Are You My Girlfriend?

Thankfully Jin Min had come to her aid as he assisted her in carrying the bag and ever since then had started chatting with her as they rode to the location of the shoot. Linx and Desiree had shot both of them weird stares from time to time but Dana completely ignored them keeping her attention on Jin who was quite the talker. Unlike her previous guess she was stunned to discover that Jin was 21 years old and she was only two years older than him, when he first told her she had thought he was joking but seeing the serious look on his face she couldn't help believe him. The conversation then moved to which of Linx's songs Dana liked, whispering she confessed that she didn't have any and had barely heard any of his songs except a popular one that had been very common among everyone in the country and that's how Xixi became a fan and started playing that particular song till her ears almost bled.

"You don't Know any of brother Linx's songs??! Jin asked stunned at Dana's revelation, unfortunately his words had made everyone's eyes fall on Dana who was silently praying the earth beneath the moving van would open up and swallow her. 10 pairs of diverse emotion encrypted eyes all on her making sweat form in the back of her neck. Linx looked more stunned but he didn't say anything thankfully, as he shifted his gaze to the driver who had also turned to stare at Dana, instructing him to focus on the road before he crashed them into a tree. Meanwhile Desiree, the make up artist and Linx's Wardrobe co-ordinator's eyes were still on Dana. Noting the awkward situation Jin changed the topic.

The shoot for the video started by 12pm because everything had to be set first since it was a remote location with a small stream which was home to a group of white ducks floated on it, it was also surrounded by green bushes and beautiful wild flowers which made the whole place look like somewhere from a fairytale drama. Althrough the shoot Linx kept her by his side, he didn't like the sudden closeness between she and Jin Min, she had even been laughing with him so annoying, far more annoying than the fact that she didn't know any of his songs but that was the reason he actually like her, she was different from most girls so it didn't quite bother him, he was in for many more surprises from Zheng Dana and he was looking forward to it.

  By 5pm the shoot ended, thankfully due to Dana's presence the video vixens stayed away from him a bit, as he had made sure she was always around him except they were shooting, leaving no room for them to flirt with him. Everyone got back in the van as they headed back to town in silence since everybody was already exhausted.

"Where's the other copy of the CD? Desiree asked Dana since she had been in charge of taking most of the important stuff back to the Van.

"There was a second CD ? I only carried the one the Director dropped on senior Linx's dressing table....

"Aish Zheng Dana... I asked you to carry the other CD from where I had left it on the food stand, I've got to send it to The board of directors this evening" Desiree said trying to sound calm even though he was already quite irritated which Linx could tell whenever he ran his had through his hair like he was doing now.

"I'm sorry manager Desiree, I was very busy it slipped my mind" Dana said in a low voice which erupted Desiree's anger.

"Stop the van! Stop it now, he commanded the driver who pressed the break abruptly causing the van to stop with force.

"Get down and go get the CD, we'll wait at the highway for you and hurry up before it gets totally dark" Desiree instructed Dana, without a word she quietly stepped down. Linx was about to intervene when Desiree sent him a stare that quickly shut him up. He had heard the crew members and the girls who featured in the music video make comments about him been too close to Dana and giving her preferential treatment and interfering right now would further magnify that assumption and he didn't want that, especially for Dana.

Dana got down from the van and started heading back quickly noticing that the weather had started to change and it was getting dark fast, she didn't want to be caught in the middle of nowhere. By the time she got to the location and found the CD it already started to drizzle and it was already dark which made her scared.  she stood in front of two cross roads trying to remember from which way she had come from as it started to rain heavly. Shaking like a leaf on a tree she was lucky to find the van prints which she followed running under the rain.

  Back in the van Linx was so worried he couldn't concentrate on the game he was playing.

"It's started to drizzle and she's not back yet he muttered angrily to himself shooting Desiree a death glare.

"She ought to be back by now, Desiree replied even though he knew Linx's remarks was directed more to himself. He too was beginning to worry, maybe he had been too unfair towards Dana and made a rash decision out anger, what was he thinking sending a girl back to that route early, more so all by herself.

"Stupid, stupid. Stupid" Desiree cursed himself as used his palm to hit his fore head.

" Open this door! Linx instructed startling everyone with his hash tune, sure he had a bad temper and often blew up but no one had really ever seen him that angry and concerned about anyone. Desiree knew too well to try to stop him now, so as he left asked the driver to drive back to the shoot's location but after the driver warned him of the bad road  and the possibility of them getting stuck in the rising waters he decided that they'll all give  Dana and Linx one hour to return and if they didn't, Desiree would call the cops.

A tree had fallen in front of Dana preventing her from moving forward and when she eventually crossed over her leg got stuck in between one of it's branches. What scared her more was the approaching male figure she knew even if someone kidnapped her here no one would hear her, it would just be like 14 years ago when she was adducted and sold into prostitution...it had also rained that night, heavily and although she suffered from memory loss and couldn't remember any other memories prior to that night and also her memory of that night was foggy. Just thinking about it gave her the creeps and watching who ever approached sent her into a panic attack.

Grabbing a small stick she could find the braced herself to defend herself in anyway she could, not until she heard a familiar voice call out her name. Never had she thought she would be so happy to see him even though she was unhappy he said nothing to defend her earlier she was grateful he was here now.

"Dana? Dan...a..? Is that you? Linx asked squatting down to meet her as she responded desperately.

" I'm here" she cried out

While helping her free her leg from the tree he heard her say something he was quite sure she hadn't intended for him to hear.

"He couldn't defend me when Desiree was shouting at me or stop me from coming here and now he's here to save me like one kind of hero, starring in too many movies might be affecting him" she scoffed biting her lower lips when she realized she had actually said that out.

Moving his head slowly above her's, with their faces only a few inches apart from each other he gave her a smirk that made her turn red in embarrassment.

"Are you my girlfriend that you expect me to defend you? He asked grinning at Dana mischievously despite the cold that had numbed his fingers but he was enjoying seeing her loose words as she stared back blankly blinking nervously causing her black mascara to run down her face like a witch, she looked too funny and cute he couldn't help staring at her and then she bit her lower lips in embarrassment which on the other hand made him lose control as he stared at her cherry red lips this time around he was the one blinking weird.

Dana winced in pain as her water splashed over the small injury on her leg which had been caused by the tree. Thereby breaking the awkward situation between them both, she couldn't help notice his flawless face and those deep eyes that felt somehow familiar she just couldn't place where she had seen them.

Without another word he swooped her in his hands like a baby as he matched quickly trying to find their way out of there.

Desiree was about to call the cops when the door of the van opened revealing two figures that were shaking like leafs during a windy day, they both looked pale, Dana who already looked pale on normal circumstances now looked like a vampire, the only colors on her face were the red of her lips and the black reminders of mascara smeared across her eyes.

Desiree looked pitifully at both of them as Linx carried Dana in his arms even though he looked quite tired, everyone was shocked at the sight but they were all too concerned about their welfare that they didn't ponder much about it.

"To the hospital" Desiree instructed the driver as Dana and Linx entered the van.
