Spar and Clue

Wendy and Meredy stood while facing each other. They were being parted by several meters distance and somehow their expression was quite serious.

On the other hand, Bourne, Ur, Mirajane, and Carla were sitting 10 meters away from Wendy and Meredy, watching the battle between Meredy and Wendy which was about to start.

Bourne knew that Meredy's magic wasn't suitable to become a fighter, but it didn't mean it was alright for her to be weak. However, he knew that Meredy was a very talented girl, but even so, it was rare to be able to meet a girl whose age was the same as Meredy and whose talent was similar.

Usually, Meredy would train with Juvia, Sorano, or Ikaruga, though, sometimes, Meredy also often fought with the male members that Bourne had invited before.

But dealing with such people was different from dealing with people from the same age.

Bourne didn't want Meredy to be so arrogant, so Wendy's appearance was a good thing since Wendy could become Meredy's rival.

"Making her become her rival, huh? That's a great plan." Ur supported Bourne's plan and also thought that it would be good if Meredy had a rival.

"Yes, but I don't know how strong Wendy is," Bourne said.

"Hmph! You don't need to worry." Carla snorted and said, "Wendy is strong."

Mirajane smiled and said, "Wendy has mastered Sky Dragon Slayer Magic after all and of course, she isn't weak."

"But our Meredy is also very strong!" Ur had trained Meredy after all and she felt that it was quite hard for Wendy to do something to Meredy.

"Let's just watch so we can see who is going to win in this spar," Bourne said.

Ur, Mirajane, and Carla nodded since it was too wasteful to talk and it was better to watch to see who would be the winner between Meredy and Wendy.

"This is my first time fighting against someone whose age is similar to mine," Meredy said. However, she was quite skeptical since she didn't think that Wendy was able to defeat her.

"I - I will do my best!" Wendy clenched both of her hands while staring at Meredy. The job which she had taken was different from her imagination, however, she didn't mind it since it was also her first time to fight against someone whose age is the same as her.

"If you can't hold on then you need to give up quickly, alright?" Meredy said.

"Don't worry, I won't lose so easily!" Even if Wendy was nervous, she wouldn't be defeated so easily!

"Are you two ready?"

Bourne's voice was heard by Meredy and Wendy.

"Yes!"

"I am ready!"

Meredy and Wendy said at the same time.

"Then start!"

The moment Bourne's voice was heard by both of them, Wendy quickly made the first move!

Wendy gathered a large amount of air in her surroundings then a magic circle appeared on her mouth.

"Sky Dragon's Roar!"

Wendy released a large quantity of air from her mouth in the form of a tornado-like blast.

'Dragon Slayer Magic?!'

Meredy was surprised since she knew that Wendy's magic was similar to Gajeel's and Erik's (Cobra's real name) magic.

The moment Meredy saw Wendy's magic, she didn't intend to entangle with this attack since she knew very well about her weakness and strength. Her magic wasn't suitable for direct confrontation and she also knew very well that her magic was more suitable to be used for support, but even so, she wouldn't be defeated so easily!

Frankly, if Meredy had a masochist-like constitution or personality then her magic would be very dangerous, but she didn't have something strange like that.

Meredy dodged Wendy's attack and used her magic!

"Maguilty Sodom!"

Meredy created teal magic swords in the air and with a simple arm motion, she launched the blades, which then honed in on Wendy!

Wendy was startled, but then she raised her arms to protect herself from this magic, however, the moment, the teal magic sword touched part of her body, she could sense a pain was directly sent to the her brain which made her moan in pain.

However, Wendy wouldn't lose so easily and used her magic to face Meredy!

"Sky Dragon's Wing Attack!"

Wendy generated a large whirlwind from each of her arms, which twisted and rotated to attack Meredy along with the surrounding area.

The battle between Meredy and Wendy was fiercer than they had thought, but they had to admit that the two little girls in front of them were very strong, even on the standard magician.

"How is it?" Carla seemed quite smug when she saw how strong Wendy was.

However, Boure ignored Carla's remark and said, "Mira, do you still remember the phenomenon that is trying to suck Lisanna at that time?"

