"Scarlet!" Wuxing called out after Scarlet but she ignored him while running towards the balcony. He felt an immediate urge to chase after her but he stopped himself to check on Dongmei. 

"You should go after her," Dongmei commented before he even spoke and assured, "I'm fine, don't worry about me." 

"How can I not worry about you?" Wuxing asked while trying to hold her hand but Dongmei pushed him away. 

"I would be lying if I said that Scarlet's slap in the face didn't affect me, but I'm fine. My mentality has always been strong and obstacles like her are a common occurrence," Dongmei explained as she climbed up to face him. "I'm more worried about you since you were placed in a complicated situation. Just know that I'm not mad at you and I know it's hard for you too." 

"It shouldn't be hard…" Wuxing muttered upset. "You are my future wife and I want to prioritize your happiness."
