Julius Heartly

Romerix made

it just on time. The door to the class room was wide open and the small sign

that hanged next to the door frame said Medicine and Healing. "Sorry sir I was

speaking with the Headmaster." Romerix said breathy. Within the room were four

sets of dull pine long tables with no chairs and the students waiting around

them. Vials and containers were upon the tables. Each vile contained a

different coloured liquid substance and the containers contained a green liquid

substance with different parts of organic matter. From eyeballs and teeth to

little crawling critters of all variety. A couple supply closets were up

against the far wall of the class room.

A large cylinder vial was on the teachers desk top that contained the brain of a

creature and stated Antullo brain on the small tag hanging from string that is

connected to the plastic lid of the vial and another had the head of a six eyed

fowl of some kind and two pieces of white chalk. Behind the desk made from dull

pine was a middle aged man with black hair that is slicked back. A large and

wide toothy grin planted on his face and deep blue hues that compliment his

grinning features. Heartly wore tight

brown trousers. White shirt with two small buttons, a brown coat similar to open

lab coat but of leather material and blacl boots. "Ahh our final student

arriving just on time welcome to the classroom." Heartly said cheerfully. "Please

stand next to one of the tables and we shall get started." Heartly cusped his

hands together with a little chuckle to his eager tone. Romerix shuffled

through the students to stand beside one of the tables. Sera was on the other

side of the table Romerix was standing beside. She gave him a quick and small

wave with a bright smile. Romerix smiled and waved back. Lunai stood

at the head of one of the tables with her arms folded over one another waiting

patiently. Zacharias was at the same table on the right side, leaning upon the

table with his right elbow. Markarius also had his arms folded over one

another. His right fingers were tapping in a rhythmic motion of impatience.

Heartly grabbed one of the pieces of white chalk and turned around swiftly,

writing his name onto the chalk board behind him. "My name is Julius Heartly

but you all may call me Doctor Heartly. "He said with enthusiasm and a wide

grin. "Now what is

on today?...Hmm?" Heartly said out loud to the students while turning back to

his original location, his grin wide and toothy. "uhmm...medicine?" Said one of

the students. Heartly pointed at that student full of enthusiasm. "Exactly! Today you will be learning about

Medicine and its properties!" His grin wide and toothy. Some of the students were

not expecting Julius Heartly to be this energetic. "What a wack job" Markarius

thought to himself. Heartly strolled

over to the supply closet with a skip to his step full of excitement to start

the lesson. "grab some of them, OO! and some of these. Oh yeah duh don't forget

about the gloves either." Heartly said rather giddy. The students exchanged

glances at one another. They didn't know what too make of Julius Heartly. Was

this really how he acted . It wasn't that it was an unpleasant surprise but it

was indeed a nice change from how Bruticus and Solaria are. "He seems...excited". Romerix remarked with a raised brow. He was very much unsure of

how to respond to this man's energy. Sera watched Julius in confusion as to

what he could possibly be retrieving from the supply cabinet. A couple thoughts

ran through her mind of what it could be. She stopped at the thought of it must

be items for the lesson today. "So...what is

he grabbing?" Lunai asked with confusion. "I would not have a clue at all."

Zacharias remarked. Julius turned around, his hands full of little trinkets and

gizmo's and a box of gloves? The wide toothy grin now even wider then before.

"I'm so excited to be able to teach new students the wonders of medicine and

healing." He said ecstatically. Julius rushed over to his desk, dropping

everything onto the desk top. The students again exchanged glances at one

another with a couple of the students shrugging from not know what is going on

in the slightest. "OK got the

gloves, the vials and containers. And uhh...I'm missing something. What am I

missing hmmm..." He pondered for the time being. Scratching the back of his

head trying to remember exactly what he was forgetting. Doctor Heartly's face

was riddle with confusion and forgetfulness. Markarius turned his head and

stared at a student. "are we seriously learning about Medicine from this guy?"

he said with a whisper. The student looked back at Markarius and shrugged their

shoulders. "What was it.." Doctor Heartly continued in pondered thought until

finally with a click of his fingers he had finally remembered as his expression

would light up. "Oh yes that's right that's what I'm missing!" Doctor Heartly raised his hands and clapped them together. The students watched on wondering

what he possibly could be doing. Out of thin air books with thick tan brown

leather covers dropped onto the table tops in-front of the students thudding.