Mirajane raised her eyebrows and nodded. "Of course, did it happen again?"

"Yeah."

Bourne nodded and said, "And the frequency of that phenomenon is getting a lot over time."

"So is Edolas going to do something on our continent?" Mirajane asked with a frown since she also had complicated feelings about Lisa's hometown.

"Edolas?!"

When Ur, Mirajane, and Bourne heard this voice, they quickly turned toward Carla.

Bourne raised his eyebrow and asked, "Carla, do you know something about Edolas?"

Carla seemed very nervous at the time, but she still maintained her haughty expression and snorted. "I don't know something like that?"

"Really? Maybe you'll tell me after I grill you into a spicy grill cat," Bourne said while pulling Carla's tail.

"Wha?!" Carla was startled and wanted to get angry, but when she saw Bourne's cold expression, she was stuck there in fear and knew that this man wasn't lying with what he was saying.

However, the only one who saw this expression was only Carla and Mirajane and Ur didn't see anything strange in Bourne's expression.

"Bourne, you can't tease Carla like that!"

However, Mirajane quickly grabbed Carla from Bourne and hugged Carla tightly while looking at Bourne warily afraid that he might bully the member of Fairy Tail.

"You can't do that, Bourne." Ur also stopped Bourne.

"My bad. My bad, but I have a feeling that this cat might know about that phenomenon after all, right?" Bourne said while looking at Carla.

Carla hurriedly shook her head and said, "I don't know! I don't know anything!"

"...Is that so? I am sorry for scaring you then," Bourne said with a smile while patting Carla's head.

"..."

Carla didn't dare to say anything and only hugged Mirajane as close as possible since she had a feeling once Mirajane had let her go, she would be caught by Bourne without hesitation.

Bourne didn't force Carla and he didn't do anything afterward since the spar between Meredy and Wendy had ended, so both of them returned to them, and of course, the result was as expected with Meredy as the winner of this spar.

Bourne gave Wendy some reward money after she became Meredy's training partner. He offered to stay with them, however, Carla didn't want to stay and urged both Mirajane and Wendy to go back as soon as possible.

Mirajane and Wendy were helpless, but they could only follow Carla's words.

Bourne didn't mind and told them to come back if they wanted to play at his house and told Carla to also play too.

Carla could only smile reluctantly since she knew if she kept rejecting Bourne's goodwill then she would appear so weird in front of everyone.

When Carla, Mirajane, and Wendy returned, Meredy waved her hand with a smile since she also wanted to play with Wendy more so Meredy decided to send Wendy back, however, it was different from both Ur and Bourne.

"Did that cat have something to do with the phenomenon that you have mentioned before?" Ur asked since she knew that phenomenon was a very dangerous thing.

"Probably not, such a weak cat can't do something like that," Bourne said.

"Then?"

"But she knows something," Bourne said.

"Do you want to kidnap that cat?" Ur asked.

"No." Bourne was helpless and asked, "Do you think that I am that kind of bad guy who is going to steal a little girl's cat?"

"Yes," Ur said with a snort.

"......"

"Ugh... you hurt my fragile heart..." Bourne held his chest and seemed to be very hurt.

"I... I am sorry, Bourne... I... I didn't mean that...." Ur quick apology since she didn't expect him to be hurt this much.

"Well if you want me to forgive you then..." Bourne moved closer and whispered something to Ur's ear.

The more Ur heard the more her face turned hot and blush gradually covered her entire face.

"You're a bad guy!"

Ur couldn't help but complain, but from her tone, she didn't seem relucant.

"So do you hate me?" Bourne asked.

"I love you," Ur said without hesitation.

"I love you too so...." Bourne moved his eyebrow playfully before he caught Ur in his arms.

"Kyaaaa!"

Ur screamed coquettishly while hugging him tightly.

Bourne chuckled and slapped Ur's butt. "No one is going to help you now."

"Help!"

However, under this bad guy, Ur was quickly brought to the room and she tasted a new technique that had wanted to be tasted by Bourne.

Fortunately, Meredy went out to send Mirajane, Carla, and Wendy back so she didn't know what had happened inside Bourne's house.
