Am guessing he expects her to say 'thank you virus,your so sweet' "Duchess said sarcastically as she laughed
"Hey guys don't forget that today is someone's birthday "Virus said as he stared at Seer who looked unconcerned
"Yeah yeah by someone you mean Hades?"Duchess asked
"Who else?"Virus said as he rolled his eyes at her,still staring at her.
"you know Virus i can feel your eyes boring holes through my skin".Seer said still not taking her eyes off her book
"Let's surprise him".Virus said as he smiled
"Not going".Seer said
"you know you want to,you guy's haven't seen for some time now and i know you miss him". Virus said
"I won't "Seer replied as she dropped her book on the table, breathed in heavily and picked the book up again
"Stop trying to push my friend into doing thing's she wants to but shouldn't". Duchess said as she stared at Seer who wasn't looking at her book.She couldn't believe this girl.
"you know Seer you can see him one last time before giving up".
"I can?"Seer asked smiling pitifully
"Don't stare at me in that manner,you can go"Duchess said as she walked towards seer and rubbed her hair
"Thanks Duch your a great friend".Seer said
"Yeah i know".Duchess replied as they both laughed.
