Mysterious Man

Mo Zhexi placed a bet but it didn't mean he will give up on her when he lose. If he lose, he will retreat to advance to increase his success on making Xu Wenwen fall for him.

Mo Zhexi made an evil grin while sipping his coffee. He will have to make sure there are no rivals that will disrupt his pursuing.

Xu Wenwen, on the other hand, felt better after talking about her past to Mo Zhexi. The burden on her shoulders were faded away. She felt lighter now.

After their conversation, both of them quietly sipping their coffee respectively.

Lu Jingyi was on the way to work driving by herself since Mo Zhexuan was busy. It's been a while she took her car for a drive.

Before going to her studio, she needed to buy something for Father's Lu because his birthday was around the corner.

She had been thinking what to get for Father Lu and finally she decided on a massager. She recalled Father Lu recently complaining about his backache and was uncomfortable.

Lu Jingyi wanted her farther to be strong and healthy. She also bought some supplements and some herbs for him.

She went to the mall which was the nearest to her studio. First, she went to the shop that sells medical herbs. While she was picking the herbs, a middle-aged man tapped on her shoulder.

"Hello there, little girl."

".....Hello."

"Little girl, you look like someone I know."

"Oh..really?"

"Yes. How have you been recently? I hope you didn't have a bad day."

"I'm fine. Thank you."

Lu Jingyi frowned. It's weird that the man suddenly talked to her and asked for her well being.

The man chuckled on her reply. He knew that Lu Jingyi was cautious of him and she was being careful on her words.

"Be careful not to go out alone."

The man didn't talk anymore and smiled to Lu Jingyi. He then wandered on his own in the shop.

Lu Jingyi found it very strange from his words. What did he mean by that? She was confused but didn't think deeper. She finished choosing the herbs and went for payment.

After Lu Jingyi left, she didn't realize the man was still there watching her left the shop. Looking at her back, the man made a phone call.

"Keep an eye on her. Report to me if anything happened to her."

He hung up the call and left. He looked at the direction where Lu Jingyi was. His expression turned sour and left.

After buying some herbs, she proceeded to buy a massager for backache. While walking, she saw two familiar figures. It was Mo Zhexuan's friends, Chen Liwei and Han Xukun.

It seems that they were arguing about something. As she got closer, she could roughly hear their conversation.

"Do you not love me anymore?!"

"I've said before I only love you. It has nothing to do with my client."

Lu Jingyi covered her mouth. She didn't know the two were in a relationship. How unexpected. She thought Han Xukun was the straight type.

"That client of yours keep clinging to you like a koala bear and you didn't even push her away!! There's bound to be a limit where you keep a distance from your clients."

"She is going through a heartbreak because of her upcoming divorce. I'm just consoling her. There's nothing between me and her. Stop being unreasonable."
