A Seperate Contract

Sophie could not sleep the entire night because of the excitement to work with Junwei. He had told her not to come to the company, but she decided to go there. When she had Grandpa Yu on her side, she didn't have to fear anything.

She took a shower and went to the kitchen to prepare a light breakfast for herself. After having breakfast, she went to the walk-in closet. She checked many dresses, and finally, she chose a black crepe solid puff sleeves short dress. She wanted to try this outfit for a long time, and finally got the occasion to wear it.

She got dressed up in that dress and looked at herself in the mirror. She smiled and complimented her looks. Later, she dried her hair and then did light makeup. She wore a pair of black stilettos with delicate tulle set against a suede construction and a dainty velvet bow on it.

She checked the handbags that would go well with the dress and picked a black Givenchy bag. She put her essentials inside the bag and walked out of the closet room.

Ciao was already waiting for her outside the SUV. Sophie waved at him when he asked her why she wore such a dress.

"I wanted to try it for a long time. I look so confident in this dress," Sophie said with a wide smile and then got inside.

Ciao also stepped in and closed the door. "CEO Yu is always in anger. If he sees you in this dress, then he may explode like a nuclear bomb. You should have worn something formal. This dress is more suitable for a date," Ciao suggested to her, and asked the driver to drive.

"I am not a part of their company, nor am I going to any meeting with them. I am going to say hello to Junwei and remind him that I will trouble him more often after today. He called me an insane woman, so I must show him how insane I am!" Sophie said and took out her phone from the bag.

She checked her social media accounts and found nothing new. At that moment, she got a message from an unknown number.

She read the message and chuckled. Ciao glanced at her.

"Yi Zixun got the drama as the female lead. She is mocking me. How did she even find my number?" Sophie muttered.

"Seriously! Which drama did she get into? You had the offer of four dramas," Ciao asked her.

"A love of 100 years," Sophie replied. "That bi*ch! But I am happy. The actor they have signed isn't good for me. I would have been uncomfortable if I had to act with him," Sophie said, laying her head on the headrest.

"Currently, I should focus on Junwei," Sophie said and smiled.

"What did you say?" Ciao asked her. "Why would you focus on Junwei?" He squinted his eyes.

"I mean, I want to focus on the project with Junwei," Sophie answered. She was almost caught. She could not let it show that Junwei was her first love.

"I just pray to Buddha that CEO Yu will not be angry at us," Ciao stated.

They soon reached the company's administrative office. Sophie didn't get in through the rotating door and stayed next to it. Ciao kept suggesting her if that should wait in the lobby instead of grabbing unwanted attention, but she didn't listen to him.

"He may ignore us if we go in or may become a madman," Sophie stated.

The employees went in from the walk-in door. Some of them waved at Sophie before walking in. The security guards didn't stop Sophie from standing there as she showed them the document where it was stated that she would work as the brand ambassador for the new electric car.

Ciao was tapping his foot on the ground in nervousness when Wang Zexi came to them.

"Miss Lin, what are you doing here?" He asked.

"I am here to see CEO Yu. We are partners now," Sophie said when she saw Junwei's car coming in that direction.

She quickly stepped forward in excitement when the car pulled up. Junwei stepped out of the car and was stunned to see Sophie.

His jaw clenched to see her smiling at him. He had clearly told her not to show her face to him unless she was contacted.

But, no!

She did the opposite. She not only came to the office but also came in a dress that was not allowed in any workplace.

Wang Zexi walked to Junwei and greeted him. He had taken the keys from Junwei and handed them to the driver.

Junwei decided to ignore Sophie and headed to the walk-in door. Sophie noticed that and ran after him. Before he could step inside the door, Sophie stood in front of him, extending her arms out.

Ciao covered his eyes with his hand while Wang Zexi's jaw dropped down.

The employees who were away from them had stopped at their places.

"What are you doing? Get away!" Junwei said with a stern tone.

"How could you ignore me? I have come here to discuss a few things with you," Sophie said.

"My secretary will discuss that with your manager," Junwei informed her and asked her to get away. "Don't make a scene here in the morning," he stated.

Sophie lowered her hands and then crossed them against her chest. "Didn't you call me an insane woman? Now, you need to bear the consequences of it," she stated and blinked her eyes a few times.

Alex had stood next to Wang Zexi and asked him why Sophie was there.

"I don't know," Wang Zexi replied.

He rubbed the temple of his forehead and then told Sophie to follow him. She was astonished to find that he was allowing her to go with him. Sophie gave him the side and Junwei walked in.

After he left, she walked in, followed by the others.

In the elevator, when Wang Zexi, Ciao Hong, and Alex stepped in, Junwei told them not to enter.

Alex and Wang Zexi pulled themselves out while Ciao stayed in the elevator. Alex pulled him out when the elevator closed.

"Why did you do that?" Sophie asked and turned to him when Junwei slammed his hand against the metallic wall of the elevator and her back pressed on it. He was full of rage and she knew he would scold her or worse, say something harsh to her.

"Don't test me, Sophie," Junwei growled at her.

"I never did," she said in a low voice.

"You did," Junwei stated. "My grandpa will not be able to save you if I come to my insanity," he affirmed while gazing into her eyes. She lowered her eyes and bit her lip when Junwei stepped back.

"If I see you tomorrow here, I will step back from this deal even if I have to fight with my grandfather and mother," Junwei warned her.

Sophie pulled up a face and found he had turned his back on her.

The elevator opened and they stepped out. Junwei stopped as he reached into his office when Sophie's forehead hit his back. She immediately took a step back and rubbed her forehead.

She glared at him and made up a face.

"I want you to sign a separate contract with me," Junwei informed her.

"A separate contract?" Sophie asked in bewilderment and slightly tilted her head.
