Arrival

6 years later.

I watch as the baggage carousels go as I looked at the red suitcase go down the carousel, getting to us. I was in an airport on an island for a wedding, I had been in a plane for 10 hours and had been at work for 10 hours with no more than 3 hours of sleep in between, at least I have gotten a little sleep not much maybe 4 hours on the plane at the most.

I pulled the suitcase off the carousel.

"Can you believe it, I'm getting married!" Willow said for the hundredth time over the past 10 hours.

"Yes, you are." I placed the suitcase on the cart.

"Okay that's the last one, let's go get the car so we can get the resort." I grabbed the cart and started to go to the exit.

"I'm so excited." Willi was basically jumping as we walked.

"Yes, and I'm so excited for you."

Ever since that mixer at the fraternity Willi and Josh had been together, meaning throughout college I had to endure having Beckham around, I kinda got used to him after a short period. He was a big player but when you got a little deeper, then he was actually a good friend and guy, deeeep down he didn't have such a big head.

I had a few good conversations with Beck that meant the world to me, but sleeping with him never happening. Not that there were a few times where I was tempted and for his lack of trying, but I never did it because that would just make things completely.

But I did consider him a friend.

I hadn't seen him many times since we graduated from college, where we said goodbye and went our separate way. We had only seen each other a couple for times because of Willi and Josh, but the last time I saw him was 2 years ago at their engagement party. Beckham and I were not not the best friends but we were still on good terms, and sometimes I did miss him but for the most part, I didn't miss him, I think.

I drove, me and Willi to the resort, it took about 2 hours to drive there. We arrived at the resort and check-in, a bellboy helps us with our bags. We got up to the floor where we were standing on, Willow had the suite and I was in my own room.

We when to Willi's room first.

"Okay, that's all your bags, did you really need 5 suitcases for 4 days." I placed her last suitcase on the ground.

"Yes, four days and my wedding, that's like 5 outfits in a day." I turned to the bellboy and handed over a tip.

"Thank you." I smiled at the young guy.

"You not need me to take you to your room?"

"No, I'm okay. You can go back down." I smiled.

He nodded and smiled.

"If you need anything just call down." He left.

I turned back around.

The suite was big with a living room and a bedroom. There was a big balcony looking over the ocean, and the clear blue sky.

"Still, do you need 5 suitcases?" I couldn't help but smile.

"Yes." She said simply.

I shook my head, that's Willow for you, needing 5 big suitcases for 4 days.

"Okay then, I'm gonna head back to my own room and sleep." I grabbed my suitcase that had my bag sitting on it, with a yawn.

"I'll see you later for the dinner."

"Yep, you sleep and I'll find Josh."

I lifted my hand in goodbye.

I left Willi's room and walked down to the other end of the hall, down to my room.

I got to 306 and unlock the door.

I walked in and looked just at the bed, it was a Queen size bed. I dropped on the bed, fell face first, I kicked off my sneakers, and curled my arms under the pillow and closed my eyes, and fell asleep.

I woke up when someone called my name.

"Ox." I opened my eyes slowly then closed them again.

"Octavia." They said louder, I know that voice but where from.

"OCTAVIA." He yelled.

My eyes shot up and I fell out of the bed landing on the floor.

I sat up and looked over the bed, running a hand over my head.

The guy in my room was Beckham.

I got up from the floor.

"Beckham, what are you doing here?"

"What am I doing here? What are you doing here?" He was standing at the end of the bed, he looked just as devilishly handsome if not more since the first day I saw him. He was still 6 feet, his normal curly hair was straight which made me miss the curls, he had some stubbles not much maybe from not shaving for a couple of days, it wasn't too bad it actually made him look good.

"You're in my room. And I was sleeping considering I had maybe 3 hours over the last like, I don't know how many hours."

"Well I'm sorry about that, but this is my room." I narrowed my eyes at him.

"No, it's my room, 306, my room." I crossed my arms.

"Okay, but this is my room."

I ran a hand over my eyes and sighed.

"It can't be, okay." He looked at me, I could see that he was thinking. I know he was thinking because he was biting the inside of his lip. He closed his eyes and let out a deep breath and open them again.

"Okay," He picked up the room phone.

"Hey, it's 306, I have seemed to have a problem, can you tell me who is on the reservation to this room." He listens for a bit. Then closed his eyes.

"Do you have another room available?" He question.

"Okay, thank you, have a good day." He hung up the phone.

"So?" He turned at looked at me.

"You look good Ox." I frown.

"Beck, who's room is it?"

"Oh, it's nice to see you again Beck, long time Beck, how you be Beck." He smirked at his own joke.

"And you didn't understand why I never missed you." That's was a lie, but he didn't need to know.

"I know you missed me. And the room is in both our names." My mouth fell open.

"Nooo. You can't be serious." He shook his head with a smile.

I pulled out my phone and called Willi.

"What are you doing?" Beckham asked.

"I'm not sharing a room with you, so I'm calling Willi." I looked at him.

Willow picked up.

"Hey, how was your nap?"

"Good, that's not why I'm calling. How can it be that both Beckham and mine's name is on the reservation to the same room?"

"What?"

"I am not sharing a room with Beck, Willi."

"Oh, oh okay, um I don't know, Jill has that information, but she here I'll ask her."

"What the problem?" I hear Josh in the back.

"Ox and Beck are in the same room," Willow explained.

"Oh."

"Jill?" Willow said.

"Is there a problem?"

"Um, Octavia and Beckham are in the same room, why?"

"What's happening?" Beckham asked me.

I put the phone on speaker.

"Willow put the phone on speaker," I said.

"Okay, so we had to put together some people in the same rooms," Jill said

"See it was on purpose," Willi said.

"Right, I get that, but I'm not sharing a bed with Beck," I said.

"No offense," I said to Beckham.

"No, there should be two beds there," Jill said.

Beck walked closer.

"Well, there's not," Beck said.

"Oh, dear."

"Can you fix it?" I asked.

"Um, I can look into it but it's gonna take some time," Jill said.

"You two think you can last a couple of hours without killing each other?" Josh asked.

I looked at Beck.

"Sure, I promise to be nice." Beck smiled.

"Okay, good don't be late," Willi said before hanging up.

I throw the phone on the bed.

"Well. Thank you, you don't look too bad yourself." Beck raised his eyebrows, before smirking of me.

"I know." He smirked.

I closed my eyes at his ego.

I let out a slow breath.

"How's New York?"

"Good, how's the sun."

I laughed.

"Great."

He got a cute smile on his face.

"How's the career going."

"Good, for being a photographer. So, you didn't bring the blonde this time?"

His smile fell off.

"Listen,"

"No, it okay, but maybe next time don't bring a girl you don't know to your best friend engagement party."

He let out a breath and nodded his head.

"Yeah, not my finest moment."

"Or a good moment at all." I shook my head

What was I gonna expect from him, he was still the guy I met in college, he hasn't changed one bit.

"I'm gonna take a shower before dinner." I looked the Beckham.

"Okay, can you not take an eternity. I like a shower too, kinda the reason why I came up here." And we back.
