Manslaughter

A year passed in a flash and Eli has been freed from juvie and he has been enrolled back in primary school.

One would think that he would finally stop his activities, but no. He chose to put his newly acquired knowledge to use. Though, he's going to wait a few years for burglary and carjacking.

He started his year by stealing a set of golf clubs and taking it to a pawn shop. His friends from the facility told him what he steals he should take those to a pawn shop, because children can't be trusted. Of course, they talked about his classmates.

He got $736 for them.

That week he also stole a remote control car, hair regrowth product, ray-ban sunglasses, and a drone. From those, he got altogether $495.

He wasn't done yet, 2 months later he wanted to try something new. So he decided to try porch pirating or call it stealing a neighbor's mail.

He stole 5 packages and took them to an outlying place where he can open them.

The first package had a Jurassic Sphere DVD, the second contained some wrinkle cream, the third a Nentido Switch, the fourth a Narf Super Soaker, and the fifth a Ranoldo football jersey.

Eli took these to the pawn shop where he always sells these things. Totally he made $309

Later in the middle of the year, he was getting ready for another shoplift. He went in skillfully put a fancy sunglass in his backpack and was ready to leave. As he was walking out of the store something started beeping loudly. It was the alarm, again! And, again, the mall cop was there!

Eli was furious, not even a year had passed but he was going back to juvie? No way! He wasn't going to let that happen!

He looked the security guard straight in the eye, then took off faster than the Tasmanian Devil.

Of course, the security guard wasn't going to let that happen and chased after the boy.

'How the fuck is this kid so fast?' was what the mall cop was thinking about.

'Why is this guy still on me?' was what Eli was thinking about on the other hand.

After 15 minutes of non-stop sprinting, both of them showed signs of fatigue and they began slowing down.

Finally, the security guard managed to catch Eli. He grabbed Eli by the collar, lifted him off the ground and furiously look at the boy, and said "You lil' son of a bitch, I finally caught you!"

Eli was struggling, but it was to no avail. As a last resort, even if it wasn't going to help him, Eli wanted to at least do something, so he decided to smash his forehead with full strength into the mall cop's nose!

The man's head jerk's back and he lets go of Eli. His nose began to bleed profusely. He held his nose, then fell to the ground in pain.

Eli, full of adrenaline was breathing heavily, then without thinking, he took out a switchblade from his back pocket and stabbed it into the man's patellar!

Eli stepped back and looked at what he has done. Then he started trembling out of fear. He wasn't scared of what he has done, but he was scared because he wasn't feeling guilty, not one bit.

After a minute Eli realized that the man wasn't moving! Eli walked to the man and put his finger on his neck, checking for a pulse, but there was none!

He took a step back and gulped loudly.

"Damn." was the only thing that he could say.

Eli, not knowing what to do, walked home not saying anything about what he has done.

4 days later the police came knocking on the front door, arresting Eli.

After investigations, it was found that it was he who killed the man. Eli was charged with manslaughter, and he was sentenced to 5 years in juvenile.

A year passed and nothing happened except for this day.

Eli, now 10 years, was in the cafeteria with some of his friends. Then one of his friends said that "There are crimes that are not even a crime."

They started discussing what 'crimes' should not be punished.

That year that was the only thing that was interesting, other than that the only thing Eli is working out.

The next year he got a letter from his mother saying that he now has a little brother.

3 years later he was finally released, ready to make even more money.