The students jumped in surprise. Some took a step back while others literally

jumped. "Sorry about all the dust, these books tend to like collecting dust."

Doctor Heartly said with his wide toothy grin.

Romerix picked up the book in front of him, observing the front and back cover of the

book. The book in itself seemed old and worn out like the pages are about to

fall away from their spine. "Healopedia?" Romerix questioned calmly. Markarius

had picked up his book with a finger and a thumb. He look disgusted at the

upkeep of the book. He did not want to open that old and decrepit looking thing

at all. Not only was it dusty but it also smelt stale. "I wouldn't even

consider this old...thing a book" Markarius remarked in disgust. Sera picked

up her book and wiped the built up dust off the cover. To her surprise it was a

bit heavier then she had expected the book to be. "When was the last time these

were opened?" Sera asked. Zacharias picked up his book and examined the cover

of the book and flipped through the pages to make sure none were stuck

together. The book itself stretched as time halted its days of being opened.

"it seems like ages, these look rather old." Zacharias stated calmly. Lunai looked

towards Doctor Heartly with a raised brow of confusion. She didn't know what to

make of these old books or why the academy has not recently updated to a latest

edition of the Healopedia. "everything we will be learning in this class will

be coming from this....I'm assuming outdated book?" she asked confused. The

class was buzzing with confusion and murmurs. "Exactly everything you will be learning

within this class will be found in that book in-front of each of you and yes I

know it's not the most up to date one but I find it better to learn from the

past then what is considered modern today." Heartly said cheerfully. Most of the

class didn't seem too sure about these old books. Markarius had dropped the

book onto the table top in disdain. It was definitely not worth his valuable

time. Why should i out of all people have to read something so vile in his

tastes. Romerix smiled with an up beat attitude about him. "Well i think this

is all we need. If it's good enough for our teacher its good enough for me."

Romerix said Doctor Heartly

picked up the box full of gloves off his desk. Briskly he walked over to the

students, handing each one a pair of gloves. "Now I require each and every one

of you to wear a pair of gloves and no they don't have holes in them either

before anyone asks me." Doctor Heartly said with a grin. Each student

without complaint took a pair of gloves for their hand size from the box in

Doctor Heartly's hands. They put the gloves on in a swift motion. Most were

wondering why they need the gloves while others had no idea what the gloves are

going to be used for. "So what are the gloves for?" Romerix asked. Doctor

Heartly looked at Romerix with his usual wide toothy grin while placing gloves

on his own hands. "So you don't come into contact with any liquid substances."

Doctor Heartly stated. "Now open your books to page twenty eight and you should

find what we will be making today." The students shuffled through their books,

flipping the pages to number twenty eight. Markarius begrudgingly opened his

book to page twenty eight. He didn't want to even touch that old thing if it

was to be considered a book. "Ointment for

thermal burns? What is a thermal burn?" Sera asked. Doctor Heartly was glad

someone had asked him this question. He now had a chance to explain what a

thermal burn is and how this ointment would be able to help with something of

this category. "Well a thermal burn is a injury caused by prolonged exposure to

heat or contact with fire itself. This Ointment we will be creating today will

help with the healing process of such an injury inflected upon the body." Doctor

Heartly continued. "We have come

to know of three different stages to a burn which we call a degree. The first

degree, the secondary degree and the third degree. The first degree is a burn

that affects only the outer layer of your skin. It causes discomfort and pain, redness

and irritation to the affected area and a small amount of swelling." Doctor Heartly said informatively. He walked

briskly over to a black cauldron that is sitting on the ground under a window

panel opposite of the classroom door.

