Synopsis

"Heart wants to love but fears the fate of being left alone." ------- He Jian I loved you more than anything in my whole life. To the point that it became poison for me. Now in this life, I loved myself. I sealed my heart for you. Then why are you not leaving me alone? Why are you constantly pulling me into your life.? Why do your eyes have something else other than disgust for me? Did you not hate me? What has changed? You or Me? -------- Excerpt A gentle kiss fell on her lips and a shiver ran down her spine. “I love you.” Her heart pounded fiercely inside her chest. These words. Oh, how she wished to hear them in her last life. She might have fainted from happiness if she had heard them at that time. But now, they didn’t bring that happiness to her heart. They only brought fear, confusion and anger, and so many questions. “How can you…” She whispered more to herself. How can he love her? He heard her and stroked her cheek. The touch was so gentle that it made her feel as if she was a precious treasure. It made her feel loved. She raised her head to look at him. The usual ice-cold-blue eyes were filled with smiles as he asked her. “Why can’t I?” She swallowed realizing how those eyes still affected her, realizing how weak she was. Tears surfaced through her eyes and she saw him panicking. He tried to wipe them gently as she whispered. “You can’t……..you just can’t." ~*~*~**~*~*~ Mo Roulan spent her whole life chasing after the man she loved with her whole heart. ---------

Amidst the dense forests, there was a very old shabby house.

Inside a room, there was a young girl tied to a chair. Her hands were tied behind the chair. The soft white skin of her wrists had become red due to the tight grip of ropes on her soft skin.

Her eyes were closed.

There was a small wound on her forehead with some dried blood on it. Her blue shirt was stained with mud and the rest of her clothes were also not in a good condition.

The unconscious girl on the chair opened her eyes suddenly. Her forehead was covered in sweat.

She was taking deep breaths. Her face was pale and sweat trickled down her temples disappearing in her black hairs.

She seemed to be awake from a nightmare.

A very horrible nightmare.

With every breath, her hands, which were tightly bound with the ropes trembled.

Unconsciously she tried to move her trembling hand towards a certain part of her body but she couldn't do so.

She looked at the lower part of her body. But her gaze fell on her short legs. Confusion flashed through her eyes.

She turned her head behind to look at her hands. As if realizing something, she looked around herself in confusion.

This place...

Her face went paler because of fear if it was possible.

How could she forget this place?

This place was the start of her ruin, her destruction. She will not forget this place even in her dreams.

Various emotions flashed through her eyes but the pain was the most dominating one. A single tear slid down from her eye as she leaned her head on the chair.

She could not believe that she was alive.

But the pain on her forehead was enough to make her believe that it was not her illusion. Just a few moments before, she was at her death door.

She wondered if all of that was a dream. But she knew that was not a dream. The immense pain in her heart, the dark red blood soaking her clothes, everything was true... not a dream. And this was also true.

She was back to when she was twelve years old.

But why?

To go through that heart-wrenching pain again?

Was it not enough once?

Countless tears slid through and her eyes were filled with pain as she sobbed silently remembering those eyes.

There was not even an ounce of sorrow or panic in those eyes looking at her miserable condition.

She was tired. Very tired.

With her head leaning on the headrest of the chair she was tied to, she blankly stared at the shabby celing of the room.

Her mind was a mess at this moment.

Nothing has started yet everything has been finished for her already.

Her heart was exhausted. It was empty. She didn't have any courage or will to chase after that person now.

Banggg...

At this moment, she heard something. She knew from where this sound was coming. There was another room beside this one.

And the person inside that room was unforgettable for her.

Everything was happening in the same way. Just that, In her last life, she had frantically released herself from this chair to rush there to save him.

But this time she was silently sobbing at her fate. She looked at the wall of the room silently.

Lost in her own thoughts, she reminisced about the past life.

'Was there any way to save herself from that heart-wrenching pain?

Yes, there was. To not involve herself with him again.'

'But... was it possible?'

She had tried before but couldn't do this.

'But now things are different.' A voice came from her inside.

Now her mother...her brother, they must be alive. A joy surfaced in her heart for the first time since she had woken up.

Now he wouldn't recognize her right...If only she could try to stay away from him then she can make it possible.

If she could fill her heart with him only then she could empty it again.

Even if not for herself...but for her family.

Her heart was filled with this new hope as she organized her thoughts. Since she was given a new chance then why not love herself and the people who adored her unconditionally rather than going after something which was never hers, to begin with.

Yes, he was never hers that was why all she got was pain and hate from him. She does not have any courage or will to go through that again. So in this life, she would seal her heart for him.

This time when she raised her head her eyes were different. The sorrow was replaced by indifference.

She, Mo Roulan will seal her heart for him in this life. She will not let him enter her life again.

Fate cannot be changed but destiny can be. Because your destiny depends on the choices you make.

And she will change her destiny this time.

But will it be that easy?

Because if destiny could be changed so easily then no fate would exist.

