Awkward

Ye Ruyi went to bed after hanging up on Wang Jiasi's call.

Next morning, she woke up as usual. She brushed her teeth, ate some breakfast and then left for work.

But she felt like something was not right. She recalled what made her feel this way. Then, her face darkened and paled at the same time.

Last night, she was talking to Wang Jiasi rudely and then hung up his call. What did she do?! Was she out of her mind?!

Shit!!! She actually spoke rudely and hung up on her boss. How she wished that it didn't happen.

How should she face him now? For worse, she could get fired. But according to Wang Jiasi's personality, perhaps it could be just cutting off some salary.

In a panicked state, she took a deep breath before reporting to Wang Jiasi.

She knocked and entered the office. She saw Wang Jiasi sitting on his chair looking at the documents.

"Sir, this is the report about Project X that's just finished by the team."

Wang Jiasi looked up and nodded.

"Put it on the desk. I'll look at it later."

Before Ye Ruyi came in, Wang Jiasi was at his office one hour before the work starts. He was trying to find a way to sincerely apologize to her.

He walked in circle in his own office thinking the best way to apologize without scaring her.

While thinking, he noticed it was almost time to start work. Through the window of his office, he saw Ye Ruyi walking towards the entrance of the company.

He then quickly went back to his seat and grabbed a paper to prepare himself pretending to read documents when she come in later.

When he heard a knock, he quickly changed his expression and pretending to read documents.

Then, he heard Ye Ruyi reporting to him and asked her to put the files on his desk.

Ye Ruyi, who was putting the file on the desk noticed that the document Wang Jiasi read was upside down.

She then shifted her eyes to Wang Jiasi and saw him reading the upside down documents with serious expression. She curled her lips and wanted to laugh but she suppressed it.

Looking at Wang Jiasi reading the documents in seriousness but in actual fact that he was thinking about something else was a very funny scene.

"Ahem. Sir, the document is upside down."

Wang Jiasi blinked twice after he heard her mentioned it. Awkward. He didn't even notice he was 'reading' the document upside down.

With an awkward laugh, he made up excuses to cover his embarrassment.

"Ha ha... I was training my eyes and brain to read the paper upside down. It could strengthen my brain and eyes to read whichever the position the paper is."

Holding her laughter, she nodded in agreement.

After calming herself down, she bowed and apologized to Wang Jiasi on her behavior last night. She was kind of in a bad mood and spoke rudely to him.

"No. No. It's fine. It was supposed to be me that should apologize. I was out of my mind that I threatened you last night. Don't worry, you won't lose your bonus rewards."

Wang Jiasi scratched his head with one hand and laughed awkwardly.

"Alright, sir. Then, two in the afternoon, you have a meeting with Mr. Chan who will be sponsoring Project X after finalization."

"Alright."

Both of them went back to normal and started working. None of them mentioned anything except work related matters.
