136 Brain and Zero
Brain didn't expect this guy to follow the script. In his mind, he and Bourne would talk to each other about morals, weapons, the darkness of the world, etc, then Bourne would be moved by his charisma and ambition before following him, however, everything was his illusion since he was being beaten up directly by this bastard!
"You bastard?!"
Even Brain had a good temperament, he was very angry when Bourne directly kicked him. Fortunately, his body was quite good, however, he had to admit Bourne's kick was so powerful and he knew that he couldn't take it again and ended the battle as soon as possible.
In his mind, Brain didn't care about Hoteye's words anymore and decided to kill this guy without hesitation!
Waving his Magic Staff, Brain used his magic directly!
"Dark Capriccio!"
A beam of darkness was fired from Brain's Magic Staff and it aimed directly toward Bourne!
The power of this magic was powerful since once someone was hit by this magic, their bodies would be penetrated by and created a hole on the opponent's body, killing them by drilling their bodies!
It was a very cruel method to kill someone, however Brain chose the wrong opponent.
A magic circle appeared in Bourne's mouth and he blew air from his mouth and caused the beam of darkness to freeze!
"!!!"
Brain was startled and looked at this scene in shock, especially when he saw the ice creeping toward his hand. He didn't hesitate and cut down his magic before distance himself from Bourne.
Then the beam of darkness fell down on the ground before it crumbled into a dust of ice.
Brain looked at this scene with a blank expression since one of his strongest magic was easily solved by the young man in front of him. He thought that it was only a rumor, but he also had heard the deeds from the richest man in front of him who was also known as one of the strongest water-based magic, but he didn't expect him to be this strong since a blow of air from his mouth was able to freeze his magic.
Klodoa, the Magic Staff of Brain that was owned by Brain, also felt scared when it saw how powerful Bourne was. Even though it wasn't a living thing, it could talk on its own and it also had its own personality and emotion. When it saw how the magic which was shot from it was frozen and almost froze it, it couldn't help but showed a fear toward Bourne.
"You are strong." Brain stared at Bourne and thought about buying time to cast his magic.
"And you're weak," Bourne said.
"You bastard!!" Brain was furious and thought to use his strongest magic or rather he thought that it was better to release his second personality, however, he held himself since he knew once he had released that second personality, everything would be destroyed!
At this moment, there would be a talk about ambition or why they should fight to each other when they could be peaceful, leaving each other alone, however, Bourne didn't follow the script once again and blew mist from his mouth.
Bourne knew that he couldn't persuade Brain to become his subordinate, or rather, it was better to defeat Brain so he could get both Midnight and Hoteye for his team.
When a mist was released from Bourne's mouth, Brain had always been wary since he knew something which came out from Bourne's mouth wasn't good, whenever it was his magic and even the words which came out from his mouth since it damaged him, in both physical and mental.
Brain and Klodoa didn't know what this mist was used for and thought that it was used to hide himself which caused them to disdain Bourne, however, when they felt the damage on their bodies, they quickly realized the use of this magic, especially when they saw the tree, ground, and lot of things around their surroundings started to melt.
"Brain-sama!" Klodoa screamed and it was scared since its body started to melt.
"Bastard!!"
It was the only thing which could come out from Brain's mouth.
The mist that was released by Bourne's magic was one of the magic which was being developed by Bourne. The mist was highly acidic in nature, capable of melting bodies easily and anything else.
Of course, this magic had its own downside since he couldn't use it when there was his allies, however, he could control the pH level of this mist to safer level, though, in this battle, he used it to the limit to melt his enemy without hesitation.
When Midnight and Hoteye saw this scene, they opened their eyes wide since they saw the mist which was released by Bourne could melt everything which made them shudder. Not only freeze, but also melt, they thought that this guy was very troublesome since all of his magic attacked a wide area which caused it to be very troublesome. Both of them looked at Sorano and sighed in relief since they didn't join Brain to fight Bourne.
Brain knew that if he did nothing, his body would melt without leaving even bones behind and he was wondering how could someone develop such a cruel magic, but then he knew that he needed to release the seal on his body or else, he would die!
"Zero, I will leave it to you."
Then the mark lines on Brain's face disappeared and an enormous amount of magic power was released blowing the mist which was released by Bourne away!
*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!*
"HAHAHAHAHAHA KILL! KILL! KILL!"
Brain had two personalities, one was his usual state where he sought fame and power, however, his other personality was different and he was known as Zero who was known to seek destruction in this world!
Zero's red eyes stared at Bourne with a dangerous light. "Don't worry, I will kill you slowly in pain!"
"Don't you realize that you're at a disadvantage?" Bourne asked.
Zero ignored Bourne's words and directly used his magic since he knew the the faster he defeated Bourne, the better it was since even he could see how dangerous his opponent was.
"Dark Gravity!"
Zero amplified the gravity around Bourne and when he confirmed that Bourne couldn't move, he used another magic to end this battle!
"Genesis Zero!"
Zero charged green dark energy on his fingers and casted open the Gate of Wraithwail, summoning many black phantoms (the "people of nil") to strike at Bourne to the point of them being engulfed completely by their sheer numbers alone!
The black phantom's despair screamed and reverberated through the forest, causing everyone to feel fear.

"Bourne-sama!" Juvia was worried and wanted to help Bourne, however, she was stopped by Ur. "Ur-sama?"
Ur shook her head and said, "This isn't over and if he wants, he can defeat that kind of opponent easily."
"This...?"
Hearing Ur's words, everyone was in shock.

Genesis Zero was very powerful magic and technique had been claimed to be capable of erasing a person's soul and their very existence!
However, in front of this magic, Bourne only froze all the black phantoms which were fired toward him.
"......"
"This...?"
Zero saw this scene with shock and couldn't believe what he had seen.
"Why? How can you solve my attack so easily?"
Bourne didn't say anything and stared coldly toward Zero.
"Do you have any last words?"
Since this guy had planned to kill him, then there was no hesitation anymore.
Bourne had always been wary of the magic which was related to soul and knew that once he was attacked by "Genesis Zero", he would die and his soul disappeared, however, fortunately, he was stronger since he could freeze the black phatoms.
"DIEEEE!!!"
However, Zero ignored Bourne's words and directly dashed toward Bourne, raising his fists ready to kill Bourne!
Bourne stared at Brain and said only one word.
"Rupture."
"......"
Zero felt that everything happened in an instant and he couldn't do anything before he felt his entire body was hot before all of his body fluids evaporated and his body exploded with its red blood cells scattering outwards like a crimson flower blooming in the spring.
*Splash!*
Then the rain poured down and cleaned up the aftermath of the battle.
Bourne felt tired somehow, but then he was hugged from behind.
"Let's go back," Ur said.
"Alright."
Bourne remembered that Ultear was waiting for him so he needed to go back first while bringing his two new subordinates.