The Strange Groom's Cursed Bride

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A DEVIL FALLS IN LOVE? *** Alice was told that she was cursed. Perhaps she didn't need to be told. It was as clear as day. The only thing she wanted was MONEY. And she would do anything to get it. Even if it meant pretending to be her twin sister to change her fate. For one year. She didn't mind being a fake and marrying the Wildfire Heir. He would barely be around, she had been told. 'He doesn't seem like much trouble,' she had also been told. 'The third son, on the other hand, is crazy. Stay away from him.' 'As for the second son... avoid him at all costs.' 'Do not cross his path.' But she did. She crossed his path. In fact, she went right into his path herself. And as if that wasn't bad enough, the groom was changed at the last minute. To the Second Son! He was as hot as he was cold. A terrifyingly sexy man who looked like the man she always saw in her dreams. Was this all merely a coincidence? But that wasn't all. She hadn't expected pretending to be her sister to be this tough. First of all, she missed a very important detail: her sister was a Lawyer. She, on the other hand, was only familiar with "You have the right to remain silent..." Secondly, her sister was picky. She was vegetarian. She didn't drink. And... she was bullied? And just maybe... there was more to her sudden disappearance. Her life was about to get much more complicated. Especially with those scary blue eyes watching her every move like a predator on a mission. One year. Was the benefit worth it—worth putting her life on the line to deceive the Wildfires? She might die before the year was over. **** "Women like powerful men, Boss. They like to feel powerless when they are with a man." Hades had initially scoffed, but the idea had wormed its way into his mind. So when he saw her coming from the opposite direction, he decided to test this theory on her. Women liked to feel powerless? As soon as she saw him, her gaze sharpened, wondering why that madman was looking at her with a determined glint in his eyes. Should she run away? But he was already in front of her. "What are you—" He scoops Alice off the ground in one swift motion and drapes her over his shoulder like a sack of flour. All shocked eyes turned to the scene, but no one dared say a word, as they froze mid-air. "HADES!! YOU IMBECILE! PUT ME DOWN THIS INSTANT!" She thrashes wildly, kicking her legs and flailing her arms. Hades, however, remains unfazed, carrying her out of the place with a triumphant smirk. He didn't believe in love theories, but he had a feeling she would be falling in love with him after this. At the other end, three of his underling watched the scene. "I think Lady Boss is enjoying it. She looks… happy." One noted. The other underling tried to stare intently at Alice's upside-down face. "I think so... I've never seen her look so bubbly around the boss." The third underling was watching, slack-jawed. He facepalmed dramatically. This wasn't what he meant when he told them women liked to feel powerless. Meanwhile, Alice... (Still screaming) *** EXCERPT II: "She is not answering your calls and told you to STOP calling her. Boss, I think your little bride might be mad at you." He snorted. "You are so clueless." "What's your insight, Boss?" "If she keeps rejecting my calls, it only means one thing..." They all leaned closer to hear his powerful insight. "She wants my physical presence," he said with a smug look. One of them wanted to say he didn't think so, but he was too scared to say anything. "Should I go. Should I not go?" He contemplated with a bored look on his face. "GRANT HER WISH, BOSS!" The other clueless henchmen echoed passionately. He smirked. "If you say so," and then he stood up. "Get the car." **** Pleasee add to your library. A bit of dark and fluffy romance. 18+ Comedic. Makes you sit in the edge as Alice tries her best to never get caught (quite futile) See you in the comment section!

Let me preface this by stating that I was initially obsessed with this novel. I paid for full privilege multiple times (which was 1,500 coins more or less). Unfortunately, the story just kind of fizzled towards the end. I’m a sucker for rebirth novels that center around not falling in love with the terrible male lead in their second life. It’s my kryptonite. I was invested in the plot from day one. As the novel progressed, I felt that the pacing was a bit slow. I didn’t comment on it or anything because I figured the author was in it for the long haul. I gave it a chance. I’ve read stories with a thousand plus chapters, so if the author planned to write for that long, then the pacing wasn’t an issue. As time went on however, the story just kept going in circles. It was always shrouded in mystery and it offered more mysteries than resolutions. It also introduced a lot of characters, yet only focused on some while ignoring others that seemed more important. An example of this is introducing all of He Jian’s friends but heavily focusing on only Liu Ji Fan (and his love interest Tian Yuan). Not only did I not enjoy spending a lot of time on his character, I also did not like him at all. He was an overbearing abusive CEO type of lover and I felt like Tian Yuan was just abused. It seemed that he was sexually forceful with him and basically had him caged. I did not care for him and his persona at all. It also didn’t benefit the plot at all. You could literally remove his character completely and the story would be better for it because it wouldn’t have any useless filler. Then I saw that the author created a new story. This was around the 500s in this novel. The lack of attention and dedication in this story was reflected in their slow updates. Especially since the other novel was more successful. The other novel ended and while the author was gracious enough to decide to finish this novel, they did not give it the proper send off that this novel deserved. In roughly 100 chapters, the author tried to wrap up all the story lines. That means all the mysteries were going to be unearthed and all the characters that were foreshadowed to be important would make their moves in just a few chapters. Personally, it feels like the ending focused too much on drama that separated the two lovers over and over again instead of just giving us closure and character growth. We’ve read hundreds of chapters of Mo Roulan suffering. Can she not catch a break? Can we not get some sweet moments? Literally the last chapter is them agreeing to giving it another shot. It has three side chapters. I was holding out hope that it could be redeemed, but two of them tell you all of the past while only the last gives you a glimpse into their happy future. If you want to read the entire novel in just three chapters, you can just read the side stories. It’s everything you need to know. I would have preferred it if He Jian recovered his first life’s memories earlier on, and they communicated with each other much earlier on. That way they could’ve both healed together and we could’ve gotten to see them mature as people and as a couple. It would’ve been nice to also see the mom’s family and to have seen her be happy. The mom had such a tragic life yet we didn’t get to see her live the happiness she deserved with Chi Rong. I also would’ve liked some kind of retribution towards He Jian’s friends for how they treated Mo Roulan during her first life. Now that I think about friends, it would’ve been great if Roulan had friends, but I digress. I hope if the author reads this they can handle my constructive criticism and focus on improving their future stories. It’s upsetting as a reader when you spend all of your time and money devoted to a story only to have such an unsatisfying ending. I have nothing against you as a writer. I hope you continue to create and improve, and wish you success!