"The secondary degree is a type of burn that affects both the outer layer and the underlying

of your skin. Just like the first degree burn but with a bit worse and with the

addition of painful blisters on the skins surface." Doctor Heartly continued.

He briskly walked over to one if the four tables the students were standing

around and placed the cauldron upon its top with a loud clang. "And the final

degree being the third degree is a burn that is far worse then the last too. In

the affected area of the body the skin can become either white or black from

the by how badly damaged the skin has become from the burn." Doctor Heartly

continued with a wide smile upon his face.

"there is also the possible chance on your bones, tendons and muscles themselves to be burned or severely damaged. But the Ointment we are making today is for the

minor first degree burn." Some of the students were taken aback by the

information given to them. Sera felt nauseous from merely thinking about what a

third degree burn could possibly look like. Romerix responded with a nod,

accepting the information given to him out of appreciation as he had no clue

there were different stages to a burn or how painful each stage sounds from the

stage before it. Zacharias and Lunai looked at one another. Eyes widen from hearing thee different stages to a

burn that could be inflicted upon someone's body. Markarius rolled his eyes as

he thought who cares what type of burns there is. He hates this class already

it's boring and the teacher is a serious whack job. He couldn't believe that

they are learning about Medicine from this fool. "Now read the instructions within your books and we shall put them into this cauldron and

make an ointment for minor thermal burns." Doctor Heartly grinned, a big wide

toothy grin. The students looked through the text upon the page for the

instructions and what is needed. The steps were rather simple all they needed was

the frontal lobe of an Antullo brain, heart of a Gullie bird. Two vials of red Primposo

blood, two vials of blue Violix flower oil, one vial of green Daisian flower

oil and one vile of orange Citricon juice.

Some of the students grab the specific ingredients required for the minor thermal burn ointment and handed them over to Doctor Heartly. He placed them into the

cauldron and blended them together with a large mixing spoon. The result after

a few minutes with the students observing the process was a thick liquid like maple

syrup but with a brass tinge to the liquid. "As you can see students the ingredients

have been mashed and stirred together into a thick liquid. This liquid you see before

you is the minor thermal burns ointment." Doctor Heartly said with a big grin. The Ointment itself had a surprisingly sweet musky smell to it. Some of the students looked into the cauldron in slight awe of how it turned into what it is now. "You all may grab

a small vial and fill it up with this Ointment for personal use for whenever you

happen to accidentally burn yourself if you so like too." Doctor Heartly stated.

Most of the students nodded in response. Each student grabbed a small vial off from

different tables of the four tables. They would take turns placing a vial into the concoction within the cauldron, filling up the vial

full of the Ointment that has just been made. Doctor Heartly would make sure there

is enough for everyone to have some Ointment. "And unfortunately I wish I could

teach you more but this concludes our lesson for today. Please place the gloves

you have on back into the box they were found in and you may head to your next lesson." Doctor Heartly said with a grin. A wide toothy grin. Most of the students

left shortly after saying goodbye to Doctor Heartly, Markarius complained that the

class was a waste of his time upon exiting the classroom. His face riddled with

annoyance. Sera left still slightly nauseous from thinking about the stages of burns

you could possibly get from heat or fire. Zacharias waved Doctor Heartly goodbye

with a smile and so did Lunai as they were exiting the class room. "Thank you for

the informative lesson Doctor Heartly I very much appreciated the lesson and what

you had to teach me." Romerix said with reverence and a bow. Doctor Heartly's grin

grew even wider then before. He was happy that Romerix was so eager to learn about

Medicine and its properties. "Oh well your welcome, I'm glad I could teach you something now off you go you got another lesson to get too after your break." Doctor Heartly said.Romerix waved Goodbye to Doctor Heartly and walked out of the classroom with new information he

didn't know before hand. "I can see he is going to be eager to learn everything

I can teach" Doctor Heartly said to himself. "Now to clean up and put everything

back to normal." He said calmly. He clapped his hands, the books would vanish into

thin air and the cauldron appeared beside a sink on the far wall of the medicine

and healing classroom.
